Brought my 1998 4Runner in for inconsistent starts and mild engine oil leak. They checked and called up saying it started up ok. Leak was from a loosely put back engine oil plug, thanks to the last oil change (a dealership at that) and doesn’t require any repair according to them. I knew the starter had been repaired 2 yrs prior and could have been on its last leg so I asked them to replace it entirely. Very honest in my opinion. Car has been working flawlessly and charges were reasonable. Would recommend this place to anyone.

We’ve been going to Topes for car repair service for many years. These guys are good and trust worthy. No questions when I go there if the know what they are doing and they don’t try to over sell me on service.

Just maybe the most honest auto shop in Texas.
I’ve been a happy and satisfied customer for years. I’ve never felt cheated or lied to, I can’t say that about any other car repair shop I’ve been too.
As long as there’s a Topes, I cannot see myself going anywhere else, and I recommend you do the same.

These guys are THE BEST! No matter what issues we have with our aging vehicles, they always find and correct the problem, the first time we bring the car in. They always call with an accurate cost estimate and an estimated time. Our cars have always been ready to go when they promised. They have loaner cars available. We won’t trust anyone else to work on our cars.
