The food and atmosphere is fabulous! Def worth the trip.

This is by far one of the best BBQ restaurants in the upstate. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. They also offer a 50%(yes you read that correctly) military discount which makes it more than affordable. The junior portions are more than enough for a standard portion and much cheaper if that’s what you’re looking for. Staff is so welcoming and waitresses are beyond sweet to everyone! Fantastic place!

Wow. What a great atmosphere and scrumptious food. You can sit inside(where it’s warm) or out in the«outhouse» area of the restaurant. There is a big open fire pit in between the two sections. This place is not only aesthetically pleasing, but the food tastes great and is plentiful. This is a popular eatery for the local Clemson crowd.

Best brisket I have ever had, by the way I do not like sweet potato’s but their fries are the best!!! Honey and powder sugar… Lord give me more!!! Worth the two hour drive for this friendly delicious place.

If you like BBQ, you cannot go wrong with The Smoking Pig. Husband and I have only been here once, but we’ll return soon and frequently! We shared a combination plate with ribs, brisket, pulled pork, fries, and the loaded potato casserole. This is really noteworthy BBQ. The pulled pork was exquisitely smoky and tender, the glazed ribs were delicious, and the sides were well done. But man oh man the brisket is something special. Do yourself a favor and at least include brisket in your order. It isn’t always my favorite thing; I feel like it isn’t always done right. But theirs is falling apart tender and packed with juicy flavor. Go hungry. Get the brisket. Pat yourself on the back for your excellent decision skills.

Ridiculous. Pork was great. Mustard sauce put it over the top. Brisket was … maybe the best brisket I’ve ever had. Coulda been a tad more tender. But the flavor: amazing. Great sauces. And the sweet potato fries were sprinkled with what looked like powdered sugar and had some honey on there as well. Just unbelievably good.

Wow. This place would get 10 stars from me if I could give it. What a cool place… Not only does it look like a REAL barbeque joint inside and out, but the food is UNBELIEVABLYGOOD. In addition to that, the service I received was outstanding… This place was everything I hoped it would be, and more. I live in TX and travel 3 weeks out of every month, so I eat out quite a bit, and can be quite the critic when it comes to BBQ especially, and I cant say that I’ve ever had a better experience at a BBQ place. Even what appeared to be the manager(possibly the owner) came around and checked on everyone. Very cool. I will definitely be back. Oh, and I had the pork sandwich, with mustard potato salad and sweet tea. Big sandwich, great portions!

This was a pleasant excursion into the best ribs that I have ever eaten… anywhere! The family we were visiting insisted that we go to the Smokin Pig for lunch. They made the claims that I have heard time and again about it being some of the best barbeque I will ever have. I didn’t think much of the claims but was willing to give another barbeque place a chance. OMG! The Glazed Ribs raised the bar for me. These were the best ribs that I have ever tasted. Anyone that loves ribs and is visiting in the Clemson, SC area needs to stop here! I will never go through this part of South Carolina again without stopping here for ribs!

We met some friends for a dinner during the Christmas holidays. I’ve been to the Smoking Pig on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. I usually have the BBQ beef brisket. It is always well prepared and delicious. Sometimes they will have a line but it’s well worth the wait.

Stopped here at my favorite bbq place in the country while traveling home with my son. The glazed ribs are like little bites of heaven. The brisket is some of the best around. I also enjoy the cobbler every time I’m here. This is a must visit now spot. Some where I recently saw a list of bbq places worth driving 100 miles just to eat there. My son and I stopped here on out drove from south Florida on our way home. It was probably 100 miles out of our way and worth every mile.

don’t look any further if you want bbque! Over the top w the dry ribs — gallon off the bone and excellent flavor! Brisket and pulled pork were just as amazing! Had the Brunswick stew, coleslaw, fired okra and a slamming sweet potato crunch for sides!!!

O. M. Gosh! I have found a new standard for ribs! I got the glazed ribs and they were meaty, not fatty, and had the best flavor I’ve tasted in a very long while! I usually eat 2 – 3 ribs but we ordered another side of ribs — just couldn’t get enough! Also tasted hubby’s fried okra and his baked beans and they were really good too… but I save my tummy for the ribs – yum, yum, yum!

Awesome, awesome, awesome BBQ. We used their catering service for our company’s 10th year anniversary party last week. They were extremely professional, the setup was beautiful, and they were ONTIME. The occasion was already stressful, and it was nice not having to track down the caterer when the time came. We will definitely use The Smokin’ Pig in the future. Also, if you don’t a heaping helping of the Sweet Potato Crunch, you’re really missing out. It’s the best I’ve ever eaten.

We came here on a Friday night and it was packed! The hostess told us it was an hour and a half wait. Being from out of town I know that if a place is jammed with locals, it has to be good. So, we decided to wait. A few minutes in, my locally-based friend said they had a take out section. We went over to place our orders to go. They were out of brisket, but it was around 8pm. I ordered the pulled pork & chopped chicken combo with fried okra and a cobbler. My husband ordered the half rack of ribs and Brunswick stew. Both entrees came with a roll and your choices of sauces. We had about a twenty minute drive home, but everything was still nice and hot. The chicken was so juicy and was chopped in bite-sized pieces. The pork was smokey and had nice glazed pieces. The okra had a batter that was a little sweet, but very good. I loved their choices of bbq sauces: hot, mild, vinegar-based, and mustard-based. The ribs were perfectly cooked and glazed(you could get them dry if you want). It is really hard to find ribs that are cooked the way they should be. Nice chew to them, nice bark, yet still tender & juicy. Lots of wonderful sides to choose from and all the best kinds of meat smoked on site. Fantastic bbq place! I hope to come back to try the brisket.

Have mercy, this is some good BBQ. Pulled pork and Brisket is heavenly. Plenty of sides to choose from but the jalapeño cheese grits and sweet potato soufflé are excellent. I’m not a professional reviewer but I know what tastes good and this place has it.

This has got to be the absolute best and my favorite BBQ place anywhere. I really love how they have expanded the place since last time I was in town. There are two large indoor seating areas, a great waiting spot with a fire pit in the middle, and even a food truck type trailer for to-go orders. The pulled pork sandwich is always my favorite, but a bite of the tender, juicy, yet lean brisket had me wishing I have more time in town to order this too. With so many good sides to choose from, it was difficult to decide, but I went with the fried okra, which was perfect. The sauces are all good, and our favorite was the vinegar one. Service was great, we had continuous filled sweet tea, friendly service and a host to keep the crowd moving and organized. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu and if you really want a treat, get a banana pudding or some cobbler to go.

Praise the Lard! Smokin Pig is mighty fine! I was blessed with the opportunity to eat the pulled pork, brisket, and ribs plate with fried okra and sweet potato fries as sides. Don’t forget the sweet tea! The worst thing I can say about this experience was that the fried okra was«just ok.» EVERYTHING else was biblical! The wait was only 30 minutes despite a large group of people already waiting. The service was top notch with the hostesses and waitresses being very attentive and helpful. The food came out quickly and, my God, it was amazing! The ribs? Tender. The pulled pork with vinegar sauce? Succulent. The brisket? Delectable! The fried okra? Well, not the most notable thing. The sweet potato fries with confectioner’s sugar and honey? Holy Mother! The inside of the joint is a shrine to the Church of Barbecue Done Right with some weird stuff like a small plane hanging upside-down inside one of the rooms with it’s propeller spinning. Look for the small metal pig sign with«BBQ» written on it when driving down the road and you’ll know you’ve found Heaven on Earth.
