Jax burgers are GREAT! Service is super friendly, fast and the food rocks! Mushroom burger, sweet potato fries, garlic fries(VERY garlicky, so not for date night LOL), and shakes are wonderful(and made with REAL Blue Bell ice cream!). They also support local schools which is another plus in my book!

So after my burger bust at Killen’s Burgers recently, we decided to try Jax Burgers-Fries-Shakes on Shadow Creek Pkwy. It’s a no frills place I will admit… the design is actually a bit odd with the drive-thru window way out to the side of the order counter and employees… but I guess it works for them. There is seating in the front… and in the back of the kitchen area. The Order: my husband got the baja burger comes with bacon, jalapeños, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mustard, and cheese… then he got Cajun fries. I got the JAX burger with grilled onions and a side of garlic fries, and a chocolate milk shake. What I like the best is that if you wanted to add extras to your burger(grilled onions, avocado, mushrooms, etc) the option is available. Total we paid about $ 29 for 2 burgers, 2 fries, 1 milkshake, and a soda… I guess its not to bad considering the location and the amount of food. The Food: I can’t deny that JAX burger is really good, seasoned well, and overall I was completely full with half a burger… it was a bit greasy but that might have been the garlic fries so close to my burger. The garlic fries were definitely good… a tad bit to much garlic… but I still enjoyed them. The milk shake was heavenly… Rich, chocolatey, and oh so yummy.(I think they use BlueBell ice cream). My husband loved the baja burger… seasoned well… in his terms«con sabor». He also enjoyed the Cajun fries and ate them all. Did I mention they have 3 types of ketchup: Regular, Jalapeño, and Sriracha… I’ve never seen the Sriracha ketchup… I was a bit curious to try it but alas i stayed with regular ketchup. Both were pretty big burgers and we both walked away with a full belly, a smile on our face, and leftovers for dinner… and yes we did eat our leftovers for dinner and it was equally good as I love cold leftover burgers and we threw the fries in the oven for a few minutes… just as delicious as eating them in the restaurant. Overall this place is a whole lot better than Killen’s…and if they weren’t to far from us it may actually be our regular burger joint but before we give that title out we are hitting up Pena’s Donut Heaven & Grill next weekend.

Good, griendy, fast service via drive-thru. Whoa! The burgers are great, fresh meat and fixings. They are large enough for 2 people. I also had the cajun fries that were made from REALLY potatoes but a little too much salt. I will visit again!

We stopped in again and I ordered the double meat this time. It was huge and I loved it. Just a reminder the combo is a smaller burger. Real hamburgers arent part of a combo.

These burgers are just delicious, the bun is dense and chewy but soft, the burgers are juicy and flavorful add melted cheese and their delicious fries and it is a happy lunch. They also cater with a food truck I have been to a wedding that used them and we did a company Cinco de Mayo party and they catered it and the burgers and fries were a huge hit!

I only live a couple minutes away from this place, so after coming in I was upset at myself for not trying It out sooner. The burgers were huge, a good thing bc of what we paid. It’s one of the better options around pearland. I got the mushroom burger & chili fries(both were very good) The service was nice, I came in during the early afternoon when it wasn’t busy. Only bad thing was that I felt a little awkward feeling the lady behind the counter staring at me at times, but I’m just assuming she was bored because there wasn’t a whole lot of people inside. Maybe next time I’ll try the drive thru

I was already intrigued by the name cuz my son name is Jax. I was also thoroughly impressed by the burger. I got a Jax’s combo a, ¼ lb with cheese, fries and a drink. Very tasty, the burger was seasoned and on a soft bun. It is hard for me to find a true good burger and this one got my attention! !

God blessed with opportunity to be born a Texan, I figure it’s my obligation to take advantage of all the great burger places within these borders. Jax is definitely one of those. I’ve been here many times and I always run into the problem of coming to the menu and not knowing what to get. Somehow, the Shroom Burger has taken that problem out the window because I get it every time and am never disappointed. It’s likely that I’ll be a soon-to-be regular.

These are the best burgers I’ve found in the area! The shakes are amazing and the fries are even better. I wasn’t a huge fan of the chili used on the chili cheese fries, but the garlic fries are delicious.

Lovely garlic fries and amazing mushroom burger! It’s a big juicy burger, they won’t cut back on bacon. You have to try it! And the people working there, omg, always smiling and treating you gently :)

Walked in here because I was starving. The cheeseburger is really good and fresh, and portions are decent. I got the garlic fries but don’t think I will again as it was fairly plain. They are good, but I just think I would try another side instead.

I absolutely love this burger place. Its like a old hometown burger joint with homemade burgers and friendly staff. I tried the Baja burger and the chicken sandwich with the chilli cheese fries and the garlic fries. I was with someone else so I got to taste more than one thing. It was all great, the patty was seasoned and the fries was good. My only complaint is the garlic fries are good but it’s just basically regular fries with minced garlic on it. Overall it still was good and I will be back over and over again.

My fiancé and I just moved to the area and saw this place had great reviews, so we decided to try it for a quick bite last evening. We are from Austin and were expecting something similar to Mighty Fine. And for $ 6/burger in Texas, we really expected some high quality simple burgers. The burgers were just okay and a good size. We tried the garlic fries based on recommendation, and they were soggy and greasy. The staff was distant and not very accommodating /nice, but I guess what can you expect with teenagers??? Overall, we were not very impressed. We might come again to try the shakes or if we are desperate on a Friday night and don’t feel like driving into Houston or somewhere further for food. Pretty average place, despite the rating.

Probably my favorite place to eat in Pearland other than Killen’s. The burgers are huge and delicious. The buns are perfectly toasted, the meat patty is thick and juicy, and I love all the various toppings you can get. I usually order the guac burger. It’s messy but divine. Their customer service is really good too. The restaurant is small but cozy.

The burgers here are just great. They WILL fill you up if you get it with fries. I only tried a couple of the burgers but all the other locals rave about this place. Kind of a hard place to find if you’re not looking for it. The food is good. The only complaint I have of this place is the workers. They have always got my order correct but for some reason it is an awkward experience with them. They look at me like I’m an idiot even though I’m very clear in what I want. I’m not sure if I’m saying things wrong, if I have something on my face or what the problem is but its like this every time. I have even focused and made sure I don’t say anything wrong and it’s all the same. This kinda keeps me away because I really don’t like feeling like I’m dumb every time I try to order something. I would put a 5 star on the food and 2 on the service.

This burger was the bomb dot com, the bee’s knees and the thunder from down under! The burger was juicy, bacon crispy, Cajun Fries all cajuny(if that’s a word) and customer service was real good! Try them out of your in town, defiantly worth it!

We weren’t too impressed with this place. We were actually disappointed as based off the reviews, this place seemed to be a hit. We ordered a jax cheeseburger, a jax hot dog, a bacon jalapeño burger, 2 drinks and an order of fries. Only 3 meals for $ 26! That seems pretty expensive to us for the quality. Here’s why: Everything was just over seasoned. Way too salty, especially the fries. And for all of us to agree, must’ve said something! The hot dog was good, but I mean it’s just a hot dog. We did decide to get a shake though. Lol we needed to get the saltiness flavor out of our mouth. We tried an Oreo shake and a Reese’s peanut butter cup. They were delicious. Sad to say probably the only good thing about this place.

Unilocal really needs to allow profanity, because these burgers are that effing good. Grilled buns, hand made seasoned patties topped with fresh tomatoes, lettuce, onions and cheddar. Sh! t, it is good. I typically go with a side of sweet potato fries, but if your heart can take it the onion rings are effing tasty too. I’d visit 2 – 3 times a week if the results weren’t a body that looks like the«mo’ money…(snort), mo’ problems» Biggie Smalls. Major con is not food related, the lay out of the restaurant is also sh! t. The dining areas are separated by a long hallway with the kitchen and restrooms on one side. Drink station is near the door of the main entrance and the front counter layout eats up way too space. In their best interest to shut it down for a month and fix it to allow more table space.

3.5 stars for hot and fresh burgers and fries. Stop by the drive thru for Texas burger, garlic fries, and strawberry shake before heading to the airport. Overall the food are decent. I would go here for burgers instead of any other places in the Pearland area. Rounding this up to 4 stars.

Rarely do Hubs and I make it to this part of Pearland on a weekday or Saturday, so when we had some biz to attend to, we decided to eat at Jax Burger since it was actually open. I really had high expectations because this place has really good reviews from my fellow Unilocalers. Unfortunately, I was a little let down. While the burgers are good, I have had far better burgers at places like Tookies and even those that my husband makes. I will say it’s a charming place and it seems like they have a lot of regulars that come in based on conversations the staff would have with them. I would have given them an extra star, however, as I was walking to the bathroom, one of the workers was coming out of it, and when I entered the bathroom, the toilet was full of toilet paper and urine. Why didn’t she say something to me about this and go back in and correct it? Ugh.
