Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse of N Peoria

I am not a happy camper at the moment. Yesterday, while picking up some items at Lowe’s I saw a stack of sale umbrellas, sign said ‘while they lasted’. Went back today w/​my husband to get one & they are back to regular price. Lowe’s employee told us it was a daily deal & the sale price was no longer available.
If they had displayed a daily deal sign I would have bought yesterday. If they had been sold out I wouldn’t be bothered. Instead, I just feel tricked somehow. Maybe there was another sign indicating it was a daily deal somewhere but I can’t believe I would miss that.
I think we are good Lowe’s customers. We’ve recently retired to a home nearby and are doing upgrades, landscaping, installed a garden, bought a shed, bought all my wooden blinds, etc. from this store. Heck, we joke my husband isn’t done for the day until he’s made two trips to Lowe’s.
This has really put me off shopping there.

I stopped into this Lowe’s to look for cabinet pulls and knobs. As I walked through the store, I saw a beautiful black stainless refrigerator. When I showed interest in it, Scott Bryan approached me and answered all my questions. He then told me they had the same refrigerator marked down because it was a «scratch and dent». We walked to the discount area and I observed damage mostly on the center freezer door. Not only was this fridge marked at almost half off, but Scott proceeded to tell me they had a middle replacement door that I could have for free! Once the damaged door was replaced there would be almost no visible damage. I bought the fridge and Lowe’s delivered the following week.
Couldn’t be more happy with the purchase and was especially grateful for the customer service and honesty I received from Scott. Will definitely be back.

I used to be a die hard Home Depot customer, but we recently moved to this area and now I don’t shop anywhere else but this Lowes! It wasn’t just the location that made me switch, cause truth be told, even at first, I would drive further just to go to a Home Depot. This Lowes has a larger quantity of materials to pick from and have gotten some really good customer service. I recommend this location for anyone looking for general building materials and DYI stuff.

Spoke to Amy in the Pro-​Service Department who was courteous, pleasant and knowledgeable in providing us with a list of Handymen to repair our broken shower door. We’ve always done well with Lowe’s and will continue shopping the Lake Pleasant store for all our household needs. Thank you, Amy… you represent Lowe’s in a very positive manner.

Amazing customer service and such a clean store. Home Depot seems like a dump compared to these guys. Will be taking all of our business here from now on. Home Depot employees could care less and make us feel like we r bothering them with questions.

I’ve got to tell you, everyone at this store is great. I’ve been going there for over a year now and although there have been some ‘bumps’, these people (staff) are great. How they work with some of the difficult customers at times is mind blowing — they remain polite and professional. I have purchased a lot and returned my share and never have had a problem. I have seen them accept returns from people that have completely abused the item being returned, that probably was purchased many months before and they return it anyway. Me personally, I would have told them «NO WAY»! But they do it anyway. People who complain about this store are usually the problem to begin with. You want to see mismanagement and a lack of customer service, go over to Home Depot. It’s like a sign that reads ‘We Don’t like You, Go Away’. This Lowe’s store is not perfect but, who is! Regardless, it’s a friendly store that is well managed and staffed with good people who like their jobs and care about their customers.

Was not impressed with Bob in Kitchen Cabinets Department. He could have cared less about us.
On the other hand the gentleman that was in Bathroom Fixtures was extremely helpful and took the time to explain his thoughts and ideas on what we planned to do, for that reason I will come back. I wish I had gotten his name.
I think they really need to work on Customer Service, Home Depot has them beat in all aspects when it comes to CS.

Been here a few times and have had excellent customer service so far. Was in the other day picking some things up for a friend and had no clue what I was looking for. I spoke to a gentleman named Robert who was extremely helpful in helping me find a the hose timer thingy I was sent in for and answered a bunch of questions. And to Ms. Martha who checked me out… Yes I know you saw me write your name and Roberts name down on my receipt but it was only to give you and Robert kudos for being helpful and friendly. Keep it up! I am sure my clueless self will be in again needing your assistance. Until then!

Can you go lower? We knew what we wanted and even then couldn’t find anyone that WOULD help us. Finally found a manager and he was no better help than the clerks. He didn’t seem to care rather we walked out or not. Home Depot, we are on the way.

Vivian at customer service was pointless! Uses phrases like ‘it’s policy’ and when I pointed out that the lowes at bell and grand (which I love) would have exchanged my item (this one was $ 15.98) Vivian folded her hands in front of her and said ‘we follow policy here’!!! It wasn’t until I reacted to the word ‘policy’ — Vivian said that she’s worked there for 8yrs. She said that she was going to call a mgr or someone to help do the refund (which she only said after I asked for her name) Vivian also engaged with a frustrated customer and said that I kept cutting her off– I was done! Done. I left a shopping cart of $ 260 sitting there because Vivian would not handle an exchange of $ 15.98.

GREAT Customer service all around! Home Depot SUCKS!

Every employee was exceedingly helpful and the store was clean, organized and exceeded my expectations. A++++ will return to this location!!!

I used to buy everything from Lowes. Salt, filters, water heater, even got a $ 3500 french back door from them (which they also screwed up btw, but the contractor and myself managed to salvage the project with some artistic trim after a week of fighting with Lowes). Ordered carpet and pad for 3 rooms last month. Paid for their contractor to come out an measure. Went back to Lowes to pay, and asked them if they are sure they got enough carpet for 3 rooms. They said yes. Contractor called to schedule the installation apt, and I asked them if they are sure they have all the carpet they need for the 3 rooms, again yes. Installers show up, and they only have enough for 2 rooms… maybe. I went and took my own measurements, turns out the contractor was over-​estimating the room size by 50%, and trying to charge me for it. ie, I had a 9.5′ x 13′ room. I understand they come in 12′ rolls. Even at 12×13 its only 156 sq. ft. They were trying to charge me for 240 sq. ft. Complained to management at Lowes, they didnt want to hear it, and didnt seem to care. Got my money back without much of a fight, and since its their contractors ripping people off, I bumped them a Star. Yes, they are usually helpful, and knowledgeable, but that doesnt excuse ripping people off. Went across the street to HomeDepot, and was assured they dont do this. No problems with them. Im going back to Home Depot for my contractor work. Buyer beware if you buy anything that isnt on Lowes shelves and requires contract work.

Thank you Mark in Lumber for all your help and cutting the composite material for me. Now my side gate is complete and gorgeous! The employees here are very helpful and cheerful. They are quick to inquire if you need any help. :)

The reviews do not lie. Every time we walk into this Lowes we are greeted and ALWAYS asked if we need any help. There is a Home Depot right across the street that we have given a chance a few times. They just don’t compare to the great customer service right across the street at Lowes. We have a filter for our fridge that we HAVE to get at Home Depot because Lowes does not sell it, but rest assured that is the only reason why we will ever go to Home Depot again. Lowes is our place!

I have been here alot more times than my check-​in reflect. I think Lowes is more go-​to for home improvement.
This particular Lowes is always well stocked and the staff is super friendly. One of my recent purchases include a new sliding shower door for the kiddos bathroom. Of course I had illusions of grandeur on how ‘me’ installing a shower door would come out — a few extra parts and lots of caulk later, the kids will no longer be getting their bathroom floor wet. Yeah for me!

The most helpful, friendly home improvement store I’ve been to. I highly recommend going to this Lowes!

I know my way around the place and customer service is great! The store is always clean, even the restrooms. This is important since I have a 3 year old with a bladder the size of a jelly bean!
Mostly shopping in the garden department… not much else to say.
I like it, so there.

Lowes is so much nicer than Home Depot, customer service always seems better too. I think it’s annoying that Home Depot always builds a location near Lowes in an effort to put them out of business, they have done this at Thunderbird & I-​17 and this location as well. Most of Lowes products are usually better, I found this out with garden hoses. I bought a high end commercial grade hose from each store & Lowes carries this great black, non-​kink hose that is awesome. I ended up throwing the one from home depot out since it was junk. I have also noticed on a few items that Home Depot is slightly higher on prices. My favorite thing about Lowes though is the fact that it’s always easier to find someone to help you.
