Tourist Beware! Terrible customer service!!! I will never go back here. Overpriced and dishonest! Food quality is not up to par. I was passing through while on vacation and decided to get some carry out from the buffet. The sign in the front with the prices are wrong, but they won’t tell you until you check out. When I complained to the manager she told me she didn’t care if never came back since I was tourist.

The staff is friendly, and place is vey nicely decorated interior and exterior. Overall looks very nice. Food however is average. Honestly I was a bit disappointed at their selection for it being such a big building their isn’t that many options. Overall I would recommend their sushi, nice and fresh but as far as taste and options, I would personally not go back.

Here is the deal, am I really sure what the food I am eating is? No, but come on, do I really expect more? Food is edible, the sushi chef served me an eel roll because of a misunderstanding, but it was actually pretty good. Look, if you know what you are getting into, this place is pretty alright.

Horrible food! The crab legs had no seasoning. The lo mein was over cooked. Stay away! Only the beverage was good. The waitress was friendly. I would NOT recommend this restaurant.

I will never go back. Over priced for soggy, over cooked, OLD food. It was so horrible that there was more food in my napkin than in my stomach. The food had to have been sitting there for a long while, as it was dried out by the lamps. Never again will I make this mistake. When I said something, all I got was a poor girl trying to defend a product that she even said wasn’t that great! Ended up paying for the food anyways, even though all they did was make it so I wouldn’t want to eat for the rest of the day – after eaten almost nothing. Guess I am starting that diet early!

My family and I used to come here all the time, but our last visit was exactly that– our last. This place used to be really great. Now, their food has really gone down in quality and flavor. The only thing I enjoyed was the hibachi bar and the ice cream. Everything else, I could only eat 1 – 2 bites, and I’d be sick of it. The service is good, but it is overpriced for the quality of food. I wouldn’t recommend it. There used to be really good buffets in town, but all of them have really gone down.

I’m not quite getting the poor reviews of this place. Maybe people are expecting gourmet from a buffet? Anyways, as far as Chinese buffets go and Pensacola go, this one if the best one in my opinion for more than one reason. I normally go with friends during lunch hour and everything is really fresh. Their sushi is even palatable(they make a sort of rainbow roll with pickled daikon in it that is actually pretty darned good) and some might consider me a sushi snob. The restaurant is also really clean, and well updated, especially as far as sushi restaurants go, and especially as far as anything on Nine Mile Rd goes. I mean, seriously?! I don’t understand price either, maybe at dinner? Lunch is more than reasonable. It’s about the cheapest place. There’s restaurants in Milton and PACE, Fl that charge more money for their buffet, and these are stupid, ramshackle places with little to no selection. The Thai chicken is really nice at King Buffet, as is their Mei Fun(my favorite, and thankfully one typically GF noodle dish I can have). Service is good and prompt, they keep up with refilling our glasses when we need them. Quick at processing payments as well, too. That said, my one complaint is that I really wish they would get sugar peanuts on their buffet. I love those things, unfortunately. That also said, I live far closer to Chow Time, but I do really prefer this buffet and will make the extra trip.. . Usually on pet food pick up day, since I go to tractor supply for those!

Ok, so I’m not a picky eater, however… They had a nice variety of items. The food was warm… including the sushi :-(waitress was nice enough to let me know when the crab legs were up. NOW I will say this… those crab legs needed some flavor. The fruit was AMAZING! The deserts were BOMB!

Nothing special here. Definitely not that good. I wouldn’t say it was awful but not even an average Chinese place.

This place has gone way downhill. The staff is horrible. Everyone looks just either looks angry or depressed. The food has gone way downhill. Its not the worst Chinese buffet, but for the price you can find much better food.

Too expensive for the quality of food. Sushi is fair at best. Not very clean. Makes me wonder what am I really eating???

Good Chinese buffet although the Sushi Chief was rude and no happy to be working behind the counter. It was 11:30 the place was open for a ½ hr. And he was mad that he had to prepare food for his customers a few others seen this too. Will take this off my favorite for now. Will try it again in the future.

Tonight we took Exit 5 to the Hell that is King Buffet. Oh, Silly Self! When will you ever learn that Chinese buffets are sent from abroad to slowly but surely take over the world by fronting coronary artery disease as a bargain, disguised as 200 awful ‘entrees’? How many dollah will you lose on this Chinese Roulette Game? How many all nighters on the potty? Be warned! These things are a carefully executed offensive! They are a quiet, undiscovered surgical strike to our nation — how else would thousands of Chinese restaurants all over the country have the exact same menus?! They are are answering to our McDonald’s and Burger Kings with a vengeance! In our region, King Buffet is leading the strategy with a most diabolical and militant cuisine. Not to be satisfied with dosing biological warfare through stomach cramps, they add a hefty front line of staff armed with traditional weaponry –the«long bo staffs» operating as mops which fling toxic water to and fro at will during your meal. Should you decide to have a converstation, be prepared to interrupted by an unsmiling soldier who will demand you to work while camped there: you will have to hand over the soy sauce to be switched out. You will later be stopped, and forced to hand over salt and pepper shakers for for the same reason. Incredibly, this assault is tenacious, and a third time, you will work, releasing your container of sweetener packets to your warden’s custody. You will continue to attempt to manage the rumblings of hunger you had when you first walked in, overlooking the fingerprint smears on nearly everything, to sample bites of deep fried… animal. You may attempt an oyster from the cold bar, but you may as well swallow your own snot and reserve your bathroom for the night, as you surely will have invited c. vibrios to nestle into your gut. At no time during your futile attempts to nourish yourself will your table be cleaned. Remember, people! This is the ‘Nam of culinary war! It ain’t for sissies! Clean your own damn table! You’re on King Buffet soil now, Punk!

I have to agree with Kim. I have run into some rather rude folks here. People will block your way to the crab legs, and then take practically the entire tray on there plate, so that literally the legs are towering and falling off on the floor, where they then kick them under the food warmers. The few crab legs that this fat chick left behind were good. Recently, I was cut in line by a very badly behaved black family while leaving and paying my bill, and when I addressed the woman who cut, she was extremely rude, and the wait staff and clerk behind the register was seemingly ok with this sort of thing. For that reason alone, I will not be returning to the restaurant, which is a shame because the food is halfway decent for a buffet. I’m not a racist or a bigot, that kind of behavior is not socially acceptable, and the woman clearly wasn’t watching her kids that were running a muck. It was a infuriating sight all around. The food is decent, it’s a typical Chinese/Japanese/Mongolian buffet. I agree that the sushi is the garden variety rolls, but it will do in a pinch. The restaurant is located in a rather shady area, looks rather run-down, so be aware of your surroundings. I never had a problem finding a decent spot and while I’d lock my doors, there have been some shootings locally(recently) I will not be returning due primarily to the clientele. I now go to the buffet in Pace instead.
