We’ve always had a good experience dining in and delivery. Last time I was there we had a clam, garlic, and bacon build your own pizza. It was phenomenal! Tonight our delivery order had a small mistake and they handled it perfectly, with great customer service, a smile, and a super quick fix… can’t ask for more than that! Having worked in the food service industry for so many years, I can appreciate that mistakes happen all the time but it’s all about how you treat your customers when they do. Go and enjoy! You won’t be disappointed, we never have been!

The food was good and had great service. But the water didn’t taste so good. I would recommend a pie with pesto on it.

This is a wonderful little place located in downtown Peekskill. My friend and I were attending a concert at the Paramount, and were in the mood for Italian/pizza and a few beers before the show. Gleason’s was the perfect choice! We opted for a few Founders All Day IPA, along with the meatball appetizer(three large meatballs tossed in marinara and topped with melted mozzarella… tasty!) and 2 small sourdough pizzas, the Broccoli Rabe & Sausage, and the Clam, tomato &3 cheese pies. Man, were these good! At first we didn’t think we would be able to eat it all, but somehow we did, and they were delicious, cooked perfectly, crisp on the outside, nice chew in the middle, and the topping were heavenly. Sat a the bar, which provided some great conversation from the bartenders, and seeing as it was happy hour, the bill for 2 came to $ 65 which wasn’t bad at all. I would definitely go back!

We have heard great things about Gleasons from our friends so we figured that we would try it out. We ordered a Chicago Deep dish and a Leonardo. Honestly, I don’t understand what the big hype was. The pizza was alright and expensive. We ordered two pizzas, a side salad, a beer and glass of wine and our bill with tip was $ 80. I will say that the service was great, but I’d much rather go to Nonas than Gleasons for pizza. The kicker was happened to be the little mouse that ran under our table to the other side of the restaurant, back to ours and then to the kitchen. I was glad that I didn’t see the little guy before our meal or we would have walked out. If we return in the future, I presume it will only be for beverages.

(a 2 star rating means average taking price into consideration.) Not much to say about this place. The food is decent, the price does not reflect the food. Seems over-priced.

This is the first pulled chicken sandwich that I have purchased that is as good as what I can make on my own. Will definitely give a second shot.

Do not order the Chicago deep dish. It’s pretty difficult to mess up pizza, I mean who doesn’t love cheese and meat, but Gleason’s managed to do it! Can’t handle that we paid $ 20 for that atrocity. Salt in the wound: our beer was flatter than the great plains! When we let them know, they just offered to pour us the same one but a fresh one instead of seeing if there was anything else we wanted. In the end, we left food on the table and beer in our glass which is never how you want to leave a restaurant. Onto the next one…

They got beer, great flatbread pizzas and italian dishes but for heaven’s sake don’t call it a Pizzeria. Nice ambiance and a really good kitchen. Cocktails? Yes they shake em. Microbrews, yes a few. Staff are all really nice people.

Enjoyed our lunch at Gleason’s on a not-busy Friday afternoon. Friendly service. Simple décor. Chose two entrees of Raspberry Salad Special and a Sliced Steak Sandwich with Melted Muenster Cheese on Ciabatta Bread with House Salad Side. Tasty and fresh. Not usually a dessert person, but also tried the Pistachio Cake and an Espresso Brownie with Cinnamon Ice-cream. See pics. Did not sample this visit, but good selection of craft brewskies on draught. Pizza, prepared every which way, is the main theme. Price for lunch is few dollars more than, say, Quiet Man around the corner: $ 66 including tax and tip with one house Manhattan, well made with Rye. Served in a Champagne Cocktail glass. Huh? Tips: * Happy Hour at the bar only until 7 pm, Mon-Fri * Metered street parking is available but tight, so parked in the metered(before 6 pm) municipal lot around the corner.

Went with 2 friends for dinner. I ordered the chicken parma and was disapointed. Did not taste freshly made but rather micro over. Bun was not toasted. And like the rest of the menu greatly overpriced. My friend ordered a pizza, the $ 1814″ was bland and overpriced. The décor was strip mall variety. You can do much better in any other pizza joints. The only advantage here is that you can get drinks and they have a fair beer selections. But to eat go eleswhere

Still one of my favorite local spots. They seemed to have changed the flatbread dough for a bit, but it’s now back on track, and I’ve grown to love the cocktails as well.

Great pizza! Crust is so different from the average pizza. It’s light and pleasantly chewy — I could eat it with no topping! Bartenders are pleasant and knowledgable. Nice place for a few drinks without a blaring TV and a casual bite to eat.

My first time ever going. Had driven past it many times but never really noticed it! Ambiance was both cool & modern. Lighting was perfect, very warm. Staff was helpful and knowledgable. Great selection of craft beers & foreign beers. Appetizers Eggplant parm was amazing! Garlic cheesy bread was yummy! Mixed meat plate was delish! Pizzas We had the classic margarita. The crust was delicious nice and perfectly crusty. I have an oral fixation so I like crispy pizza! Sauce tastes FRESH and not to acidic or greasy/oily — -hate that btw. I only wish they’d chop the basil up and sprinkle it on the pizza rather than put one leaf on each slice kill me(I love basil) The bacon mushroom was a bit much. Little TOOMUCH bacon. I know, I know… how could that be possible??? Waaaa too much bacon, yea I’m a cry baby but it was still delicious. Hey I chomped it up so I should just shut up. Beer I had a GINGERBEER from a can the can was a bigger can and I LOVETHATGINGERBEER! *My buddies were very happy with their beers and they’re kinda beer snobs.* Mixed drinks Staff recommended a watermelon martini but I observed other people at other tables mixed drinks, they looked a bit small for $ 10…just saying Overall. Thumbs up! Like Arnold said… I’LLBEBOCK

Compared to the local pizza store that I went for lunch today, Gleason’s had the classy kind of pizzas — toppings were more creative(including octopus and guacamole) and a bit pricy for the size. The three of us ordered two pizza — the four cheese and margherita. They were both good — with crispy, thin crusts. I really liked the four cheese pizza; the cheese was so flavorful and the saltiness went well with the plain crusts! On the other hand, I wasn’t a fan of the live music — I think the space is too small for a live show, and the show was so loud that we couldn’t have a regular conversation.

Stopped in for a workday lunch, and knew in advance this was a flatbread pizza kinda place, but was pleasantly surprised to find a more extensive menu, including pastas, paninis, and more. I ended up eating a terrific sandwich = ‘Ralph Kramden’ pork loin, mustard, caramelized apples, fontina $ 14. Washed it down with a local dark beer and left happy and full. It was quiet and the bartender was my server even though I sat at one of the two window seats… Will be back for sure.

The food here is its redeeming feature. The flatbread(pizzas) are some of the best I have EVER had in New York The beer selection is super exciting The drinks are all steller(mixed drinks and all). So why only 3 stars? SERVICE and furniture The waiter: 1. Forgot to announce the specials 2. Seemed incapable of recommending anything 3. Generally confused 4. Had a hard time remembering our orders oh and seriously… I had more comfortable chairs and furniture(and better spatial planning) at summer camps than here.

Eating at Gleason’s made me have a major revelation in my life. I need to settle down with an amazing girl who loves pizza. I don’t want a girl obsessed with the gym, I need a girl who is obsessed with pizza. We can grow old and overweight happily together. In pizza we trust, and Gleason’s is great.

GREAT addition to the downtown Peekskill area. Cool atmosphere, good service, great prices, fun drink options and fabulous food! We were here for NYE and the 4 of us enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. There was a lot of action and great people-watching in this intimate restaurant! We ordered the meatball appetizer which was just good old fashioned grandma style meatballs in a very tasty marinara sauce. So good. A couple of us ordered the flatbreads(one with sausage and broccoli rabe) and I ordered the meatball Panini that also came with tomato basil soup. Both were amazing. The Panini was buttered and grilled perfectly. The cheese was melted in and the meatballs were cut to the perfect size so you could bit into the sandwich without making a total mess. It was scrumptious! We ordered the gelato trio for dessert which was almond, coconut and biscoff flavors… all were very good. Like I said in the beginning, this is a great addition to the Peekskill scene – great food and great prices. You really can’t go wrong! I can’t wait to return!
