Sloooooooooow. Gets a 2 because the waitress was great while covering for the ineptitude in the kitchen. But maybe it was an anomaly; we all have bad days.

We went there and it was dead, there was our small group of four, and a guy at the bar, we waited about 30 mine to get service, and then another hour just to get our food, and when we did finally get our food, it was burnt, 3 it of for were burnt, the only reason three out of four because, how can you but, pasta. It was a terrible terrible TERRIBLE experience. We will not be coming back.

Best double dipped wings in town and the peanut butter pie is amazing.

Service a little slow at lunch, ordered a philly and it was nothing special. Not a lot on it. Waitress was nice, good place to stop but wouldn’t go out of my way to come here.

Food was terrific. Had the quesadilla appetizers. Full of flavor, nice sized portion. Ate dinner here on a Friday night. The place was very noisy. It is a pub after all. Entrees were delicious. I had the jambalaya and was not disappointed. Waitress was Ok. She forgot a few things a couple of times, but it was no big deal. Rest rooms were not well kept. Needs updating. If I could give 3.5 stars I would. The waitress was friendly and nice, just a little forgetful. Establishment was indeed noisy, but maybe I should expect that seeing that it is a pub. The bathrooms are pretty bad. More suited for a bar rather than a restaurant. I saw the men’s room, but my wife said the ladies wasn’t that great either.

We are weekend regulars at the Islander. Definitely a positive, local feel and great food — especially the Cobb salad, burgers and the sesame salmon dish. Blue cheese dressing here is awesome as well. We like sitting at the bar, but it is popular and always crowded!

Great pub– this place serves great food and cold beers in nice clean mugs(unlike the Backstreet Pub). The restrooms are clean and the people that work there are friendly.

The Islander is definitely Pendleton’s local bar. You’ll find the locals in the large booths and second-story dinning room for karaōke, happy hour, lunch, dinner and late-night drinking. Not many college students around besides some graduate students living in the area. Smoking is allowed on the bar side, so it’s pretty smoky throughout and popular for smokers. You’ll want to leave your clothes on the doorstep once you realize how badly they reek. Beer is reasonably priced with happy hour specials from 5−7pm and they have a full bar for shots and liquor drinks. Beers on tap are mostly(if not exclusively) big-name American beers. The menu is pretty variable and extensive, including veggie burgers, poboys(good luck finding oysters, but they always have shrimp), wings, and the typical bar fare. Entrees are priced around $ 8 – 10. Their menu is varied enough to leave options for the 10th, 20th and 30th time you visit, though you’ll likely have found your favorites by then.
