Pensacola Indoor Shooting Range

We may still give them a try and update this review, but I’m not at all impressed thus far.
I was excited to see an indoor range in the area. However, on my first visit I had to stand around a long time and doing everything short of jumping up and down to get any attention to ask questions. I was then also told I couldn’t even get a tour of the range, and couldn’t go through the door unless paying.
Ok, I passed. However, it still seemed like a good deal otherwise. With my spouse considering a purchase we stopped by again. On the store side we got a kid with no clue initially, then finally someone who at least knew the difference between a revolver and a semi-​auto. We got cards for two instructors my wife could contact for an hour 1 on 1 to help find what works for her WITHOUT my two cents, as I requested.
It all seemed good, until walking back to the range side and the SAME issues of not wanting to even acknowledge our presence. We waited 30 minutes, and each time we tried to talk to anyone they always had to «run» and take care of something. We could see by the TV screens the range was almost empty and only one couple sitting in the break area. Not sure what their emergency was.
To top it all off, as of this year you MUST buy your ammo from them to shoot there. Their prices are ok though, if buying factory ammo, but what I once thought looked like a great deal went right down the drain if I can’t use my own reloads.
Pensacola still needs a decent indoor commercial range, or a gun club that can make one happen!

When into have a gun transferred. Will was great, did the best he could given the circumstances but Warren on the other hand was one of the most unprofessional people I’ve ever seen behind a gun counter. He was impatient and kept complaining about having to put stock away. One customer was waiting patiently and he still continued do other things instead of assisting. It’s almost as if the other employees feared for their safety if they were to piss off Warren. He even made a negative comment to me about the gun I was shipping because of the laser sight. He said something along the lines of «oh don’t tell me you fell for one of those». It took me by surprise and it took me a second to realize what he was saying. i was taken back by his comment and how unprofessional he was. I got the gun as a trade. This is the second time I’ve visited Pensacola Indoor Shooting Range and unfortunately it is the last.

My first trip, won’t be my last. I found the staff to be very courteous. After filling out the necessary paperwork, and buying several targets, we went out to the range and shot for the better part of an hour or so. I needed help adjusting the laser grip on my revolver, and Jerry was extremely helpful in getting the laser adjusted. When we were there it was in the afternoon, and not very crowded. Overall, we were made to feel very welcome. I am an experienced shooter with a lot of it in the military, so I did not find the rules intimidating in the least, as some have. My thought on that is — if you find the rules of the range a problem for you, then I do not want to shoot anywhere around you. Anyway, great experience, good people, safe atmosphere, a great way to spend the afternoon doing something that you like. I will be back, and in the meantime, I am contemplating a membership.

Great place. Thursday and Tuesday… Ladies shoot half off, what a deal! Friendly and knowledgeable staff!

It was my first time shooting and it was fun and I felt safe. Jerry was very patient with me and the way he explained the rules, safety tips, and how to hold the gun correctly and shoot was really easy for me to follow. By the end of the session, I felt so comfortable and I would definitely go again to practice more!

I’m extremely impressed with the professionalism and courtesy of the staff. They aren’t condescending to women and those of us who don’t have a great knowledge of firearms. They politely stress safety, without being rude or overbearing. The range is clean, well lit, and properly venilated. There’s a very good selection of rentals including Class I I I weapons (either fully automatic, suppressed (silencers), or both. If you’ve always wanted to try an automatic weapon, this is a good way to do it. Prices in the store are honest, meaning you won’t be cleaned out when making a purchase. All in all, a great way to spend a few hours having fun.

Second visit was amazing the staff took my nervous wife and made her feel comfortable. She is from Australia and has had very little experience with firearms. She bought a smith and Wesson body guard 380 after saying my .45 was to heavy for her and did not feel right in her hands. The staff walked her through everything she needed to know about the pistol including safety and grip and technique. Her first six shots at 10 years were all in thence head and no farther apart than a small dish. As she began feeling comfortable with the gun we noticed that the target bullets were not consistent. You could see the pin strikes but they were not firing. The store «gate keeper» beau was nice enough to let her try a glock 42 for free. He did not have to do that it shot the same caliber round. My wife fell in love with the glock. Needles to say she bought it. The prices were fair and the staff bent over backwards to help. The range boss John and his brother jerry are very helpful and made sure any questions or issues where handled and given great instructions. We are getting a membership as soon as possible. Best place to practice and a good way to bond with friends and family. And of course blow off steam. I have only been twice but my shooting has already improved. Thanks to the staff and there patients with the shooters. If you have a gun you must check them out. Corner of 29 and stumpfield. Can’t wait to go again this week.

Awesome! Yesterday, I took my sister in law who is in town for the holidays; we had a great time shooting! I can tell you, the staff is friendly, knowledgable and professional! Safety is obviously very important, they took the time to educate us on all necessary rules, which put my sis at ease (this was her first time shooting). Oh the best part… Tuesday is half price for ladies; I’ve found a new hobby after work; I’ll definitely be back & refer others too!

Place is awesome. First time there with my husband and everyone was so friendly and inviting. I’ve been to some ranges where they are very intimidating and it makes me not want to go back however quite the opposite here. The range is nice and clean and if you need something that you forgot at home they have it there. Will def be returning.
