For the most part, it was a pretty easy experience. Lots of frames to choose from, that change pretty often. The only problem was in picking the glasses up. The end is slow. When the glasses get in, there is only one person to fit them. I had to come back since he was so backed up. My sister had the same experience. Maybe hire another person for the weekend.

Great customer service and I loved Dr. Mark, he was friendly and talkative and explained everything he was doing, he seems really passionate about his career. The ladies up front were just as nice and I found my eye glasses for $ 50! They have great deals and offer military discount! They will be my GO TO place!

Quick and very good customer service! They ran my insurance from California and it only took a couple minutes, got in, got out and now I can see again!

Wonderful! I had lost my glasses and due to lack of eye insurance, I was not able to afford a new pair or an exam. I purchased a Groupon and gave them a visit. They exceeded all expectations I had! They had a huge selection of frames for $ 50. I found the frames I wanted and they were ready for me a few days later. Once I put them on, I had tears in my eyes (happy tears!) I was able to see properly again! It was so stressful to strain my eyes while driving or just doing day to day things. I am so thankful that this place exists! Being able to see properly makes a huge impact on life!

These reviews did not lie — this place is great. Was in and out quickly, but with the right prescription. Got glasses and contacts updated. They have up-​to-​date technology and a very kind staff.

I am definitely in agreement with the other Unilocalers. My experience was no different than everyone else’s and they have earned another loyal customer. The other eyeglass stores in town all advertise the «Buy 1, get 1 free» or «Two pairs for $ 69», but I have found those deals to be rip-​offs. I was a bit weary of the $ 50 frames offer, because when frames are $ 50, they are always the really low quality frames that no one wants, and then they add a bunch of fees on top of that. The frames on display here were ALL $ 50, which meant their ad was 100% legit. At the end of my visit, I paid $ 228 for my glasses which included my eye exam and transitional lenses. I paid $ 336 the previous year at another optical store for the same services/​items! The people who run this business really know customer service, too. The lady who helped me, Christy, was so friendly and nice. I spent a good amount of time looking at frames, and she was patient with me for the entire time. She even tried to make conversation with me, which I think is a nice touch. My experience with the Fifty Dollar Eye Guy was definitely a «Woohoo! As good as it gets!».

First visit with this business and I will be a returning customer. Heard Mark on 1620 Radio talking about his new store on highway 29 and thought I would check them out. Having bad experiences with other optical shops I was a bit reluctant. However, after checking out the store I am sold! Michelle and Tina really care about customers and ensuring you have the correct pair of glasses. As a guy I dislike picking out frames and Tina understood this and was 100% helpful in assisting me with a great pair of glasses. She took great care of my son who is now getting his first pair of glasses. If your looking for a honest business who cares about customer service without the crazy up sales this is your new optical shop. Appointment was easy and they are very efficient and effective. Nice job to the entire group including Mr. T who is teaching his son well.

The Fifty Dollar Eye Guy has far exceeded my greatest expectations of quality and fashionable glasses; moreover, the customer service cannot be beat. The sales staff stayed beyond closing time, and they were so friendly and attentive to find exactly the right glasses to fit my facial features and my fashion desires! They know how to operate a successful business. If you purchase glasses elsewhere, you will be making a tremendous mistake. I am a hard person to please due to my high standards, my selective fashion taste for perfection, and my quests for uniqueness; however, the staff at THE FIFTY DOLLAR EYE GUY has surpassed my high standards, which is not easy to do. Therefore, I purchased four pairs of glasses within the last several weeks. I humbly thank Mark, Mehgan, and the rest of the fine staff for my pleasurable shopping experience!

My husband has been needing new glasses for a few months, and when he only had one contact left… I knew no more excuses, it was time to just get it done.
He heard about the $ 50 Dollar Eye Guy on the 1620am radio, and we decided to check them out. When we walked in they were very quick to help us. They had the lenses he needed in stock (which is crazy awesome because he has a bad astigmatism and no other eye store that he has ever been to has ever carried his prescription in stock). He wanted to order HD lenses, and they gave him regular lenses and the frame for free that day! That way he wouldn’t be without glasses. Very professional and great prices! They also have a HUGE selection of glasses to choose from. I have never seen so many glasses in an eye store, and I mean HUGE!
We will no longer be going to any other eye store! If you wear glasses, this is the place to go!!!
They deserve way more than 5 stars.
