Cassie Ways has been taking care of me for awhile now! She knows exactly what I want and had lots of knowledge and experience! Also, I love that she’s honest and can tell you exactly what will and will not look good on you. Cassie is a true professional. Would highly recommend to anyone regardless of their style.

I first went here with my mother and bridal party on my wedding day for hair and makeup. They were very accommodating when scheduling times and location. They offered to travel to the wedding location, however; after taking a tour of the facilities, I wanted to have everything done there. You would never guess by looking from the parking lot, but It is very spacious inside. There are separate areas for hair and makeup as well as massage rooms and an area for nails. Great place with talented stylists.

Melissa is awesome! She is very welcoming and is up to date on the latest hair trends. She is very consistent on the way she cuts and always has great ideas as well. The front desk at alter ego is the only reason i wouldn’t give this place 5 stars. They are sometimes rude and never offer water or to take your jacket like most salons. If you’re looking for a new style or a high end stylist I the Peoria area, book with Melissa!

I wanted to get a ton of my hair chopped off after growing it out for my wedding. I went to Sheila Shupp at Alter Ego Spalon. She did a fantastic job cutting my hair! I have fairly curly/​wavy hair and she was able to really cut in great layers.
The products they have are on the higher-​end side. They were all super nice when I went in. But the best part to me was the value! My hair cut was only $ 22, and it was a good women’s cut! I wouldn’t pay that much for my husband’s hair cuts, but for a more difficult cut, I was very pleased with the quality for the price.
I’d tried a few other salons in Peoria, but this is the first one that I plan on returning to twice!

Although in a hard to find location on Brandywine, once you are inside this is a really cute salon. They sell Eminence products which is nice to find as they are pretty exclusive. They also have airbrush tans done by an esthetician and not a machine. A majority of the stylists seem to be edgy without looking crazy (a very fine line!) and I have had great success with the nail tech Jennifer. She really takes her time and does a great job. She finds new ideas on Pinterest and is very interested in keeping up with trends. I get the gel polish from her and it lasts a looooong time. Just as long if not longer than acrylic. Plus her machine that bakes the color on has NO UV in it so you don’t have to worry about that if you are a sun phobic redhead like myself!

Tanya did the keratin smoothing treatment on my hair and I absolutely love it! My hair is much softer, dries very fast and I no longer have to straighten it with a flat iron. I would highly recommend it!
