Love it here. Only complaint is that there’s no food unless there’s a food truck. Of course, if there was food, I might never leave. Good selection of beers although I wish there were a few more wit/wheat options, as that’s my fave.

I’d give Abandon 4 stars based on ambience alone, but their beers are so good they get the perfect score. There was 17 beers on tap last Sunday when I was there at the end of February and the temps were in the low 60’s. I’m ready. Abandon is not to be missed. I could knock ‘em down a notch for the sour, but I only really like Flemish sours anyway. The whole experience was wonderful.

This place is amazing. Went here within their first year and they had a huge, diverse beer list that just keeps getting better. I’ve liked every beer I’ve tried from Abandon, and their staff is great. And you can’t beat the view from the deck!

Great brewery, slow to mediocre service. I would normally bump this down to 3-stars but because my +1 loved the beer so much, we’ll stick with 4. Great views and a beautiful farmhouse/interior. There is an outside deck with picnic tables or you can hang out by the railing and drink your samplers looking out over the scenery. There was a wedding and a huge party of 10 outside so I’m guessing this is why it was so overwhelming. It’s good to know you can have a reception here! There is a separate area from the tasting room so that’s nice. The bathroom is behind the bar, not the outhouse looking closet(which is pretty funny btw). Inside has picnic tables and a huge are rug, which I wish had more seating but maybe I’m picky. Great atmosphere and we will be back if we are ever in the area again!

Great place to sample beers. Very nice bar area in refurbished barn with entertainment. My wife and I had a catered dinner there, catered by a restaurant in Penn Yann. Food was great and the beer pairings were fantastic. The owner was our host and explained the beer selected for each course. I think we paid $ 45 a couple before tip, which was an incredible value. host actually went to each table and spoke with customers. This place does it right and understands the value of customers. It’s a bit far from home, so I’ve only been there once. I’m really looking forward to a second visit. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend a trip away from the wineries for a stop in here.

OK beer but expensive. Growler refills more expensive than Keuka, Finger Lakes and Two Goats. I checked my receipt and found an «up charge» which was not explained to me at time of purchase. I phoned the number listed on the site several times and left a message requesting an explanation. I finally received a call back almost 10 days later and received an explanation that they charge extra for a large growler. I have had the same growler refilled at other breweries in NY and OH and was never«up charged». Check your receipts before signing. The day I went there it was warm and the deck lacked adequate seating.

3 stars for the beer, 5 stars for the most beautiful view from a drinking establishment that I experienced all week. Absolutely gorgeous. Best beer in the Finger Lakes, but unfortunately the competition is about as low as you get. A high quality brewery(Hill Farmstead/Tired Hands-esque) in this area with a good lake view location would so some seriously great business. Fortunately, combining some solid, though not exceptional, beer with an amazing view makes for a great experience.

All of the beer we sampled would have been better if it was colder. None of our choices were impressive at the temperature they were served. We were told that it gets colder as the day goes on… Not sure what that means. Too many other local craft houses to visit that understand that beer should be cold. Neat barn, nice setup.

It is simply a cool farmhouse brewery with a diverse beer list. The beers were all well balanced and beyond the usual curve of a 2 year old brewery. The view is fantastic and the two bartenders were attentive and friendly. A definite must visit if you are on the Keuka Lake beer trail.

What a great addition to Penn Yan. Loved it. Love the barn and the views and the beer. We brought a growler home. Only suggestion… a few more small food options… some of the beers have a higher alcohol content and since I gotta get in a car… I would love even some saltine crackers to go with the peanuts !

Abandon brewery is an awesome little place located in the mist of wine country sitting high up on a hill overlooking Keuka lake with a magnificent view! I like the rustic feel inside as the brewery itself was an old barn! The beers here are pretty tasty with a nice variety to try. Also while drinking make sure to pick up some peanuts as you try your favorite suds. Also on a nice day, there’s an outdoor seating area nestled amongst the vineyards so the aroma of grapes surrounds you or sit out front on the deck an enjoy the view of the lake and relax with a brew or two! Heck yeah I’ll be back, great ride to get here too!

Does it get cooler than drinking delicious beer in an old barn overlooking the rambling pastures of Keuka Lake? Not really, my friends. This is trendy rustic chic in its prime, but the place is too down to earth to know it! First, the beers are good. Some are better than others, but overall the quality is there. I particularly enjoyed the Farmhouse Porter and Session Saison. Smoked pumpkin ale was stellar too. Aside from the great beer, the atmosphere won my heart. A barn from the 1800s, fresh country air, friendly faces and the absence of feeling rushed on the wine trail… all wonderful attributes. Keuka is so much more manageable than the busload-ridden haunts of Seneca. I feel like I can breathe out there. The beer makes it that much better. Enjoy with abandon.

Our local sources tell us Abandon had the best beer around, but I’ll let you be the judge. It’s up a hillside overlooking Keuka Lake. If anyone took the signs away you would never find it. Step inside the old barn and admire the wide open spaces and large windows. Plexiglass panels cut the cold while showing off the original wood, holes and all. Patio heaters were keeping the place warm on the day we visited. A wide variety of beers on tasting flights awaits. Nice atmosphere with tables around the bar. Though I don’t drink beer, I did try the cider. Be forewarned, this«cider» was quite different than any I have ever tasted(North America, Ireland, and the UK). Minimally processed, opaque, and with a taste that none of my beer-drinking party could endorse, this cider could possibly be based on an age-old recipe used in many correctional facilities. Don’t let that deter you. We’re fortunate to have such a place to visit. They may even get me drinking beer instead of cider.(at least here.)

Without doubt the best brewery/pub we have been too. Great place. Great people. Great beers. Chillin cook off was a great bonus. Would recommend highly and would try and come back here.

I am not a huge fan of craft beer, so this was an interesting stop on our tour, I just didn’t drink much here. You are basically inside a barn which has a bar in it. There is a back deck, but it really isn’t overlooking a whole lot. My friends seemed to enjoy the beer so I am guessing it was good(they all either are, or pretend to be, beer snobs). There wasn’t a lot of room to wander around and there wasn’t much to see other than the bar area or standing out on the deck. If you are there to just try some beer, seems like a great place. If you want something interesting to look at or learn about while you are trying the beer, there isn’t much here. I was surprised there wasn’t someone giving talks about how they make the different beers or how they come up with the ideas behind them.

I think the proper name is «Abandon Brewing Co «but the address is correct ;) this place blew me away with its delicious brews on tap… you really cannot go wrong with any selection, and it is just so gorgeously scenic overlooking the lake. The people here are totally passionate about their craft and it shows. Love it! A bit off the beaten path, but well worth the excursion!

I LOVE this new Geothermal powered craft brewing company in Penn Yan, NY home of Keuka lake. Stunning views from the old red barn. Delightful workers and owner who take real pride in their product line, which continues to grow. The Porter and Belgian were highlights. As time passes in this sleepy area I am happy to report these unique business are making the Finger Lakes a true beer destination. Check it out!

This place is a great addition to keuka lake. The tasting sizes are phenomenal and what’s inside them is even better. Friendly staff and rustic setting with a nice view of the lake. If your visiting some wineries add this to your tour to try something new
