Went here for lunch with a large group. They were very accommodating, gave us a large extended table setup. We received great service and they managed to get about 25 meals out to us in a reasonable time and at approximately the same time. The food is high quality considering it’s techincally«bar food» and the place has a relaxed, British themed atmosphere.

Great Guinness pour and good temp. For food, we got the fish and chips and Duke of Wellington. The fish was a large piece of Haddock that was flaky and perfect. The beef was cooked well and the bun toasted, which can make or break a sandwich.

A British pub. It’s about as close to the pub experience as were gonna get in central Illinois. As a huge futbol fan, its nice that they play most of the games no matter what time they play. Definitely suggest the Shepard’s pie, a traditional favorite.

I had one of the brisket sandwiches with their horseradish sauce. it was delicious. fries were good and taste fresh. a little pricey, for the amount of beef on the sandwich. sauce could have used more kick. it was busy when I went on a thursday. unbeknownst to me it was trivia night, which may have been the reason for the crowd. the trivia was fun.

Nice I can go to a restaurant that has properly prepared food, priced reasonably, great plate presentation, and excellent service. Had the brisket sandwich, very tender and spiced outside of the norm. Excellent, like buttah!

Great homemade food and good service. Try the curry and chips for a starter. Fish and chips and the brisket were exceptional. The Sargent Pepper soup was incredible!

Came here for dinner Saturday night around 7. Wasn’t too busy. People need to fill this place up cause it’s a nice friendly place where the staff is awesome and makes sure you enjoy your time here.

One of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time. Friendly and knowledge staff. It seemed like there were lots of «regulars» here but the staff treated us just as well as they seemed to be with the familiar faces. I’m guessing that’s why people keep coming back! I really felt valued by the bartender Chris. He asked me what I like and offered some great suggestions and samples based on what I said. That kind of service and attention is rare, especially when it was as busy as it was when I was there. The dickens delight was amazing and I loved the homemade potato salad ! Even the chef was out mingling and saying hi to some of the customers. Will definitely be back!

Love this place! Great beer selection, English breakfast on Saturday mornings along with watching the premier league. Trivia night on Thursdays is a blast too. My favorite place in Peoria!

Brisket nachos — excellent. Tower of London burger — terrific. Fish and chips — definitely worth it. Overall, the experience was really good.

Brisket Nachos. Yes. It’s a bit cozy at the fox but the food is wonderful and the drinks are deliciously foreign.

I tried this place out a few days ago based on Unilocal recommendations. I have to say I was not disappointed. I had a corned beef bap which was delicious. The people were all friendly and there was a local tap takeover going on which made for a nice fun atmosphere. I will definitely be going back. The rest of the food looks great and the prices are reasonable. Lots of cool beers too!

This would have been a 3 star review if it wasn’t for the great craft beer selection. I went with the Beefeater sandwich. A piled high pot roast style pulled beef topped with bbq sauce along with home style cut fries. Overall not a bad meal. We added chips and salsa to start off with that was more than likely jarred salsa. I topped off my meal with a great sour ale from Desthil. Service was prompt tonight. Restaurant was clean and your traditional pub type atmosphere. I’ll be going again for sure.

Excellent local pub and ambience in North Peoria. Great selection of craft beer that rotates along with special tap takeovers. British themed food including a surprisingly good brisket selection, both in appetizer nacho style and main entrée. Cool events and special dinners as well so keep an eye on the website or Facebook page to be in the know.

Service was extremely slow, I’ll only ever order out from there. Brisket sandwich is pretty good

Love the food here. The burgers are great. A slight notch above«typical bar food». They do trivia one night a week, which is fun. Nothing too special but everything they do, they do well.

Found a new local favorite! So.Many.Beers. EIGHT draft choices, four of which change weekly! They offer samplers of 4 choices for I think $ 8 but the bartender was also giving out samples of them at the bar no charge, just to try a sip before you commit. And then an entire page of bottled beers– they even had lambic! There are comfy upholstered chairs to lounge in as you savor your beer choices AND they serve food. The tomato soup is amazing, flavored liberally with gouda cheese. The brisket wasn’t as delicious as I’d hoped, it was tender but needed a lot of horseradish sauce to add flavor. Probably need to go more traditional with shepherds pie next time! Great service, food came out promptly, very nice and clean interior, what else do I need with my beer?!

Having been to The Fox Pub and Café several times now, I can say the good food and really cool atmosphere makes The Fox one of my favorite places to eat in the Peoria area. Many will visit for their wide beverage selection but if you’re like me and don’t drink, you’ll still love the food and atmosphere. Royalty and The Fab Four are included in the British themed décor that is well done and greatly adds to the atmosphere. I have enjoyed the fish and chips and fish bap sandwich for meals and they were well made with hearty portions. My favorite side dish is certainly the Sergeant Peppers Tomato Bisque soup. Tasty flavors make it a must try for anyone dining out at The Fox. As an Arsenal supporter, I’m looking forward to finding a Saturday that works for me to take in a match at The Fox. Can’t think of a better place to enjoy an EPL match in the Peoria area. The Fox Pub and Café is a little off the beaten path in North Peoria, but it is well worth the visit for a great dining experience. 5 stars!

I discovered the Fox during World Cup season this year. Having recently transplanted myself down to Peoria from Chicago, I was almost shocked to discover that there is a place like the Fox, an unashamedly soccer-centric pub that focuses on high-quality beer selections and classic pub fare. Even during the most packed games(I would say USA vs. Germany got pretty sardine-like), the staff can easily stay on top of your drink orders, and the food comes without any problem. Their fish and chips are excellent, and quite different from most places. A lot of fish and chips are lightly fried, with a flour-heavy batter. Here, they fry to a darker crisp, giving a great texture and crunch that works brilliantly with any number of their rotating handles of beer. Bangers and mash is also a solid option, if not the most enlightening dish. Simply put, they’ve got a great variety of beer selections, local and otherwise, and they’ve got the perfect food to go with it.

Bad beer, bad food, bad atmosphere, and bad location. I respect the effort for trying though.
