I love their cosmetic department, however, my son and I were followed around by staff while my husband(different race than my son and I) was treated with the upmost respect and had all of his needs met. It doesn’t surprise me that these things happen in this day and age because ignorance doesn’t have an expiration date, but it does sadden me. I don’t think that I will return to this location.

This macys is run down garbage. Most all of their staff is clueless. They should have been let go 30 years ago. The median staff age is 85. They’re grumpy and rude. The store is always a mess. They don’t carry most of the brands Macys should carry… it’s just a terrible store. I can’t wait for it to close and they put something else in. Hopefully the new store won’t retain this wretched staff

I was out of town and I needed a few things from Macy’s. This hurts to say this but this is the worst store I have ever been in. I had to search to find someone to wait on me, and then when they did she was not friendly. Sorry Peoria Macys you have some work to do.

Considering they pay help miminum wage or slightly better, and have a customer centric policy of taking all returns no matter what, and measure employee performance by customer surveys which can be very subjective and therefore useless, the store does a good job.

I do like Macy’s, but this location is terrible. Their clothing options are from the last decade. The only thing that’s current about this store is the cosmetic department, which includes a Sunglass Hut. The store is also poorly, understaffed, and when they do have their holiday staff they are not adequately trained and uniformed.

I’s a Macys, so, whatever you expect. Just avoid asking questions in the kitchen department during a sale — those women are crabby and cannot be interrupted.
