Pearland Innovative School of Beauty

This school was a terrible experience for me. There is absolutely no structure, no professionalism. I had 972 hours towards this school and ended up having to withdrawal because I was learning NOTHING, I wouldn’t of been able to pass my state tests. They treat you as employees rather than students. They’re more worried about making money than teaching their students. Might I add, favoritism is a HUGE problem at hand too. Wouldn’t advise attending this «school» or wasting your time and money.

Got a cut and a roller set for a great price everyone was nice and friendly. They do much more than roller sets. I watched as I sat under the dryer and everyone’s hair was coming out nice, but for the price who could complain! Btw my hair was very pretty (Danielle did it) just like I went to a normal shop.

I have cut and colored my own hair for years. My hairstylist friends often give me a quick trim to freshen up but the majority of services are just too expensive for me or are quite a drive out into the more trendy areas of Houston such as the Heights or Montrose.
Enter Pearland Innovative School of Beauty, right in the heavily populated area of West Pearland. If you have a tight budget or want a new trendy style without the trendy salon overhead, may I suggest this cosmetology school as a place to get groomed? Unlike preconceived notions of an inexperienced teenage staff at «beauty school» thanks to Grease, the staff at PI come from various ages and backgrounds to make for finding someone to suit anyone’s hairstyling needs at a fair price. I had my hair washed, trimmed and blown out for $ 12, which is less than the cheap chains charge for just a cut without shampoo service. You want trendy color or an undercut? They can do that. You want a wash and roller set, they do that. Kids? Yes. Men’s cuts? Yes. Weaves/​extensions? Definitely from what I saw when I was there. Makeup application and lashes? Girl, yes.
When you come here, you aren’t just another client. You are building a student’s skills and that’s what’s REALLY COOL about using a cosmetology school, besides the fact it is way more budget friendly than a big chain salon. Take a chance. Get glammed. Support your community.
