I came in a seemingly busy restaurant, but was seated immediately with a nice table by a friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere and surroundings. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and it did meet its exceptional expectations. Tasted great, and was loaded with a large waffle, two chicken tenders, 4 – 5 pieces of bacon, and a nice side of country gravy. For $ 14(a bit pricey) but filled me up good. Will come again.

Great place for basics plus. It has a menu of varied cuisines. I find they do standard American best, but I’ve never had something bad here.

Very good food at a decent price. Has all the ambiance of a café near a college campus. Great service as well.

So the food remains tasty but there is a long and serious lull in customer service going on that is really disappointing. We had a server who was really rude and ignored us for a majority of the time we were seated. We had to wave him down for every single thing we needed. He had this thing where we would say we needed water refills so he would get the pitcher and then walk around to all the tables around us, refilling their waters and then coming to us last. Every time we asked for another drink, it would elicit a huge sigh like us running up the bill we would be tipping on was physically hurting him. Totally time for that guy to find a new job. It didn’t help that he was pouring sweat, yuck. Stopped in again to have a drink at the bar and the guy back there blew out a tap all over our friend. He just stood there and said sorry. I had to grab bar napkins to help her clean herself up while he got a bar rag and wiped the counter. Do you think she got a free drink or anything from being sprayed down with a hipster beer? Haha, not at the House of No Customer Service. I need to give this place a break for awhile so they can fire some of these jokers.

Really amazing pizza, great burgers, and an insanely awesome dessert case(need to get a dessert next time!). This place is great for gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, and normal diets. Get the Cubano pizza, it is the most unique pizza I’ve ever had. Only down a star because they did ask us to leave after eating. We had only been there 1.5 hours. The manager was very polite about it, but you really shouldn’t be asking people to leave when we had barely been there any time at all.

I LOVED this place! I wasn’t too thrilled about eating in Peoria while visiting Bradley University. I’m a food snob, I know it. Anyway, I always avoid the chains on these visits, but there are usually slim pickings. I had looked up a few places here and then someone from the University told us to visit here. We had a great time. The menu is so diverse, there are so many choices even for a «problem» child like me! I have a few food allergies, so there are usually slim pickings. Not here! They even had gluten free bakery products and I had to hold myself back from the giant chocolate cookie they offered. I had the santa fe chicken wrap deconstructed(for the food allergies) and they were VERY accomodating. Hubby and son #3 had a pizza which is kind of risky being from Chicagoland, but they really enjoyed it. This place just has a great, relaxed atmostphere. All the employees seemed just as happy to be there as the patrons. I made sure the manager, Phillip, knew how much we enjoyed our visit. I’m not sure if son #3 will end up at Bradley, but at least I know of one good dining spot there if I go back again.

This place is truly a unique dinning experience in Peoria. The food is excellent. My top picks definitely include the pizza, spinach and artichoke dip, and bacon cheese fries. The drinks are awesome too. The Red sangria is a must! Super friendly and knowledgable staff. Clean restaurant, very welcoming. They are doing it right at One world Café! Highly recommended!

Solid 4 stars… We began frequenting this joint and take all our visitors here when in town. Start out with the hummus, and don’t blame me if you act a fool and lick the plate! We usually split a sandwich and salad, and the Cuban is our favorite. It is served with thin crispy fries and a spicy sauce. Our only disappointing visit was ordering a pizza, but friends of ours enjoyed it. Many alcoholic concoctions are available and an eclectic beer selection is always present. There is a display case filled with local made desserts, though we have never had enough stomach to try them. Prices are in line with expectation and ambiance is hippy frat house meets renovated diner. Staff is always friendly college kids… this joint makes the list!

Who doesn’t want to go to brunch at a place called«One World»? The name definitely suits this spot. Why? –The staff seems to be really open and friendly. Did you know Richard Pryor was from Peoria, IL? Now you do — thanks to the helpful tidbit I learned from my One World server yesterday. –The menu itself encompasses Americanized versions of Greek, Italian(really good pizza selection), Mexican(Chorizo breakfast scramble is on point), and some Asian cuisine in addition to the traditional American diner staples. The Elvis Waffle is one of the most glorious combinations of Bananas, Peanut Butter, and Bacon I’ve ever experienced — bring your insulin. I’ve also heard the hummus is top notch. –Surprisingly good beverage selection. Really really good coffee and a variety of lattes, frappes, etc. They also have a nice selection of craft beers and cocktails(including bloody mary’s and mimosas for brunch). Good vibes all around. This is the place to go in Peoria for brunch.

My fiancé and I were visiting Bradley, her Alma-matter, for a sorority reunion. She insisted that One World Café was a Bradley staple and that we HAD to visit it during our stay. We were immediately seated, despite the fact it was rather busy. The atmosphere was friendly and clean. Our waitress was friendly, prompt, and attentive. She ensured that our experience was positive. I was assured that the hummus was a must-try dish. We ordered the hummus based on this recommendation. I must say, it was quite good! It lived up to the high expectations set for it. The hummus was fresh, as was the pita that accompanied it. They have a wide variety of dishes, and the quality seems consistently good. This is a solid spot worthy of a try.

One world café is highly reviewed by Unilocal in Peoria and that is why I decided to stop there on my way to Iowa City. I went there for lunch but they have interesting choices for breakfast and dinner as well. The ambiance is hipster with some quirky posters and pictures on the wall. They sell some merchandise as well for fans! I went there around 1PM on Sunday and they were almost full. I ordered hot tea, which was nothing special. I had their Hungarian stuffed peppers with house salad and ranch dressing. I must say that was a delicious experience. I enjoyed the house salad and Hungarian stuffed peppers. I would have enjoyed more if it was paired with some bread but overall very nice dish. It has a unique taste which is hard to describe but a must try if you are looking for a vegetarian option. Overall it a little expensive but definitely one of the best vegetarian selection on I-76.

One World is one of my absolute favorite spots to stop at when I’m back home visiting my family. I make it a point to eat, drink coffee, read, or write there at least once every time I visit. What really sets One World apart from other restaurants in the area(besides the outstanding food) is the atmosphere — this is truly a place that values its community. The walls are covered with murals and artwork, and it’s always bustling with college students, families, and people stopping for a quick drink or bite. As for menu must-tries, I’d say a couple of my favorites are the Thai Noodle Salad and the Portabella Brioche, but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The best part(for me) about the menu is that a good majority of the items can be made gluten-free! Everything from the sandwiches to the pizzas(which also are to die for). Now, back to my favorites: the Thai Noodle Salad is a fresh blend of traditional Thai ingredients — basil, peanut sauce, bean sprouts — and is a really filling meal. The Portabella Brioche(on gluten-free bread) is a really delectable blend of flavors — bleu cheese, their Russian dressing, and the marinated Portabella cap make for a really rich and satisfying lunch or dinner. I love ordering their lattes, too. Last time I went, they served my latte in a beer stein, which I thought added some character. The service has been pleasant in my experience, but they do tend to be pretty busy so it can be tough to catch your waiter sometimes. If you’re looking for a place that serves great food, or are even just looking for your next coffee hangout spot, One World is definitely worth trying.

Have always had fantastic service here! Food is delicious and there is lots to choose from. It does feel like the restaurant is trying to accommodate to everyone, so the menu is a little daunting and overwhelming. Good choices of vegan, GF and organic. The staff is nice and knowledgeable, which is a pleasant change from many establishments that normally cater to a college crowd, as I’m sure they are frequently stiffed on tips or have to deal with unruly clientele.

I’m giving four stars, because it’s been over a year since I’ve been at One World Café and my memory is not that great. I can’t be specific on what I got or what my wife got, but all I remember is that we enjoyed the atmosphere and enjoyed the food enough that had we gotten married in Peoria, we would have had One World Café cater. I can’t wait to go back to Peoria just for One World Café.

I go to school at Bradley and frequent One World because it’s so close to campus. The atmosphere is eccentric because it has so many unique pieces of artwork on the walls. One of my favorite things to order is the adult Mac & cheese. It’s creamy and you get to pick from 5 different add in options. Another thing that I enjoy is the peasant French toast. It comes in a banana boat ceramic bowl with plenty of powdered sugar and syrup. I recommend sharing this because it is sweet and filling. The service can be slow at times, especially when it’s a large group. I came her with one of my friends and our food came out quick. Another time I came with 5 or 6 people and it took 25 minutes for our order to come out.

Great place for lunch or dinner. Fun atmosphere. Service can be slow, but the food is very tasty. My favorite is the Falafel Salad. Coffee is not as good as it used to be. Their iced tea is good. Parking is in the lot behind the building. Arrive by 11:30am if coming for lunch. Parking fills up quickly.

Food was FANTASTIC! I was quite surprised as well, as the look and feel of the website and menu don’t look special. I ordered to go and got the hummus and the shrimp entrée. Flavoring was great in both and I can’t wait to go back! Only thing– the woman checking me out when I picked up my food was quite rude. I hope this doesn’t reflect on all the employees there for next time…

We came in at 2 pm expecting it to be an off time and it wouldn’t be very busy. We were right but that didn’t stop our server from taking more than 5 minutes to even acknowledge us. Or from not checking on us after delivering our food(drink refills would have been nice). The food was fantastic though. The chicken and waffles and the Elvis were soooo good. That peanut butter cream is to die for and the waffles were airy on the inside and crispy on the outside. My kids had no complaints about the quesadilla or eggs and bacon either. Couple of words of caution though — the yogurt that comes as a side for the kids meals is plain. Not vanilla. Not sweetened. My daughter wouldn’t eat it. Also, if your kids ask for cherry Pepsi, the waitress will tell you that it’s made with grenadine but will not tell you it’s a dollar extra.
