I ate there around 11:45 tonight, the gentle man working there was in his 20s he was super friendly and never in my life have I had such perfectly cooked pizza logs and mozzarella sticks. About 2 minutes after my food came up, 10 teenagers walked in and he handled their order and them being kinda annoying perfectly. Saddly he was pretty busy when I left so I wasn’t able to catch his name, but awesome job!

Didn’t taste ‘bad’ persay but the mac salad was bland, meat was mealy and oh my god do I feel sick after eating that. I’m not a very big person so I was only able to eat about ¼th of the plate. 1 – 2 hours later I started having sweats and my stomach was not happy with me :(Hate wasting food, but I threw out the rest.

I was hoping this would be a solid choice, but nay. I got a hot dog/cheeseburger plate and was actually dissapointed. I didn’t think that could happen with a plate. The mac salad had no taste, meat sauce was mealy and watery, hot dog was burned, and just generally not the fix I was jonesing for. Also… they didn’t take credit cards, so we had to find an ATM which was a pain in the butt. Probably wont be going back here unless it’s a plate emergency.

We have eaten here a number of times. The last time we were charged more than the posted prices, and were told the prices had been increased but they hadn’t had a chance to change the menu board. Aside from that we have generally been pleased with the food. However The plate I got on 6÷25÷15 was so awful most of it went into the garbage. The mac salad was super bland and had a vinegar taste, the beans were awful mush, the bread was dry and hard. The hot dog was fine, everything else got thrown away.

Good plates, nothing out of the ordinary. Their beans ate thick and served cold which sucks the heat from your tatoes and meat which is a bit sad. The meaty«hot sauce» isn’t too hot or flavorful.

Moved to Penfield two years ago and immediately assessed my plate options. Penfield Hots is the best of the nearby plate joints. It’s a tiny place; usually(in my experience) there’s just one employee there. They make a good honest plate that sticks to the classic Tahou’s style. Portion size is good, burgers and mac/HF are good, and most critically the sauce is excellent. Credit cards aren’t accepted, but there’s an ATM, so they have that going for them, which is nice.

We order cheeseburg plates every time we get food from here. Their meat sauce is some of the best that we’ve tasted anywhere around the city. It’s the perfect blend of spice and flavor(and not too much grease). It’s the only place we gets plates these days. Definitely recommend it to anyone in need of a good plate.

.99¢ Cheeseburgers… WHAT! When my colon is hankering for an oil slick, this is my first stop. They’re open super late to support the dietary needs of the intoxicated east side. Garbage plates are 6.99 after midnight. When you catch the boss or his son tbeir, the service is amazing. They really care about providing good service. I’ve encountered a few other employees as well, all very nice.

Late night munchies… fun staff and satisfactory for what you expect out of it, although didn’t get a garbage plate to really review I suppose…

We just moved to Penfield, and I bought the Living Social deal when it came out so we could give it a try… we’d been going to Fairport Hots beforehand, but will now switch to P-Hots because it’s better & closer. The hot sauce makes all the difference to me — it doesn’t set my mouth on fire like at Fairport Hots. The service was friendly and quick. We’ll be back!

I used to come here late nite with friends in high school, and I’ve been talking about garbage plates for 8 years ever since I left ptown for college. I love me a garbage plate with white hots, mac salad, and homefries! You have to get it in a take out container so that it can contain all the grease for you. It literally looks like garbage especially since it’s in this little hole-in-the-wall place, but it is oh-so-delicious. It’s terrible for your health, though. The only downside is that they increased their prices! It’s $ 9 a plate now!

So I was staying in Rochester overnight and asked the concierge where a good ‘garbage plate’ was and she pointed me to this place. For those of you that don’t know what it is, the traditional garbage plate(according to the owner here) is pasta salad, hamburger patties with melted cheese, home fries and topped with hot sauce(some kind of meat sauce) and mustard. It’s a heart attack in a box, but doesn’t taste too bad actually. I can’t really describe the overall flavour, but the pasta salad tastes interesting with all the meat. The place itself is kind of hard to find, its in the back of a parking lot between starbucks and dunkin donuts. It’s a pretty small place inside, basically just a tile floor with a few tables and chairs. I chatted with the owner for a bit while he cooked the meat and he told me they are open till midnight every night and sometimes later on the weekend — so if your out for a late night in wild Rochester/Penfield look no further. I don’t know that I’ll be eating here again, but if your in the neighbourhood its worth trying. Protip: He says call if your going to come late to make sure he doesn’t close early.
