Had always ordered my pizzas from this place and recently found out the management changed. I ordered a calzone from here the other day and it was a blob of ricotta soup. I couldnt even cut the thing because it just poured out. No flavor. No garlic. Just black cracked pepper on top. What? No parmesan. Nothing. Ricotta blob. I called a few days later(sorry i work and im busy lately at night with family in the hospital so i didnt call right away) the manager gets on the phone and TELLSME «I have no taste» and how she sells calzones all day and i dont know what im talking about. Im cuban. My husband is italian. I know this is crap. She hangs up on me. I call back and asked if that was just the manager i spoke with and the guy who answered the phone tells me «F*** you». Wow. I ordered a calzone with ham and spinach. Not a crap blob soup with a side of nasty tude. You can keep your nastiness. My money is too good for you. Ciao Felicia.

highly overrated & overpriced, small portions. Worst part of experience was the old lady’s condescending attitude.

This place could benefit from a cosmetic make over. Very dated but clean. They also don’t have a changing table in the restroom which is surprising for this family/community style restaurant. That said, these are the only constructive suggestions that I will make. The pizza was GREAT, i ordered their grandma’s pizza which is pretty much a margarita pizza. It was hot, fresh, and delicious. They also have a full bar and a glass of wine is only $ 5 bucks. My waitress was very nice, this location is good because its close to my home and lots of shopping plazas. I will definitely be back with my family and friends!

This used to be one of the best pizza places in town. Went there last night and the antipasto salad was great, the rest of the meal was so so. Besides that the service was absolutely terrible. i was halfway done with my meal before the rest of my parties food came out and when asked about their food the server had attitude. It was nice at one time but won’t be returning.

Honestly the best pizza and garlic knots in town. I’m glad they aren’t too close to my house or I’d be 400lbs! Great food and quick and personal service from a very professional staff.

I have been visiting this restaurant for years. It has a great, old world, family run atmosphere. I suggest the pizza with pepperoni, extra cheese, and meatballs. Johnny’s meatballs are the best! Homemade tiramisu is the perfect end to a meal alongside a hand crafted cappuccino. What’s not to love?

What can I say excellent Grandma Pizza a thick square slice pizza, with chunky tomatoes, mozerella, & basil, the best garlic knots are Knotty(5 stars) & must be tried. I have had various dinners & they are ok, NO on shrimp scampi, AMX not accepted, this location in East Miramar /Pembroke delivers, take out or dine in. Parking is small but adequate.

Good family Italian Restaurant with some very good dishes. Ask for Arthur to be your waiter. He seems to have a culinary background. Have the Garlic Knots with your meal.

My be liked the garlic knots I’ve had better I’m sorry I would’ve saved on the carbs and the extra bit of cash the wine in not sure if I got hooked up Obviously no complaints the pizza was huge I prefer crispy pizza but maybe that’s my bad but it was a nice first time they weren’t busy and the restaurant is huge perfect for big parties I give two thumbs up

Absolutely phenomenal! Been there many times, and we love the food and staff so much that we just had a pizza party for our son there. The grandma’s pizza is definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. I’m usually not a fan of Sicilian, but I’m putting it I my will that I want a Grandma’s pizza buried with me. The garlic knots are like an Italian American heroin. You eat one or two, and then you start getting the shakes because you want more! The staff is exceptional, they’ve always been fast, attentive, and fun without being too overbearing. If you don’t try this place, you really are depriving yourself of one of South Florida’s best dining experiences.

This place was just okay. Our server was quite entertaining however. We ordered the fried mozzarella as an appetizer… Nothing great. We shared the lobster ravioli and baked ziti with chicken which was just ordinary. I don’t really see anything great about this place. It just seems like a run down Italian joint that needs to be updated and probably new management. Once the place was closing everyone who worked there was drinking beer except our water who was still making sure we were good and keeping us entertained. Don’t think I’ll be back here.

We have been scouring the area for a good pizza place since we moved in. Finally we decided to try Umberto’s and we were disappointed we hadn’t tried it sooner! Their pizza is on point every time we order it. Their Sicilian is hands down the best I’ve ever had. Calzones are amazing too! Prices are reasonable, food is great, delivery is on time… definitely worth a try if you haven’t had it already.

Nikolas was great. Very attentive. Excellent service! The food was phenomenal. We had the meatball parmigiana and the seafood feast in spicy red sauce. It was all simply delicious. Wish we had visited this place ten years ago when it was first recommended to us. We will definitely be back. Prices are reasonable and portion sizes are generous.

My husband and I are from New York and Boston. It’s hard for us to find pizza we like down here! We have recently moved to the Cooper City area, and had to find our new go-to pizza place. We have gotten takeout from Umberto’s twice so far, and we love it. And, they are super friendly :) We haven’t ventured beyond our ‘half cheese, half mushroom’ usual yet. We’re pretty set in our ways, but might explore the menu more soon.

I came to Umbertos one other time before this most recent visit — and that was after a Pembroke Pines Optimist game back in 1986(no, seriously). Since then, they have done nothing to update, modernize or change. This pklace is a time xcapsuel — in the good, and bed, sense. Our waiter forgot about us entirely and it took forever to order our entrees. They made up for this by buying a round of drinks for the table — nice gesture. Other than the fact that i was HNAGRY by the time the food came, the food itself was standard fare. Not bad, but not anything i would go out of my way to come back to either. My brother lives close by so there is a chance that i might return, but its not a place id make it a point to return to.

Great pizza and loved their homemade desserts! Highly recommend the Tiramisu! This place has been here for 40 years and still going strong. Their staff is very pleasant and attentive. They make you feel like youre at a traditional family dinner. Wish they could have fountain drinks instead of bottles for $ 2.25. Overall will keep on coming for being a great family owned italian restuarant!

It was my first time at umbertos and I was highly impressed! I was served not only by a great server but also by the owner! I had a combo of the lasagna and chicken parm! The food was delicious and the service was impressive! It really is like having dinner in an Italian home! This place is a must go to!!!

Diamond in the rough! It’s a true original italian mom and pop LITERALLYLOL! When you walk in it looks old and outdated. However the food was incredible and the service was great. For starters we ordered the meatballs — highly recommend with garlic knots We ordered from the early bird dinner special so our orders came with soup or salad. Next time I will go for salad, the soup was salty and too busy. Chicken parm was perfectly breaded, good size and so yummy. It had the right amount of red sauce. The shrimp scampi had way too much garlic for my taste but the taste was spectacular with a good amount of shrimps on the plate Overall, Bön appetite!

Now this is pizza done right! I’ve been coming here for well over 10 years now and they are always, always consistent. Their regular round pies are one of my favorite in all of Florida… Throw some sausage on their and fuhgettaboutit! Their Sicilians are to die for, whether you prefer a thinner one like their grandmas Sicilian or you prefer the traditional Sicilian, both are outrageously delicious! The typical apps like fried zucchini, mozzarella, rolls, fried calamari are all pretty good but the selection of apps is small. Haven’t tried too much of the food as I always go for the pizza. It you appreciate a good pie and a classic Sicilian, this is your spot for sure!
