Lowe’s Home Improvement

Very poor customer service. More worried about closing than helping customers that arrive 4 minutes after closing. Any moron knows that revenue is what is important in a retail setting. Too bad lowes is slow to learn. That is why they cannot overcome home depot. I would advise all people thinking about going to lowes to keep going. You will definitely pay more and get terrible customer service at lowes

I honestly don’t get it. I know customer service is a part of their marketing, so I assume it’s a part of their company culture (or at least that the management makes it a priority). This store, though? Woof.
I was just walking across the front of the store to get to the entrance, and some guy walks out to join his other buddies (all in uniform), making some smart ass comment about how «no one works around here.» I had to stop in my tracks so he wouldn’t run into me. Like, really? I don’t care if you’re on break, you’re a representative of the company. Think about it.
During my in-​store experience, zero associates asked if I needed help, even though I was pretty lost (side note, the app does NOT match the item locations in store at all). I can only assume they were outside shootin’ the shit.
100% of the time, go to the Lowes in North Peoria. They’re in another league.

Worst store ever. I came to look at the appliances. There was only one person talking to a costumer. I push the help button on the appliances department only to have the guy that was helping someone else. He told me someone else will be here shortly but no one came. I waited over 10min with no help to answer my questions about an appliance I was interested in buying. I will take my business elsewhere. I came from Home Depot and they have more staff helping out on the appliance department. I also went to the costumer service and demanded to speak to a manager only to find out that no manager was able to help. The customer service employee gave me a card with the 2 managers of the store. I will call corporate and tell them my experience. Stay away from this lowes especially if you are looking to buy appliances.

Went to this Lowe’s on 84^th av and T-​Bird because my ‘above the oven’ microwave went out. After picking out a new one from GE, the Lowes assistant completed the paperwork and tells me that the installer will be contacting me for an install date. Lowe’s installation company, BSJ Plumbing and Appliance Installs Inc., called and told me that their installer would come out on Friday for the install. Friday rolls around and no installer, no phone call. OK, I know things can happen so I call them Monday morn and they were all apologetic and said that the installer would come out Tuesday morn. So on Tuesday the installer comes out sticks the new unit up in there (I already removed the old micro making it easy for him) and boom done, $ 109. installation fee for about 40 minutes work. Unfortunately, I didn’t check over the installation very carefully before signing off on it and the installer already left (my bad). After getting a step stool to see how he connected the vent on top, I could not believe it. The damper plate that was suppose to attach to the top of the unit was just taped to the bottom of the transition adaptor and just sitting on the top of the unit only half covering the blower motor exhaust opening. Basically the unit was venting into the cabinet. Also, no spacers were used between the top of the unit and the bottom of the recessed cabinet causing some buckling and warping of the microwave case.
In short– I WILL NEVER HAVE LOWE’S INSTALL ANYTHING IN MY HOUSE AGAIN.
I guess if you really do want something done right-​you have to do it yourself.

Lowes in general I have found to be not necessarily the most helpful of home improvement stores and I’m not 100% sure who designed them because it’s really hard for me to find things as they don’t seem to be in the isle I would think… and maybe that is me… the other issue I find is getting someone who knows about what I’m asking about and where it located.
First it’s very hard to find someone… it’s like they have maybe 10 people for the whole story and 3 of them are checking out while 2 — 3 are just standing around talking with themselves and you have trouble finding the other 4 – 5 people… it’s like a Lowes commercial I watched as this lady came in and found the dryer she wanted and picked it up by herself and put it in the cart… I said to my wife at the time… she did that because no one is around to help her… the products are great as long as you know what you want and roughly where it might be that’s great… just not the best experience for me.

Went in to buy shelves, 17 sets. Saw 5 on the floor and had customer service look up and ring me up for the rest. Paid and pulled my truck around. Someone brought them all out to my truck. Very pleased. Great staff willing to help and go above and beyond.

Stay Far Away. .. and I don’t mean the fire!
With two Christmas Lowes Gift cards, I purchased the Allen + Roth Somersville 19.3-in W 40,000-BTU Brown Wicker Design Composite Propane Gas Fire Column (pit).
This item doesn’t work! The control knob must be pushed in to start the propane gas flowing. You can turn it counter-​clockwise to adjust the flame, but as soon as you let go of the knob, it pops back out and gradually extinguishes the flame by stopping the gas flow as if it was turned off.
I waited 25 minutes to get a live person at Allen & Roth customer support, only to be told that I would have to call the manufacturer directly for that kind of technical support. 20 minutes on hold later, I get a moron named «Sophie» who has absolutely no clue on how to solve this problem. She most likely reads her computer screen to suggest a solution: purge the gas line! She simply could not comprehend that if I was able to get a good flame, the propane was getting through just fine. She had no idea of what to do about a defective control knob, so she looks up the part number and offers to send me a replacement. .. which is out-​of-​stock and will be available sometime in January!
After buying a propane tank and extra lava rocks (because Allen & Roth are cheap with providing an inexpensive bag of rocks), I returned this rather heavy item back to Lowes. They had another one on display, which I had hopes of exchanging for it, but when I reported that it was also broken, their apathetic manager said they sold plenty of them this holiday season with no returns! Furthermore, he made no effort to remove the additional Fire Column. I’ll bet the will both be still on display for sale (even though they are both broken) by tomorrow.
This was purchased with two Lowes gift cards as a Christmas present. These people know how to take the «S» out of «Christmas Spirit!»
I’m sticking with Home Depot and will use my gift cards online.

Horrible expirence on Black Friday! First off I had to use the restroom I go inside and there’s blood on the walls & sink! Gross! Second it took 30 min just to pay cause there systems weren’t showing the Black Friday deals they were advertising. Overall I would never go there again!

We just bought our new house and the kitchen needed to be totally redone. We went to Lowes and spoke with Wade, he took us through every step and suggested the best products with us. We hired them to do the kitchen. We got the cabinets (They ARE beautiful) and Chris (our contractor from Lowes) will be here tomorrow to remove the old cabinets and install the new new ones. Then we receive our new appliances and get the counter tops, sink and back splash done. So excited. Lowes may or may not be the lowest priced but their customer service is the BEST, bar none and doing such a big job, having excellent customer service IS worth it:):)

**Yelp completed the address as «Peoria, IL» and it is for Peoria, AZ (same street# & phone#. It’s the one on Thunderbird off the 101)*.the employees and store director in this location are enough to keep you from shopping here. worked w/​flooring dept & management and was told an item would be ordered, it wasn’t. ball was dropped several times. they did not know what they were doing. when the person that works in the flooring dept does not know how many sq feet are in a yard, there is a problem… and when i had to chase down the manager to get assistance, for over a week, nothing was resolved as it was promised. in addition, no one offered a solution or to get me a similar product to accomodate my needs. this is the 2^nd time i’ve had an issue with this location. i’m going back to home depot. by the way, jason is the name of the «store director» at this location — don’t waste your time expecting him to be a manager– i had to end up calling the corporate office to file a complaint. go to home depot or another company instead. *Update: the corporate office never returned my call either!*

We had our new Stainmaster carpet ordered and installed from this Lowes since it is right next to our new (and first) house. The whole process was simple and relatively quick! They had a free installation deal going on at the time which sold us on purchasing the carpet.
We removed the old carpet that had smoke smell and burn holes embedded in it ourselves and had someone from Lowes to come and measure. It was quick and he explained how they’d do the install; and also answered some other questions we had about removing the smoke smell from the old home-​owners.
Installation was pretty fast, the installers were polite, and our carpet looks amazing in our two bedrooms! We are going to do laminate or wood flooring in the rest of our home and plan to use this Lowes again.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I spent 2 grand on appliances that were supposed to be delivered 5 days ago (Tuesday). After calling EVERY day this week, they were finally delivered last night (Saturday). They were supposed to be delivered first thing in the morning & they didn’t show up until after 5pm. I bought a full kitchen appliance package. When they finally delivered them, the oven was broke. I called & spoke to 2 assistant managers who just wanted to argue w me & make me REGRET spending that kind of money there. I will NEVER spend another CENT in any of their stores.

I’m usually a Home Depot customer but this Lowe’s was convenient so I thought I’d check them out. I’m glad I did. They had a much better selection of quality choices than what I’m used to at Home Depot. It wasn’t crowded and just felt nicer. I had a few questions and the staff were great helping me out. I’m starting a remodeling project and will definitely be back.

I recently purchased several bags of mulch and on that particular day the registers weren’t working correctly. They called for assistance to correct the problem, Rather than guiding me to another register they made me wait at least 15 – 20 minutes, while they tired to figure things out. Not once did the lady offer an apologize or recognize that I even existed. Her back was to me the entire time. Finally, the registers came alive, after I made the remark, that they didn’t get my high review did she make any comment, and then it was contrite and down right bitchy. I was furious. This is no way to be treated especially when I spent nearly $ 200.00. I did call the store manager on The way home because I was so angry, although I feel nothing became of this. Customer Service has gone to the dogs and perhaps if people were more considerate of others, maybe there would be less anger and more compassion.

I really was impressed with this location, lots of selection, helpful staff, what more can you ask

How is it that there were no other reviews for this Lowes? It has been here forever. Anyways, I always enjoy coming to this location much more than the one closer to my house. The selection and availability just seems to be better than the Lowes in Surprise.
I continually find the service help at Lowes to be rather gruff compared to Home Depot, but I will take the prices and selection of Lowes over Home Depot any day.
