A very favorite for us Pensacola natives. Love the indoor-outdoor atmosphere. And multiple bars so you can choose where you would like to be at all times. Upper and lower seating on the decks overlook the boats coming into the marina. Love all of the food that we’ve had there… been going since before the fire and love the renovations that they did afterwards. They have a beach volleyball area right when you’re walking up to the tiki bar which is always a fun thing if you want to go out and play, watch the others play or a great place for the children if you’re dining. Very casual as most Pensacola restaurants are since we are a Beach town. Have nothing negative at all to write about here. Highly recommend this local favorite.

This is a happening place with great food! Lots of games in the sand like volleyball. This place is cornered within a Harbor so the water views are awesome. There’s music playing in the air and fun people everywhere. Bookmark it if your visiting Pensacola soon!

Great find! Outdoor/indoor tiki bar/restaurant. Situated right on the dock over looking the gulf river. Gator bites for appetizer– great snack Mahi mahi taco — not a fan, had much better. Missing real flavor and to much pepper to mask the lack of flavor. Shrimp and grits– highly recommended. So much couldn’t finish. Service was pleasant, atmosphere perfect.

Met up there with an old friend for lunch. Lucky enough to get a nice spot outside while the music played and the water waved. I orders a shrimp po-boy sandwich for my meal. Although it was not quite crispy enough for my liking it was still a tasty sandwich as their tartar and cocktail sauces were spot on. Also, their fries were really crispy and delicious.

Awesome spot. Casual with a great view and ambience. The staff is very nice and very attentive. The food and drinks are great at a good price. I recommend this spot for any group get togethers, dates, or family outings.

Loved it. It was perfect weather to sit on the water and eat some good food. I ordered the crab cake, veggies, cheese grits and two hush puppies. There was alot of crab in the cake and the grits were really cheesy. The hush puppies were huge and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Husband had the red beans and rice and the gumbo. He must have been yearning for NOLA! He said the gumbo had alot of great fish in it. The beans had just the right amount of spice. He said you’d better like Cajun if you order them though. Service was attentive and quick. We will definitely be back on our next trip through the area.

Good food, great atmosphere on the water ! We are from Cincinnati and happened upon this place because Joe Patti’s was closed. So glad we did. Crawfish étouffée was excellent. Everything tasted homemade. Wish this place was on the Ohio River in Cincy !

I came here with my boyfriend and his mom, who lives in Pensacola. We were hankering for some sea food, good drinks, and a moment to relax by the bay and this place hit the spot. I got the fish and chips, which was actually breaded nicely — light and crispy. The hushpuppies were amazing — some of the best hushpuppies I have had in a while. The portions were humongous so I barely made a dent in the plate, but it heated up well for leftovers. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the cole slaw, but I’m pretty picky when it comes to slaw. The real selling point is the ambiance of the place. It has a casual feel — there’s a spot for sand volleyball and other games. And you can sit wherever you’d like. It’s pretty much first come, first serve type of seating. The management is friendly and visible — the night we went the manager greeted us and also wished us well as we were leaving. He also walked around once to see how we were enjoying our meal. If you’re looking for a hearty, tasty meal with a refreshing drink, this is the place to go. It will definitely be on the«visit again» list.

A large restaurant near the water. Would be great for a party. They have volleyball sandbox area. Area for corn hole. Nice view of the water. Inside and outside seating and a bar area. I went and ordered a meal to go. Got the fish and shrimp dinner and chicken fingers dinner for the kiddo. The food was really good and seasoned well. Served with French fries and hush puppies. The hush puppies were delicious and huge, I may just orders those alone sometime.

Heard a lot of people talk about this place. Saying it was amazing and the seafood was fresh. I expected some crab legs, clams, oysters, scallops… like actual seafood. They have some fish options and shrimp. The menu was nothing to ride home and tell everyone about. It felt like a chain more then I expected and I didn’t like that. I got the fried pickles which is the main reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 2. They were perfect.

I spent a week in the area for work, and met local friends there for dinner on not one but TWO different occasions. The location and view are awesome(but I love marinas) as is the ambiance, since they have a dog friendly area. I had the crab dip one night, and fish and chips the other and both meals were great. There was a family with kids near us and the staff was really tolerant of the kid-let related drama. I’ll definitely be back

LOVEDIT!!! The portions are massive the staff is courteous the atmosphere is just right. Very family friendly. Our loud kids didn’t get a single dirty look. Watching boats go by as we feasted on fish that just melts in your mouth(fat juicy shrimp on the side) was just the perfect Sunday afternoon. Mom Dad… You might not have to get your kids meals because you probably won’t finish what’s on your plate! Seafood PlatterHUGE.

The food is meh in my opinion. Nothing stands out. All the basic fried fish stuff. The menu doesn’t really go beyond that. The view is awesome. The servers are usually awesome. The place has SUCH great potential to be like Fish House or Joe Pattis or some of the other iconic Pensacola restaurants on the water, but it just falls way too short when it comes to the food.

My family, fiancé and I visited The Oar House to cap off celebrations for my little sister, a naval aviation officer who received her wings at the end of August. Her graduating class selected the bar to host the event and set up a tab. As with a lot of the sites that I visited in Pensacola, the location was perfect. The Oar House is located on the scenic Bayou Chico, which overlooks the Bahia Mar Marina. It is also very close to downtown Pensacola. You can eat outside and enjoy the gorgeous views or inside. We visited on a Friday night and a man was playing some music. The outdoor area boasts a large bar, a dining area and games(ping pong and cornhole) that you can play. I believe I also saw a spot for beach volleyball, but I can’t be too certain. The sand felt awesome between my toes. As for the games, I believe you have to talk to the restaurant staff about renting the equipment and you have to leave your ID with them, which you can get back once you return the equipment. People did tend to leave their games unattended to chat with their friends, which made it a bit confusing for those who wanted to play, so be sure to ask them if they are done before you play. Full disclosure: I’m not one for bars/drinking so I wasn’t looking forward to this part of the evening, but surprisingly enough, I had a rather enjoyable time. I’d definitely chalk it up to playing lots of cornhole, despite being unable to improve my throwing skills as the rounds went on. Though, I was able to get some bags on the board and in the hole. Go me! My mother, a non-drinker, shocked us by being shockingly good at cornhole. I think I’ll chalk that up to beginner’s luck! We mainly stayed outside, but I had a look at the inside. The overall vibe is beachy, chill and laid back. You can even buy a shirt, tumbler or glass to commemorate your trip to the bar/restaurant. There’s also a walkway on the side of the restaurant where you can get a closer view of the boats, water and relax out on a small docking platform. All in all, it’s a pretty cool place and popular among the locals. The sand games & scenic venue definitely sold it for me. I would have loved to try the food, but unfortunately, my trip to Pensacola was a short one. The Oar House is definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area.
