My wife and I found this place on Unilocal.Unfortunately, the day we were there the health department was doing an inspection. We ordered a small pizza and a Ruben. We received the small pizza for my wife, but my Ruben was forgotten. We told them we understood, busy things going on. Ordered another drink and said we would wait, the Ruben finally arrived, but unfortunately the fries(which cost extra) never found our table. We were very gracious, told them we understood and left a sizable tip. My suggestion would be the next time things go really bad, maybe offer to comp a drink? Desert? We did not expect a free meal, but 1 hour 20 minutes for lunch was kind of excessive. With all this being said, the food was incredible.

Easily the best food town. Everything on the menu shows real creativeness and ingenuity. Reasonably priced food and drinks as well. The only flaw is the service. They tried to go for a market style but they tell you to take a seat and then you end up waiting for 10 to 15 min for a waitress to make contact. If they hired a hostess and put a please wait to be seated sign out when busy, it would make the experience so much better. I recommend the sisters burger which has gorganzola cheese and bacon on it! Or try the lobster Mac and cheese!

We visited this restaurant during lunch on a Friday and had the place mostly to ourselves, which is great because the food was amazing! Do yourself a favor and get the hot chocolate if you visit on a cold day, or any day. Likely the best I’ve ever had!

I tried the chicken bacon basil pizza, my husband had the sister burger, and we also tried the berry lemon drop drink, my husband had the Moscow mule. The food was amazing and the drinks were fabulous. The service was just excellent! Very attentive to your needs. Visiting friends from California, definitely will be back!!!

I had the moms sandwich it was really good. My son had the chicken Cesar wrapped, and really enjoyed it. My daughter had the kids mac n cheese, and by no means was it Kraft Mac n cheese. I think that was my favorite, and I was happy when she didn’t finish it all. Very friendly staff.

My mother and I stopped in for the first time as she wanted to treat me for lunch on my birthday. The place was mostly empty and cold. We had a hard time finding the menu as only the drink menu was displayed hugely on the back wall. The staff member who took our order clearly didn’t care that we were even there. She avoided eye contact and chatted with someone she clearly knew down the bar in between my mother’s and my order. I will start out about the food by saying that if we didn’t have to pay for it ahead of time, there is no way we would have stayed and eaten it. Maybe that is why you pay a head? The bill was $ 21.95 After ordering a turkey cranberry wrap, the southwestern turkey panini, and a soy blended peppermint mocha, we waited for 32 minutes before anything arrived. Again there were maybe 6 people in the entire place. My drink came with whipped cream. This is a problem as I am allergic to dairy. I made that politely clear to the staff upon ordering. I asked her very politely if she could remove the whipped cream. She then proceeded to inform me it was made with whole milk. She looked quite annoyed and took it back to make a new one. Our food arrived 10 minutes after the first drink arrived and we were quite underwhelmed. My sad panini was less than an inch think with the outside of the bread quite toasty and the inside soggy. It had 1 small thin slice of avocado on each half, 2 pepperonicinis, 1 ring of an onion, and 2 slices of deli turkey. It was supposed to come with aioli mayonnaise. They forgot and I had to ask for some which caused her to look even more annoyed. The turkey cranberry wrap was also disappointing. It was discovered quite quickly that the same cheap turkey deli meat that was used for my panini, was also used for the wrap. After that disappointment my mother then found a few rancid walnuts. The final blow to this wrap was the herbed tortilla. The flavors did not meld well at all. I would think that if you are going to charge almost $ 9 each the food would be higher quality. For example using a real roasted turkey breast. The only redeeming thing about the meal was the potato salad. It was the best potato salad we had ever tried in any restaurant. It tasted like grandma made it. Overall I will not ever recommend this restaurant to any friends or family that visit us or live here. I will not be back.

Beautiful locally-owned café with good coffee and out-of-this-world pastries. Sandwiches are excellent but I haven’t tried any of their cocktails or entrees. It has such a fun coffee-shop vibe that I always forget they offer food. The staff is always a little grouchy. Fun place for coffee with friends.

Sister’s café was by far a PHENOMENAL choice for our dinner outing this evening. My other half ordered the«Man Burger» and it was very well made and great tasting according to him and I had the 3 tacos. Great presentation and the taste was worth every dollar spent. The staff was quick at getting our food and they made sure we had everything we had to enjoy our meal. Rosemary and her crew are very polite. I would definitely eat here again. Thank you to you all for a great dining experience and I look forward to dining at your establishment in the future. Lila Pendleton

Trying this place passing through Pendleton. We’ve been lucky on this trip, finding locals-frequented spots with delicious food. I’m afraid the streak has ended. A previous Unilocaler concluded that this was a place that wanted to be in Portland. Brick walls, dim lighting, trendy metal sculpted chairs and table décor. Café bistro music. And it’s cold, people are bundled up in here. If the star rating was solely for attitude of counter help(you order at the counter) there would be a zero-star. She couldn’t have cared less that we were wanting to eat, we had to find the menus ourselves as the only visible menu is the drinks and alcohol menu on the wall. We also noticed the counter help warmed up considerably to guests she knew, most likely repeat locals. We were left to find our own seat and figure out getting our own water. The plusses came when the food arrived: they offer gluten free bread and my husband’s turkey panini was very good. I ordered the spinach dip, average. Not spectacular, not the worst I’m ever had. It was piping hot, which is a plus. So, overall, a two star. Small portions, still hungry after I’ve eaten. Will we return? Nope. And one more thing, I noticed that most of the negative reviews are on the not recommended page. All of those reviews say exactly what mine says. No friendliness, snotty counter help and tiny portions.

My #1 place to eat in town. Rosemary has done an outstanding achievement to bring a new taste to Pendleton. The man burger is my favorite so far. I’m working my way down the menu and have not had a bad lunch or dinner yet.

I don’t give five stars very often, but this little deli was a winner! We shared the turkey club sandwich and for $ 8.95 it came with potato salad and a pickle. Everything was fresh and homemade from the croissant it was served on to the fresh roasted turkey inside. The turkey was exceptional just like grandma’s roasted turkey. Every server was helpful and friendly. Service was quick too! This was a definite 5 stars! Loved it! By the way, the address in Unilocal is the correct location.

Food is good, experience of eating there not so much. The place recently moved and was remodeled so heads up that the current Unilocal address is wrong. I never went to the old location, but the new remodel is very nice and modern, wood and brick abound. Only thing is they forgot to install any real lighting. This may be cool and moody at night but a really weird experience for breakfast/lunch. C’mon, you are in Pendelton, not at the W hotel! There is no table service which is also a drag. So we waited in line, no menu written on the boards and no menus easily accessible unless you are literally at the counter. When we did get a menu we couldn’t read it because it was so dark inside. Also, this place is really not good for small children. We were lucky to get the only highchair for our toddler but we saw several other families SOL. We waited for our food and the servers ran around yelling out orders because they couldn’t see the order numbers they gave us to put on our table. Why? Because, HELLO, there are no lights on! There was no one working the bar during lunch rush which means that getting water and refills was a real issue. They should offer a self serve water station since there is no table service. Could be a cool place if they get the kinks worked out, better accommodate families, and turn on some freakin lights!

My husband and I split the orchard blue salad and the uptown turkey sandwich. The lettuce was OK. The dressing, a berry vinaigrette, was flavorful, but strangely thick. We had it with added salmon. The salmon was smoked and all together this salad was refreshing and very tasty. We would have it again. It’s a great way to eat something light when it’s hot out. The uptown turkey was very full flavored as well. The sprouted wheatberry bread is really good and the bacon on this sandwich is top notch. It comes with a couple bites of a creamy potato salad too. Cream cheesy. They also serve coffee and have a wide variety of other drinks in their cooler, including several craft beers, ciders, lemonade, and soda/fruit drinks. While tempted, I was not able to try a cookie, but they looked great. The front room décor is just like any typical bistro and the staff is friendly, greeting you As you enter. The back room is a bit mismatched. The bathrooms and floor scream«Mexican!» But the table and chairs, paint and art are all«Bistro!» No matter, though, because the food was great, the coffee was good, the beer was regional and the service nice. Will definitely return! Need to try their crepes…

Oh so delicious! We’re traveling across Oregon and after reading other Unilocal reviews decided to stop on at Sisters Café for brunch. We are soooo glad we did. This is a darling little café in the heart of downtown Pendleton. The staff is very friendly, the service is prompt, and the food is freshly prepared and tasty. I had the Little Sister salad with Balsamic dressing and the ham and cheese croissant sandwich. The salad was prepared using fresh, crisp greens, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, a sprinkling of cheese and croutons, and it was artfully presented. My croissant sandwich was piping hot, the croissant flaky and buttery, the egg cooked to perfection, and the sharp cheddar was melted and bursting with flavor. My husband ordered a side salad with Caesar dressing and it too was beautifully presented and flavorful. He ate the Cuban panini and said the flavor combination of meats and sauce was perfect. It was served with a small cup of potato salad that was creamy with firm potatoes. He would love to be able to buy some to take home. So if you’re passing by Pendleton and looking for some good food, be sure to stop at Sisters for fresh food and friendly staff.
