This place is great. The owner and staff are incredibly nice! You are allowed to try as many flavor which shows that they care about customer satisfaction. I went to the gelato place next to the Regal theater a while ago and was told you couldn’t get a sample because«there are no samples in Italy.» Uh, what? But anyway, I tried several here at Palato and ended up getting the almond, which I loved. I don’t think this place is expensive. It is more or less on par with prices at other gelato places and the portions might be a little bit bigger. You can’t really go wrong with coming here. Pro tip: come on Cinemark’s Discount Tuesday so it doesn’t really feel like you spent any money ;)

My go-to for gelato panini! Yes, you heard correctly. GELATOPANINI. So what’s in a gelato panini? You start off with a roll of Hawaiian bread. Then, they put in a scoop of the gelato of your choice. Afterwards, they slather some saucy goodness to go with your gelato — Nutella or strawberry sauce. Finally, then seal the stuffed roll in a special panini press and BOOM, you got yourself THE gelato panini! The selection of gelato here is pretty good, and I like how they’re made fresh from scratch. Yes, so do expect the pineapple gelato from last week to be different from the pineapple gelato this week just because the batch of pineapples may vary(i.e. one batch may be sweeter than the other). But I never had a flavor here that I didn’t like. Their French macarons are a bit pricey but they are bigger than most and they’re really pretty. Such vibrant colors and some are even airbrushed with metallic edible paint so some macarons appear sparkly(oh so glamorous). They’re nice and chewy, and for the most part, the cookie part of the macaron is the perfect density(not too hard and not hallow). This is one of my favorite dessert places, but they’re not only selling dessert nowadays. They recently added Italian panini on the menu! So if you need a quick bite, they have paninis that you can have before you dive into dessert. Enjoy!

This place is super good! I love gelato and I love the non dairy gelato/sorbet. So naturally the blackberry and passion fruit is the best! This is my go to place for gelato! The staff is friendly in owner is so personable. My only thing is I would love their avocado gelato once more or them to try green tea gelato! I would but the whole batch! I would also like to try some other non dairy favors as well. I love the fact that this place is always trying new flavors. I wish I lived closer is be there everyday!

I was craving some gelato while visiting Fort Lauderdale and while doing a search on Unilocal Palato was the lucky winner after reading some reviews. They had some pretty authentic Italian flavors. Even the names of them were all in Italian. They didn’t disappoint when I asked to try a few of them. I ended up getting Stracciatella. Yummy! I’ll be coming back here each time I visit Fort Lauderdale.

Great gelato and great service, love the place. A lot of variety, pistachio and coconut are probably the best flavors. The owner is a very nice guy and the people who work there are very nice as well.

Amazing gelato, and wonderful service. They are very willing to offer wonderful little spoonfuls of sample flavors to help you decide! And yes, you will need help deciding because there are so many irresistible flavors. Don’t leave with out trying a macaroon they are displayed like the pretty little yummy pieces of heaven that they are.

Palato is a hidden gem! We stopped in after lunch to have some macarons and espresso while the kids had some gelato. I wasn’t expecting much since the store was completely empty on a Saturday afternoon. My husband ordered the espresso and I, the latte. Both were great — my latte was actually quite strong! The gelato flavors were numerous so it was hard to pick a few but we went with gianduja(like Nutella), chocolate, biscotti and tiramisu. All the flavors were delicious, creamy and sweet but not overly so. But for me, the biggest surprise was how good the macarons were! I got a box of 6 flavors — coconut, hazelnut, rose, mango passion, grand mariner and strawberry. All were yummy — I seriously could go into detail for each flavor but you should just go and try them out for yourself. Really. Go. Now. Stop reading this and just go!

We were in the mood for something sweet and cold. We stopped by another place close by(no names mentioned) but were disappointed by their service and product. We searched again on Unilocal and found Palato. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Joel with a big smile and an offer to try any flavor we wanted. We tried the dark chocolate, hazelnut, pistachio, and coconut. They were all exceptional! By far the best gelato I’ve had and that includes some that I had in Italy !!

So glad we stumbled upon this place on our way to Blue Ginger. It was a tough choice, but we went with ‘Italian Cookie’ gelato and snagged six macaroons(blueberry, grand marnier, lavender, cookies and cream, hazelnut, and caramel) for about 20 bucks. The gelato was delicious and a fine portion for the price. The macaroons were small and we worried six wouldn’t be enough. But, they were so rich in flavor we were good with splitting them all in halves. Cookies & Cream was okay, and the other five selections were great. Grand marnier was mind blowing. The shop has a great décor, friendly family owned business vibe, and presents as very clean. Definitely recommend a stop here, especially if you’re headed to the movies anyway. Skip cold stones.

It’s bright, it’s looks new and clean and it has very nice staff. The gelato is great and I loved my macaroon! What more is there to say. Other than I should have purchased some macaroons to come home with me.

I am not the biggest gelato fan, but after coming here I am a total convert. I got to try a few different flavors and I liked every one that I tried. I was kind of tired of the same old frozen yogurt in the area so this was a breath of fresh air. Sadly I didn’t get to try any of the other stuff like macaroons and smoothies. The inside is really nice and kept super clean. It is a littler more pricier than your everyday yogurt shop, but it is totally worth it.

The gelato is good, it is not as good as other gelato around. BUT the service is superb. The owners and staff are so friendly, which makes your experience an A+. They let you try everything before you make a decision, unlike other places. Cough, cough, I’m talking to you Vaniglia & Cioccolato. One sample is simply not enough. Now, on to the Macaroons. Speaking from experience, making macaroons is extremely difficult. They break and you have to make sure you do everything right. I tried the chocolate(from Venezuela) and it was great, the chocolate flavor was delicious. I would only recommend that they not put them in a refrigerator, they are kind of cold when you bite them and the filling gets harder. Overall, very good experience, I will be back.

This is not the quality of Vaniglia y Cioccolato next to Regal. The pistachio was not as rich and didn’t have that kick with flavor in every bite. The location is good and they offer different items like macaroons and chocolate but portions are small and prices are high. Overall I wasn’t impressed with this place. Also, I wonder why so many of the people who reviewed Palato only have one review?

Don’t bother. We bought four(two smalls two large) and it came out to $ 25!!! Crazy! The place was empty only the boyfriend and I in there on a Sunday afternoon… Not a good sign! I had the roasted almond it was«okay». We also ordered coconut, cookies and cream, pistachio and chocolate all of them were simply ok. You’re better off trying a different place for these prices. The location in itself must be haunted because it has been so many different things already they all go out of business.

I’ve only tried the macarons here so I can’t attest for the gelato or anything else they offer, which I’m sure is great. Though I’m not as invested in the recent macaron craze as some others may be, sometimes I do cave and end up craving those dang little morsels. I was therefore delighted to hear about Palato’s fairly new opening and even more so to hear that they also served fresh macarons(NOT to be confused with macaroons). The place was completely empty when I walked in apart from the single worker behind the counter. As soon as I glanced at the display case, however, I was ecstatic to see that they offered a huge variety of macaron flavors instead of just the four or five flavors that some other places offer. They have flavors such as passionfruit, rose, orange blossom, raspberry, etc. but my favorites were definitely the chocolate pear and the salted butter caramel. On the other hand, while the macarons I had were good, they were inconsistent in execution. Some were cracked, lopsided, too chewy, or too soft. They were also very pricey at $ 2.50 each from what I remember. At that price, I’d expect the macarons to be either a bit larger in size or better in quality. However, I still give Palato four stars for convenience(close to my house!) and variety(many flavors to choose from!). Too pricey to come back that often, but when I get the hankering for macarons, Palato is probably my best bet for satiating that craving.

I don’t know how many times I’ve driven past this place. Until one night my friend and I got the craving for something sweet after dinner and this happened to be the closest place near by. First of all, it’s not just a gelato shop, they sell a variety of macaroons, fancy chocolates, Popsicles, they make smoothies and shakes, and the list goes on. My friend and I played it safe and got gelato and but eventually gave in and bought one macaroon each($ 2.50 if I remember correctly). They literally have so many flavors to choose from, fruity to chocolately, it’s amazing. It’s probably a good and bad thing that this shop is right around the corner from my house, it’s so close that it’s easy to get to, but I’ll prob get fat from being there all the time haha.

I met up with my friend with an impossible task: Find a place open on a Saturday night in Pembroke Pines(that sold ice cream). I was shocked enough to find a place that wasn’t a generic frozen yogurt franchise, let alone finding a completely legit Argentinean gelato shop. I mean seriously, this place was insane. The flavors that they had ran the gamut from Italian to tropical fruit(I mean seriously, who else in Davie would sell Mamey?). The gelato was all excellent. But the most special treat, hands down, was the Gelato Panini. I mean hot damn, this thing makes fried ice cream look unimaginative. You get 2 flavors of gelato and a topping sauce(I chose nutella) which are then pressed together into a layer of batter. It’s something that I have found to be truly special in the world, and I hope to see more of in the future. I wish I could go here everyday, but that’s not quite realistic for someone living in downtown Miami, unfortunately.
