So I guess the address needs updating then? I’ve only been to the now-gone Yorktown location and I know that people are really sentimental about Sunshine so I’m not going to slam it. But it’s really not that good. It’s mediocre red sauce Italian old school family restaurant food. It is what it is. It probably did them some good to move to a new location because the old place was a little run down and dated. Vinyl chairs, red checker vinyl tablecloths, those little fake wood salad bowls. I liked their meatballs and their baked ziti. I won’t be going out of my way to drive to Lincolndale but if I’m in the neighborhood I’ll be sure to stop in and check it out. I’m sure it’s still a friendly place, and I’ll know what I’m getting from the kitchen.

As a follow-up to the previous review, which I agree with wholeheartedly, I just want to add that most of the same staff is at the new location. It really is beautiful… and you don’t find nicer people than Joe and Joe, Jr.

So happy they re-opened! Sunshine pizza was a part of my life for a long time. I grew up in Yorktown and it was a family tradition to go to Sunshine every Friday night. It was what our family did and many other families. The waitstaff there came to know my family on a first name basis and essentially watched me and my siblings grow up. I was devastated when I found out they were closing. My parents called me in extreme excitement last Summer when they found out Sunshine had re-opened in Lincolndale. We don’t go every week but it has become a monthly tradition. The food is still amazing. I think they make the best chicken marsala I’ve ever had. Everyone there is extremely nice and accommodating. Its great to go to with family or on a date. I highly recommend this place. YAYYY!

First, Sunshine has reopened and is no longer on Route 202 in Peekskill but is now in Lincolndale. Same owners, Same great food. The new address is 152 Route 202 Lincolndale. Its next to the Lincolndale post office. The owners bought the old bar and completely redid it as a nice restaurant. It’s nicer than their old location and the food is just as great. PH.914−245−5100
