If i could give less than one star I would. Never again. Took over an hour to get a pizza, salad and wings. Opened pizza box to find all the topping had slid into one corner of the box. Breaded wings cooked in old rancid oil. Called to inform. Manager offered to replace pizza but would be an hour. One up side. Excellent bleu cheese dressing

I ordered delivery. Called at 6:45. Meal didn’t arrive until 8:15 after a 30 – 45 min promise on the phone. Food arrived lukewarm. Side salad was about 4 pieces of lettuce and a tomato wedge. Crab Rounds appetizer is 5 .5″ diameter balls of breading with some crab flavor, and the tarter sauce didn’t make it here. Gross. Wife and I split chicken parm, again it was lukewarm at best, and wasn’t very good at all. I’ve had worse, but not by much.

Sometimes it is better to be lucky than right. I came down to Lincoln Highway today to check out a different restaurant, but found it closed on Tuesdays. Tough luck? Not really. Right down the road in the next little shopping strip was an Italian place that was just opening a new store, Arosso II Express. I was there. It was open. I went in. Although most of the room was cool, standing at the display counter I could feel the blast from the ovens rolling over me. With it came the aroma of garlic, oregano, tomatoes, pepperoni, and assorted other Italian standards. They had just taken a few trays of Bread Sticks, Steak and Cheese Stromboli, and Spinach Rolls out of the ovens and they were cooling right in front of my face. Felt like Nonna’s home on Christmas Day! After advising me that I would have to take out whatever I ordered, I selected a Spinach Roll. When I cut into it a few minutes later, the steam released a cloud of Sautéed Spinach with heavy Garlic infusion and melty Mozza. A little cup of homemade red sauce accompanied it. The crust was moderately charred and crispy. The spinach, garlic and cheese had been heated to the merge/melt point where everything was fused together is a luscious conglomeration. I poured the red gravy over each cut just before eating it. The result was a wonderful taste explosion. It was delicious. I left with a take out menu because I knew there was a lot more going on at Arosso II than I could digest in one visit. The lists are comprehensive for lunch and dinner, with prices for their Wood Burning Style Pizza from $ 6.25 to $ 17.50, in 3 sizes. Salads, Dinners, Pastas, and an array of Apps and Soups round out the offerings. The guys there were super friendly and happy to let me take photos. That they are proud of their work is patent, and well deserved. Gotta love their slogan: «Eat Well — Eat Often — Love Much» Downright Unilocalian!
