Went with my wife and daughter for dinner last night. Very nice atmosphere, service staff was very friendly. Started with a glass of the Quiet Man Whiskey. It was very good. Then came the meal. Not so good. My daughter had Mums Stroganoff, she said it had no taste and sent it back to the kitchen. My wife had the«hot wings», which were mildly hot, and dry. I had the pork cutlets which was very salty and did not carry much taste. I did like the St. Lawrence lager. Next time I go here, I will drink and maybe have an appetizer, I do not think I will ever go back here for dinner.

Went to dinner with my girlfriend and when she comes to NY from out of state we usually come to Quiet Man so I can have my Guiness and she can have her Jameson. We’ve been there quite frequently and this is the first time we’ve come across the bouncer Dan. Dan said that the owner wouldn’t accept out of state licenses even when presented with a credit card with matching ID. Then he asked for another form of ID with an address. Who carries two forms of government issued identification with an address? It is unbelievably ridiculous to have requested such a thing, especially after giving him the names of three of the bartenders and she told him exactly what was on the bathroom wall. If you have a significant other from out of statre or you’re from out of state I strongly recommend you don’t make a stop at this bar.

Consistently great food and service. Nice atmosphere. We go there a lot. They have a dining area inside and outside as well as a bar. Nice place to go.

Went to eat dinner before Jazz Concert nearby. Had a group of 4, fish and chips were amazing and bangers and mash was the best we had ever had before. Along with that they had a great burger. Would definitely recommend this location if you are looking for a bite to eat before going to the theatre.

We ate here with friends of ours who live in Peekskill. The food is really good. The service is good and the atmosphere is pleasant. I ordered the sampler platter and it was excellent! I recommend it! The portions are big. It’s a mix between pub food and modern American food.

The food here used to be good! I came in maybe on an off day, but the whole experience was terrible. Ordered fish and chips. I asked the bartender for a lemon. Apparently the bartender was new because he didn’t know where any of the fruit was, then after 5 minutes found a lemon and cut it. Just a strange vibe. Very disappointing

Love everything about this place. Mac and cheese is amazing. Fish and chips are delish. My personal favorite is the Shepherd’s Pie. Irish nachos and the beef stroganoff is good as well. Love the service. It’s a place I love to go back to.

Home made everything, friendly staff, clean bathrooms, Americana sound-track. No dishwasher needed here — We cleaned our plates.

I’ve now been here twice the first time my wife had corned beef sandwich which was only so-so corn beef was sliced on the thick side and was a little fatty, more fat than she really would eat so I wound up bringing home and eating it the next day, I had the beef stroganoff and I thought it was okay. The second time we went my wife had the fish and chips and both were very greasy and the beef stroganoff the second time for some reason had tons of oregano in it. I didn’t know you put oregano in beef stroganoff and the reason I know its oregano is because I can’t stand oregano just the smell makes me nauseous. Can’t say the service was that good either time. the second time we went it was empty and had to wait 10min for someone to come over. It’s disappointing because the place close to where I live and I really like a good Irish pub.

Thank you Quiet Man for an amazing dinner! My Friends have been raving about this place so I finally Tried it and was I happy! Got the spicy pork chops and it was unbelievable! Also the fish and chips are amazing! Food took 20 plus minutes to serve but regardless the food was worth the wait. Will be going here for a second third and fourth time!

Great menu and casual dining. I love the Guinness on tap and the tulip glasses. It’s great to have an attentive owner who comes around and talks to the guests. The menu was extensive and had something for everyone. My wife wasn’t as enthusiastic about the food, but enjoyed the pub atmosphere. Lucky for them, I am writing the review. I really liked the place and think that anyone looking for a good, local pub with great food can go here. They also have options for those who want more than traditional pub items. Definitely a winner for the neighborhood.

I come here for one reason: Guinness. I never cared for it before this place opened, and now it’s the only thing I’d drink if given the choice. I didn’t even realize how good the Quiet Man’s Guinness is until I started ordering it at other places, and had mostly terrible pints of varying consistencies with little to no head. These guys have it down to a science, a perfect pour, every time. Aside from that, the staff, particularly the bartenders and management, are great.

This was our second time attempting QM. On our first attempt QM was packed so an owner tried to sit us directly in the way of the servers. We declined the table and left for one of the other million fabulous Peekskill eateries. This time, food was OK. Appetizers sub-par. Entrée’s were better. I had fish & chips and hubby had the ruben. Service was poor. Took 10mins for waitress to bring us Guinnesses. Also, we were seated right by the kitchen and the place was empty. Hubster and I had to wait to speak in between clanking utensils and flatware being put away. I think they have the newer younger staff on during the day Sat. An owner was there but seemed to be in his own world. There was rap music playing in the background and fruit flies hovering. Little strange. Didn’t get the«authentic Irish experience» we were hoping for. There are just too many spectacular restaurants in Peekskill for us to waste on this place. Super Disappointing :( PS– upon entering you have to navigate through the very busy bar. I personally wouldn’t take kids through but I’ve definitely seen them in there– big surprise, I know.

The food was great when this place first opened but it has gone downhill over the last year. I don’t know if they changed chefs but the last two times I’ve been here the food was just ok. Average pub food at best. One staple that my party of 4 always gets is the cheddar ale toast. Last time we got it there wasn’t any bacon on it and when I told the waitress she got very defensive and kind of nasty saying«that’s how it comes.» She didnt even look at it. The next thing were the wings which were definitely frozen and tasted funny. They had that stale burnt flavor that frozen wings get. The corned beef sandwich was good except there was hardly any corned beef on it. It was mostly bread. The fish and chips were soggy and lacked flavor. The Cesar salad was horrible. I asked the waitress for light dressing and it was still swimming in it. When I told her there was too much dressing she said we should order it in the side next time. That was unbelievable to me. This is two visits in a row that the same waitress has been nasty. This makes two times in a row now that the food has been ok and the service has been horrible. This place has gone from a favorite spot to one I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

First of all, I did not eat here… Hubby and I came here for the Art On The Vine Paint n Sip event last night for our anniversary bc it seemed like something fun and different.(I had 2 glasses of wine, hubby had 2 beers.) The painting class was so much fun. It doesn’t matter what skill level you are, the instructor does a step by step demo of the painting with you.(Both of us have never painted before and quite honestly our paintings are what I’d call a Monet… The picture looks better far away than up close! lol). I plan to come back and try the food one of these days.

Returned for a birthday dinner. Enjoyed the Pork Sliders(outstanding), Field Greens Salad, Fish & Chips, American Cheese Grilled Burger, and Chicken Wrap. Pluses: * Choice of about 10 brewskies on tap. Large Harpoon IPA was $ 6. * Pork sliders * Open Mondays when some other places are closed. Edit: Now closed on Monday Negatives: * Booths are cramped and seating is uncomfortable * French Fries are sub-quality. Tip: Substitute the house side salad instead of tasteless fries for $ 2 more.

Went here for a friends 21st bday. Had the french onion soup and it was pretty damn tasty! Friends seemed to all enjoy their food but overall it looked like most of it that came out was ‘diner’ quality. Cheeses on sandwiches was more congealed looking, not freshly melted, wings were average, basted in sauce. Had a few more drinks at the bar afterwards and one thing this place needs to work on is training for the bar staff. I think they are way too young and don’t have enough knowledge of drink making and liquor. It really is a science and skill people! I asked for a Stoli on the rocks with lime. I received a lemon… Um huh? I asked the bartender to make the birthday girl a ‘fruity, girly shot.’ He comes back with something warm and coffee flavored. Coffee may but girly but dude, did you miss me emphasizing FRUITY?! We had some sort of Washington Apple shot(never heard of it before actually) and I swear what we ended up downing was nothing more than Apple Schnapps and lime juice. I could barely taste the alc. — Correction, I just looked up the shot and its supposed to be apple schnapps like I guessed but also cranberry juice and Crown Royal. There is NOWAY there was whiskey in that shot whatsoever, bc I don’t mesh well with it & can taste even the tiniest trace amounts. So we basically payed 50 $ for 8 shots of apple liqueur. Great. I’m not amped to return here. I would to give it another try if someone wanted to go, but I’m not putting it on my to-do list anytime soon

Just finished a terrific lunch! The new three grain veggie burger with sundried tomato pesto and some nice crisp fries, washed down with a half-pint of Guiness. My wife had the heirloom tomato salad with Irish blue cheese and loved it
