Dynamic Fitness

I go to the Pearland and Post Oak locations and I really like both. Parking is easy, competitive membership prices, dry sauna included, clean and up to date equipment. The Post Oak location has a more outgoing/​friendlier staff but both locations have good service. Classes are included and personal trainers are available.

I don’t know what they tell their sales team but they are aggressive. Once you turn in your trial pass they bother you till you get a membership.

The gym itself has been fine to work out at. The classes are good and are offered at a variety of times, which is very helpful. The equipment itself feels older as does the building, though. If you are looking for a «no frills» gym that’s not too expensive, it’s not a bad choice.
The reason for the bad review is the membership salesmen and management. When you sign up (by a VERY pushy membership salesman), your membership is set to automatically renew unless you go through ABC Financial, submit an email or certified letter, and then pray that they get it right. Any time you try to talk to the gym about your membership, they just give you ABC’s card. I called ABC, and they gave me the severe run around, quoting me three different end dates to my contract. I even spoke to the manager, who said that I just «asked questions incorrectly» and that it isn’t their fault I can’t ask a question the same way every time. I finally just paid the rest of my account in full and am still attempting to cut ties with them. Frankly, it’s not worth the hassle.

If i could give it a zero i would. The actual gym itself is pretty awesome all the equipment is like new and very spacious but the managment, staff and customer service for this compnay is HORRIBLE, they are the reason for the low rating. Signing up with dynamic was so easy and fast but now that a mamber on my account is trying to cancel they make it so difficult that you just want to keep paying the monthly fee. Signing up is ofcourse done in house but after that any problem with your account you have to deal with a third party since they out source that part. If you even mention or have any questions for managment about canceling they literllay brush you off like your nothing hand you some card with a number and say just call them.

After my previous Unilocal review of Dynamic, the manager reached out to me and apologized for us being told that we would have to both pay $ 10.00 for daycare for both of us to be able to drop her off even though our daughter lives in the household with us. She has since fixed the problem and we only pay one daycare a month instead of two. This was my only complaint. the machines are new, it’s never overcrowded, the spa is nice and personal trainers are available. it’s by far the best gym in Pearland.

Terrible experience with the free 5-​day pass. I live in SF but I’m visiting my family for Thanksgiving 2014, and I got the 5-​day pass because it says on their FB page that if you like them, you get it.
So I go in and try and redeem, and as soon as DJ, the sales guy, learned that I lived in SF, he immediately told me he couldn’t give me the 5-​day pass. This was AFTER he had told me that he could give me the 5-​day pass no problem.
I don’t like this discrimination, especially since the FB page doesn’t say that I have to be a resident of this area to redeem the pass.

Dynamic Fitness is a good gym experience that is completely ruined by an inept management team and the constant threat of unwanted charges and extra fees.
After filling out paperwork to «freeze» my account while going to college, I continued to be charged $ 27 a month and was never refunded. Dynamic outsourced their billing to a third party billing company, so they claim they don’t know what the billing issue is and give you a 1 – 800 number. Though they claimed that freezing my account would be free, the billing company said I would be charged $ 5 a month.
When I tried to address these problems with management, I simply received an email thanking me for sharing my problems, but not offering to fix any of them. I enjoy working out here, but the hidden charges, lack of explanation, and completely incompetent staff here have forced me to find another gym.

This is an awesome gym to workout. I was impressed with their competitive prices, wide selection of equipment, prompt customer service, and they didn’t oversell. Because of this last one, I told him I would definitely recommend them. I hate when gyms try to oversell me especially since I know what I want.
Unfortunately, they were missing one of the main things I was looking for; a basketball court. Other than this, I would have signed up today. If you can do without a ball and hoop, this is a great place to go.

Great gym! Definitely different vibe from your large chain 24 hour fitness and LA Fitness. You can be super fit or not fit l. you don’t feel intimidated coming in or feel like you are going to be hit on. This is a good private gym

Dynamic Fitness Pearland — Make sure you read all the details of the contract you sign. I was not aware there was an annual membership fee and it was not communicated when I signed up for a contract. Overall my gym experience was decent but I consider not making sure a customer is aware of an annual fee SHADY!

Customer service is nonexistent at this gym. Often the machines, especially treadmills, are dirty and the clean wipes stations are often empty. On several occasions the air conditioner has gone out in the group fitness room. Contracts are very confusing and the «managers» try to trick you into signing up for more than you want without good explanation of the plan. One personal trainer told me that I was a nuisance to his schedule when I confronted him for always changing my scheduled workout time. He even said that I was not worth the $ 9 he was making on each of our sessions. I would go to any other gym over this one.

I can say without hesitation that Dynamic fitness is the best gym in Pearland. Unlike the local 24 hour fitness, Dynamic is rarely crowded, has state of the art Free Motion equipment, is kept very clean, and has the best Spin studio around. I enjoy working out at Dynamic Fitness.

Love this gym. Big, expansive, high ceilings, brand new, clean, no wait time on machines (unless rush hour then maybe little). Love this gym.

Good work out facility. It has everything you need for a good workout plus many different approaches and varied equipment for strength development. One thing that would really make better is better connectivity such as cardio machines that users can log into so that work out stats can be tracked by online programs and or audio you plug into to get sound from the tvs. But other than that its a pretty good gym.

I love this gym! I used to go to LA Fitness in Sugarland and made the switch a couple of weeks ago. This place is clean, never overcrowded, friendly staff, and the A.C. works nicely. Plus there are large fans that help circulate the area. The gym is conveniently located close to HEB and easy to get to. The price is also very reasonable!

I love this place. SUPER clean! Classes aren’t all in the afternoons which is a huge plus.

I really like this gym. I’ve been going for a few weeks now.
There are a lot of machines and free weights for use. It has never been so crowded that I have to wait to use something (unlike 24 Hour Fitness). The place is very clean.
They offer a lot of group classes on a pretty decent schedule. I’m normally back in Pearland from work by 4:30 and have to wait an hour for the first classes at 5:30 but it isn’t a big deal. The group classes are never packed. The most I’ve seen is maybe 15 – 20 people in a room that could easily fit 30.
They have a really nice cycle class room.

Towels are provided and the lockers have built in 4 digit code locks so no need to carry around my own lock.
The crowd is nice too. I never feel uncomfortable or the need to put on a show. I like my gym to be a gym not a singles see and be seen hang out.
They had a great special when the wife and I signed up a few weeks ago. No sign-​up fee and somewhere around $ 65 a month for the two of us. We can also put the membership on hold if we are going to be gone on vacation.
There is also a kids play area and I think they have a couple kids group classes.
It is also conveniently located near the Pearland Town Center, HEB, Academy, etc., so it is easy to run errands before or after a workout.
I highly recommend this gym. Best in Pearland.
