Well it’s official!!! I have been going to Chic Esthetic for a while. Initially, I was nervous because I never had a facial before much less laser. I started with my legs I have done 6 and nothing grows! It’s not to bad as far as pain goes. Except the ankle that would make a grown man cry. From there I did my arm pits, and face. Next will be the bikini and I am already have nightmares about that.
I had to come write this review because I am freaking out!!! For YEARS I have been wanting to have surgery to fix some areas that I have a complex about after having my boys. My husband unfortunately frowns upon all of it and has refused to let me get anything done. Since he has seen a change in my confidence after ridding my mustache he agreed to just let me have a consultation for surgery.
We went today to see the Dr. and it was a huge success. Once my husband found out that the Dr. Went to Texas A&M his attitude changed! The Dr. Was super informative and patient. After receiving the quote my husband agreed and we booked my surgery!!! So happy! Thanks again to the wonderful staff here for everything yall do. I will be having the «mommy makeover» early January. I will return here to give details about my surgery and ratings:)
Although I have always had an excellent experience there… I gave 4 stars not because of them, they deserve 10’s but due to the parking! If you get an early appointment the parking is not but around 3 – 4 it’s hard. I would recommend to everyone to park in the back and walk there. I have found that to be easier… Hope this helps all my fellow Unilocaler’s.

I had my surgery and I am unbelievably pleased! The physician was caring, and gentle! He told me exactly what to expect and nothing but that happened! My husband who was skeptical about surgery is ecstatic with my new mommy bod! I am extremely happy and recommend everyone to go to this office. Not to mention they have a laser that will help my scars…

Unethical and a RIPOFF!
I joined their unlimited membership for 199 $ per month (6 month minimum). I got laser hair removal, tattoo removal, laser facials, ultherapy, botox, and voluma.
Ultherapy — did not work. I see a VERY slight change. They expressed to me in the office that I was a perfect candidate and it should work well for me. Well, over $ 2100 later, my neck looks worse than it did before the ultherapy.
Laser hair removal — very slight change. I had it done 3 times, and I can only see a few small spots that have any change on my legs. On my armpits and bikini area no change.
Botox — I was given 40 units of botox on sept 9, It never did anything at all between my eyes and by dec 1 the botox on my forehead has COMPLETELY worn off. It has been wearing off for the past 2 weeks and it took about a week and a half for it to start working, so I only got about 2 months out of $ 400 worth of botox. I honestly feel that I either didn’t get the full 40 units or the botox was fake or watered down.
Voluma — worked, and looks nice. I also got it on Sept 9, so far no problems with it.
Body Wrap — I have no idea if I lost any inches, because I wasn’t measured that day. The lady that did the wrap was very friendly. The room that you are put in for the wrap is very relaxing, they turn the lights out, and I think some music was playing. It was incredibly relaxing. I was left in the room so long though, that I got up, unwrapped myself, cleaned up, and got dressed before the lady came back in. I was left for around 15 – 20 minutes longer than the wrap time. Not a big deal, and normally I would have thought it was great to have the extra time, but it made me run a little bit late for another appointment that I had that day.
Laser tattoo removal — works, I have only had it done twice, but I knew going into it that it would take many times.
Laser facial — I had it twice, I did see a slight lightening on a dark patchy spot on the side of my face, but no pore reduction or any other significant changes.
Most of the procedures did not work. I am so tired of getting ripped off and paying for services that don’t work, so after 5 months of procedures (and being big time disappointed about the botox wearing off), I called and talked to Ashlee, explained that the botox didn’t work between my eyes and had already worn off of my forehead. She was apologetic and told me that since I had 40 units, which was a lot for a first time botox, she was surprised that it had worn off already. She also told me that maybe my muscles are strong and that’s why it wore off quickly. I told her that I wanted to end my membership a month early. She had Amber, Dr Kratschmer’s wife, call me.
Long story short, Amber told me that I could not get out of the contract, told me that she could clearly see a change in my before and after pictures. Ummm, I can look in the mirror and clearly see that there is no change, and I took my OWN before and after pics, and my neck looks worse. I told her that I could send her a picture of my neck right now, she said that the picture had to be «specially taken»… really? they took them with an Ipad. I told her that I would go in and she could look at my neck and face. Nope, she declined. She never offered to redo the botox or ultherapy, never offered a refund, nothing. Never offered any kind of assistance. Just basically told me that I had to pay the last month. I told her that I felt that it wasn’t right that I had to fulfill the contract when they are charging me for services that do not work, she just kept telling me they did work.
Another time I called to try to reschedule an appointment and they put Amber on the phone, she was very snotty about it, but did finally reschedule it after acting like it was a huge deal.
All in all, Ashlee is very nice, Amber is rude, Dr. K is nice. I just don’t like the deceptive practice and extremely poor customer service. If you have a problem… you’re on your own. They are not going to offer any kind of help. And frankly, it is the biggest waste of money I have ever spent. I understand running a business, but ripping people off is not the way to do it.
I’m calling the BBB, I’ll update this review after.
***UPDATE*** So Chic Esthetiq filed a complaint with Unilocal trying to get my review removed. I went by the guidelines, this is my EXACT experience and it is not exaggerated at all. Sorry y’all. You can’t treat people poorly and just get a review removed.

Had a Groupon for laser hair removal, because I dislike paying full price before knowing the quality of the service. So let me list the ways this went wrong:
1. Their technicians don’t really listen to you – I’ve had this done before and I know how it should go. They MISS lots of spots (so you get stripey patterns once the hair starts falling out, and lines of untreated areas) and don’t make sure to do the areas the last session missed even when you point them out. I had this happen once at another salon and they had me come in for a free touch-​up. These people tried to tell me repeatedly that not all hairs will fall out with the treatment because only hairs in a certain phase will fall out. I’m in the medical field, and I get that. Not to mention this was not my first or second or even third area I was getting lasered, and I had in fact received treatments in the same area before at a different salon. What I don’t get is why hair is falling out in STRIPES, unless they missed some STRIPES. I was tipping based on the non-​Groupon full price, so they had no reason to treat me like this other than wanting me to need additional treatments (see 5).
2. One technician didn’t treat on a high enough laser setting and the entire treatment was ineffective – I tried to tell her it didn’t sting like usual and she told me she knew what she was doing. Guess what – it wasn’t effective. No hair fell out at all after the usual time. I informed management and all they did was make excuses and repeat that sometimes not all hairs will be treated. I repeated that NO HAIRS WERE TREATED. They didn’t care.
3. You also FORFEIT YOUR TREATMENT SESSION if you’re more than 13 minutes late. They will not let you reschedule – you just lose the treatment forever. Of course if you have to wait 15 or 30 minutes for them, there’s no penalty for them at all… And the area I was having done takes less than 5 minutes. I had to leave work early and drove over an hour in rush hour traffic to get to the appointment.
4. Their laser also seems less effective than other places I’ve been to – could be because the technicians don’t use high enough settings.
5. They scheduled me TWICE for appointments after my «6» treatments (really 4, because I was late to one and one was ineffective). These appointments were made without my knowledge or consent, because I told them after the last treatment that there is NO WAY I would come back and pay for more. THERE IS A FEE if you no-​show to these appointments which they kindly schedule for you behind your back.
6. Partway through my treatments, they changed things so that Groupon appointments can no longer be done on Saturdays (which is the reason I had chosen them in the first place). Thus resulting in my forfeited treatment session due to being late from driving in rush hour traffic to make an appointment.
7. I had a different technician every visit. When I called management to complain about the ineffective treatment, the manager stated they had a lot of people who had left. Seems they have high employee turnover…
Hope this helps someone. Don’t come here. It’s not even worth the Groupon price. I wish I hadn’t tipped at all now.

I bought the laser skin removal Groupon and was always «rushed in and rushed out» during each of the sessions. I did everything as I was instructed to do but the treatments didn’t work at all. I got my bikini area treated and it’s never looked any different and I have the same amount of hair growth there. Oh well, waste of money. I’ll just stick to waxing.

Dr. Kratschmer and the staff is welcoming, kind, friendly and knowledgeable. I have had surgery, basically mommy makeover, full body work. I have been to the med spa for chemical peels, facials, botox and more. I have purchased Skinceuticals and other skin care products that Amber and the doctor have instructed me on how to use. The dr, the anesthesiologist, the nurses and office staff make you feel at ease, their priority is your comfort. I have been to them several times.

I had a groupon for them for 6 facial hair removal treatments. I guess they don’t have the right laser equipment for darker skin tones, even though I specifically asked before I purchased the groupon. After my 6 treatments I have not had any difference in hair growth… I would not recommend. But I will say the my technician was really nice and professional. Never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for each appt. And even though I wrote down the wrong time and missed my last scheduled visit, they were nice enough to fit me in when I showed up at the wrong time!

I really dislike this medical spa!!! I have been to a ton of medical spas and this is my lease favorite ever. I signed up for the chic rewards package and you get a $ 150 credit during your birthday month. At the time I assumed the credit was applied to your account during the month of your birthday and didn’t expire. During my birthday month I was moving and had to make several trips back to Louisiana due to an immediate family member being given a few days to live. I called in June and my credit wasn’t available for use anymore. I think the chic rewards is just a scam and I don’t think the office personnel are that nice or willing to work with customers. I will never go back here again!!!

I have been getting laser hair removal treatments at Chic Esthetiq for over a year to different body parts. I started as a groupon client and have loved my results. Not to mention my husband commenting on how soft the skin is on my legs. No more stubble! I have been to a couple of other med spas for laser hair removal and not had the results I have achieved from chic Esthetiq. The ladies who do the treatments are knowledgeable and very nice. Now with the extended hours I find it even easier to make appts.
I have a 13 year old daughter who has the same excess hair issues I have and she noticed my results. She asked when could she do it. The staff agreed the treatments could be done on her too, if she was willing. I did get her pediatrician’s approval. So we got her started and she is so thrilled with her results. Two treatments to her sideburns and she’s now confident enough to wear her hair up and away from her face.
I have shared my experiences at work with coworkers and some have gone for treatments. They have enjoyed their experiences too. They have gone for different treatments like tattoo removal and laser facials.
Love this place.

I found about about this business from a Groupon and I went for laser hair removal. The office is clean and modern. The staff is experienced, professional and friendly and they were always happy to answer any questions I had. Once, when I had to change an appointment, they switched it to the next day with no problems. They never left me waiting, as I was always brought into the back after less than 5 minutes of my arrival. The results have been excellent and I recommend this business for laser hair removal.

Horrible service, I called for information because my friend is getting laser here and I was going to do the same, but after that horrible way the lady attended me I’ll take my business elsewhere, I’m not going to pay for a spa to treat me like crap !

Very Rude… Missed a Monday morning appt, daughter got sick in middle of night, Had to bring to pediatrician made it count as 1 of the package appointments. Appoinment only takes less than 5 minutes, No way to call before.
Would never recommend.

Very disappointed… The aesthetician was nice but didnt explain anything, and when i asked her questions, she sounded unsure. The session was awful, she asked me to remove my clothes without a touch of privacy. Not even a blanket or towel. The price was way unreasonable, not to mention, they increased the price at the last moment… … all in all, I had a better, more honest service elsewhere and wont go back here.

I purchased a groupon deal for laser hair removal. I’ve only been to two session so far but my experience has been good. The ladies are very polite and friendly. I didn’t have to wait too long and they are professional. I would definately recommend this place for laser hair removal.
