The customer service, the menu, the quality of food — 5 stars across the board! I’ve been coming to this bakery for coffee 4 to 5 times a week since I recently discovered this place on Unilocal. They serve the smoothest café con leche in town and the pastelitos are epic!

I must say being that my favorite breakfast is croquettas and café con leche this bakery definitely has the best. The combination of amazing customer service with delicious Cuban pastries is the exact blend that I was looking for. I will return and bring my friends and family.

Very clean bakery. Friendly staff. Some tables available to sit and eat. Good selection of sweet treats. Visited for the first time and ordered some goodies to take home just to try. They did not disappoint. Will surely return with the family.

Cute little bakery! I went there based on the previous reviews about nutella pastry but didn’t see any. I got some empanadas and cortadito instead and it was delicious. I sure hope next time I go I get to try out their nutella pastry. Also, excellent customer service. The lady who took my order was sweet.

Maybe it’s the Saturday crew that sucks. We wanted to get the kids a sweet treat after leaving Laspadas a few doors down. It went like this: We walked in and one employee was talking to a couple on their way out the door. The other one was sitting down behind the counter in the corner on a laptop, she looked up, I smiled at her and said hello, she didn’t respond. she looked at my toddlers, rolled her eyes, I mean like seriously rolled her eyes like in highschool, put her laptop down, walked to the counter, still didn’t greet us, still looking nasty faced, and then the other employee started talking to her telling her that she would take care of us. The whole time I am looking at them, neither one of them greeted us, no other customers because the one couple left, they just kept talking to each other while I watched waiting to be helped. I hate to be an interruption so never mind, I wanted a cupcake and you guys don’t have any anyway. I was going to make a purchase just because I’m here, but no, not with your sour face. I will go to Vecky’s up the block next time or even Publix. Bye Felicia and happy easter.

I was so happy to hear EBF opened up in Pines. They have the absolutely best pastelitos de Guayaba. I usually go with the pan con tortilla. Super clean and the owners are super friendly. It’s a Saturday morning staple for me now and I hope that continues for years to come.

2 star for service. A very nice man greeted me and told for being my first time I got a free pastry. That’s about it… He asked a woman there to help me and she had no desire. The Cortadito she prepared tasted awful. I bought papa rellanas to go, that along with the free guava pastry I had to throw away when I got home.

This bakery is kicking ass in Pines and deserves every star! I have walked into so many cuban bakeries where the staff’s demeanor is super depressing and even the thought of interacting with any customer would be dampening their day. Not here! The owner is fun and extremely sweet and loves his store. The bakery itself is very welcoming and CLEAN. I have zero fears or need to question the bakery’s cleanliness-Which is rare in South Florida… They have some pretty unique deserts that differentiates them from everyone else. Every time I visited there seems to be a new recipe out on display and they always switch it up. I heard stories how Vicky bakery’s general manager sneaks in here from time to time to copy and replicate their cakes… and has been caught. Goes to show you what the major competitors think of this bakery! ;)

Found this place on Unilocal because I was in an unfamiliar area and wanted breakfast. I love croquettes and saw a review that they were delish so I was sold! I got cheese croquettes(so yummy and was everything that I expected) I also got a spinach Empanada which was equally as delicious. Everything was fresh and staff was very friendly! If I’m ever back over there again I will definitely go back!

Nutella pastries!!! That is all that needs to be said. I had seen this bakery in one of the local magazines that gets delivered to my home and decided to give them a shot. Everyone who works at the bakery is so sweet! They saw me staring at the pastries in the case with a blank stare when a lady came over and said, «Tenemos de Nutella». She knew what I was about and went straight to business, I like that! A box of pastries and an orange juice later, I have pastelitos with Nutella, cream cheese, a cookie and beef empanadas. The pastry with Nutella was soft and flaky, not the dry flaky kind that other bakeries leave out for days but the good kind of flaky. The crust for the beef empanada was also soft, something that I really was not expecting. Many bakeries in Miami will leave pastries out far too long, giving you that hard, crunchy feel with little to no flavor. At EBF, I could easily bite through all of my pastries and empanadas as if they were freshly made. So glad they opened up a good bakery near my home!

So a new Cuban bakery opened up(in the Sedanos Plaza no less) and I was so excited. We were surprised to see another bakery open on this street since there already is an excellent one in the next Plaza. I walked in and was greeted in English while other customers were greeted in Spanish, this pissed me off because one, they racial profiled me as a cracker and although I didn’t realize this before, I had never ordered pastelitos in English, it was awkward for me to try and translate into English. Another thing amazed me is they don’t sell tamales, when I ordered one, she gave me a half rude /confused look on her face as if I had asked her to solve a complex math problem on the spot. This prompted me to ask«is that you don’t know what a Cuban tamale is /have you actually not heard of one. Unrelated to my visit I Googled the best Cuban bakeries in Miami and was shocked to find that it’s a second location for a more famous original location that is usually listed at the top. This location might be the«gringo» version? It’s not good the pastelitos were sub standard, the croquettas tasted awful, I would never go back.

This little place is amazing! It is still quite new, but has been filling up quite a bit on Sundays –though not as long of a wait as other nearby locations. I can guarantee that it won’t stay this quiet for long! Every experience has been incredibly hospitable. They recognize us every time we come back! It is lovely to be treated with familiarity in a world where business just want to crank the customers through the line and out the door! As for the food… Mmmmm! We usually grab the scrambled egg breakfast, with ham mixed in. Pair that with café con leche and cuban bread and you really have a good breakfast! The interior is adorable and clean and the pastries are as beautiful as décor. Walk into this establishment and you will be hooked.

The experience here has proven to be better than the alternatives in Pembroke Pines. Price: Typical, what you should EXPECT from any cuban bakery. Unlike the $ 2.00 colada I was charged at Romero’s. Taste: While I’ve only had the guava y crema cheese pastelito, it’s enough to tell me that their pastries are better than vicky’s/vecky’s. You can tell by the filo dough which has a light and flaky exterior that is rounded out with a chewy interior layer. There is practically no wait and the service has always been friendly thanks to the cute abuelitas who make your media colada sin acucar. ACUCAR!

Where do I begin? I guess I should start by saying there’s been a lack of Cuban bakeries in Broward county for years but thankfully we have EBF now :). It’s small, modern & very clean in the shopping plaza where Sedanos is. We ordered 4 sandwiches which were made to order fresh so if there’s something you want done a certain way just ask because they were so happy to make our sandwiches just as we liked. We ordered croquettas(some of the best I’ve EVERHAD!) Pastelitos(oh my god soooooo freaking good) empanadas we got a chicken and a beef one. The beef was mine and it was amazing! Keep in mind I ordered at end of day and to go so when I got home it was not that warm but man was this thing great! I’m in love. Can you imagine when it’s actually hot?! Anyways, moving along to the sweets. We basically ordered a bunch and shared them with the family. As a bad Cuban I don’t know what the desserts are called but I’ll say they’re amazing. As for the croquettas & Pastelitos they are the real deal! Also customer service is friendly and helpful, the owners are great! Will come back when in the area. They’ve only been open for about a month and I can see they are doing awesome already! Keep it up guys and thanks for coming to Broward!

Came in after hearing about this bakery for a few weeks and was very pleasantly surprised! It is a family owned bakery and fairly new, but I loved how attentive and nice the family was. The food is spectacular! The ham croquetas are tasty and just the way I like them. The empanadas were fresh out of the oven and normally I would choose a beef one, but I went with a fried chicken empanada and was pleasantly surprised. Absolutely everything tasted fresh but these were perfectly seasoned and to die for. The papa rellena is always my test of a bakery. If theyre good– you KNOW the bakery is good. And not only were they good– they were the best I have ever had! This place deserves recognition for their papa rellena recipe. The guayaba pastel was also very good and a good ending to my experience here. The location is not the best in Pines because the shopping center is way too easy to overlook, but if you find yourself in the area or wish to have catering from a bakery, I highly recommend El Brazo Fuerte bakery!
