Dinner was okay, the service wasn’t great. I hate to rate this 3 stars, but 4 isn’t quite right either. I’d rate it 3.5 if I could. The location is beautiful. The décor is modern, nice chairs, etc. Yes, this is in a hotel lobby, but it’s pretty quiet and still somewhat private. The food was okay. It wasn’t great but it wasn’t horrible either. I got a crab roll. I saw some sushi on a table as we walked in and it looked beautiful. Indeed, it was pretty to look at but the roll was SO huge that it was difficult to fit in my mouth and it was ridiculous to handle. The taste was good but please, make it a bit smaller and easier to eat so I don’t embarrass myself trying to fit the piece of sushi in my mouth. The salads were good, probably the best part of the meal. The caesar was delicious but I did find two pieces of pretty brown lettuce, that’s easy enough to pick around. My table mates had a wedge salad and another had the pear and goat cheese-that one had some unexpected surprises like cranberries and figs(not listed on the menu). They were all good. The prime rib was cooked to the correct temperature, decent flavor. The side of brussel sprouts were good at first, but unfinishable because of the super sweetness of the very, very, thick syrup on the bottom of the pan they come in. All you could taste was sugar and it drowned the brussel sprouts and made them soggy. The top ones were great and crispy though. My biggest issue was the service. We waited and waited and waited to have our drink orders taken. We waited and waited and waited to have our dinner orders taken. Our drinks weren’t refilled without asking(sodas, we weren’t guzzling wine or anything). Our server seemed annoyed. Maybe it was a bad night, but it’s not like it was busy. I don’t know… I felt like I was bothering her. From someplace that looks so upscale, I expected the service to be better.

Went here to celebrate my birthday in October and it was somewhat disappointing. Not what I was expecting at all. They claim to be farm to table but clearly they are not by the look of the pale white strawberries served on our dessert. I had the scallops and they were just OK. Barely seared and looked soaked in oil and not pan seared at all. Not worth the price. The atmosphere is beautiful but it didn’t make my dining experience any better. Service was just OK. Didn’t really run out of anything but she was just bland and seemed to just go through the motions. Probably won’t ever go back.

Apparently I’m a glutton for punishment! Nothing has changed in this beautiful location in terms of service or food which is one of the biggest crimes in Peoria(and we have a lot!). Decided to give breakfast a try and was told they just had the brunch buffet for $ 17 or their lunch menu available. We decided to go for the buffet, thinking it would be the quicker of the two options. We ordered mimosas and then went up to the buffet. It was pretty old already despite it sounding like it had just started. One single slice of bacon remained and none was ever replenished *tear* but there was tons of sausage, silver dollar pancakes, scrambled eggs, tater tots, beef stroganoff and carrots. There was also a yogurt, granola & fruit section and an oatmeal section. I ordered a fresh made omelet and got some pancakes and sausage in the meantime. My date got eggs, sausage and tots. We got back to our table and still not mimosas nor any water. My date couldn’t even finish the eggs they were so bad and the pancakes were pretty rubbery. Everything could’ve been about 20 degrees hotter. We finished those plates, still nothing to drink. We flagged another waiter to ask for water. My omelet came, my date went back for more punishment, I mean food. The omelet was delicious, hot fresh with tasty ingredients. My date returns with his second plate and the mimosas FINALLY appear. I guess the OJ was fresh squeezed by hand which is good since the glass was 90% OJ. The waitress picked up our plates one more time and brought the check, $ 60 for two buffets and two mimosas so that was an extremely expensive mistake! She never came back for the check and we were over ready to make our final exit from this disaster so we had to go find her. I think she was the only bartender for the restaurant but then why was she also serving?! Seriously some of the worst tasting food and service I’ve ever had. You will get better treatment at Golden Corral. Why is this place such a waste!!!

Just ate here last night while in town fin business. I know it is a hotel restaurant but it was one of the few places I town that had something other than steak, burgers, and pizza. The place was pretty empty on a Monday at 6pm but that is expected. Now the review. I ordered the shrimp and grits with a side of Brussels sprouts. The shrimp and grits were on par. The sprouts started off okay but as I got further to the bottom there was some sort of honey or syrup at the bottom – not that it was terrible but I don’t remember reading that in the description. Overall, pretty good given the small town and the fact it is in a hotel – which is why it is a little pricey.

The ambiance and service were both excellent. They were able to accommodate our party of 9 at 2pm when they generally close, and were able to provide food from the dinner menu although they weren’t yet prepared for dinner. Since we arrived at 2pm, we were really the only patrons in the restaurant, so we had a waitress AND beverage staff all to ourselves, and therefore service was top notch for us. However, the meal was just OK. I will start by saying the water was definitely bottled, as it did not have that usual, awful Peoria taste. However, the fountain drinks water source was definitely tap, as the Pepsi tasted like no cola I’ve ever had. After 1 Pepsi, I opted for the water for the rest of my meal. The deviled eggs, bone in wings and entrées were all less than what I would expect from this restaurant. I would say the food was sub par. I had the smothered pork chops which were not smothered at all. They were fried, and VERY dry and some sort of compote on the top. The green beans were overcooked and the mashed potatoes were bland. Other family members had meatloaf and French dip. There were no glowing comments during dinner about how fabulous anything tasted. Comments after dinner revealed that we all shared the same opinion… it was just ok. There were compliments about the bathrooms, just so you know we did notice the good things. The price wasn’t as high as it could be given the atmosphere and location, but after tasting the food, I would have complained had it been any higher. They should re-evaluate their menu offerings and, as someone mentioned in another review, taste their own food. I would say the food was probably in line with hospital PATIENT food(cafeteria food is generally better than patient food). I would go here again for the bar or sandwiches, but not a place I’d recommend at all for dinner a special occasion.

Two stars because the Manhattan was good. The food is lack luster. I started with the french onion soup, the bowl was little more than a demitasse cup. The soup itself was salty, and didn’t have many onions in it. For an entrée I had the filet. It was cooked properly temperature wise to medium rare, but it must of been sous vide cooking, there were light grill marks on the steak but there was no real char. I had sauteed spinach which was over salted, and the brussel sprouts, which were oddly sweet, something I’d like to know when ordering a charred vegetable.

Nice atmosphere. Went again and this time they had no dessert offerings on their buffet and much less of a selection. So disappointing because we raved and took guests then they barely ate because the selection was so minimal.

1. It’s Peoria IL 2. It is a higher end Marriott property The menu at first gives you very good vibes and some excitement right off the bat. Being a summer night and looking to start a business trip off healthy I went for the Miso Soup, Asparagus Salad and the Seared Tuna. Miso Soup — take it off the menu. It’s tasteless, the form doesn’t work for the bowl and whatever flavor that are there don’t meld weld together at all. Asparagus Salad — potential is the main word here. The asparagus itself was very fresh and tender but again the chef was afraid to add some flavor… Even a bit of salt. Throw some of that Meyer Lemon and some salt on top and you have a great fresh summer dish. Seared Tuna — best thing I had. Not afraid to add some flavored sauce and salt! I’ve had tuna a hundred times and thus was a 7.5 out of 10. Service — good but if the dinner hours say 5pm and I’m eating at the bar, please don’t perform the orange juicing or floor mopping during my meal. I think the chef needs to make all of his dishes and taste them again. The space speaks higher end but the menu turned out to be an ‘almost’ type of experience. Pricing correlates to the space but the food needs to catch up.

I was seated very quickly and immediately approached by my waitress about my drink request. She was super friendly and ready to serve. I ordered the soup of the day — butternut squash — and it was amazing! I highly recommend it! For dinner I was torn between the shrimp and grits or salmon or chicken Caesar salad. I decided to go with the salad as I wasn’t starving. The chicken on my salad was clearly freshly prepared and the salad was well-dressed. It was delicious! Hit the spot. The dessert menu is verbal as it changes daily. Today’s featured ice cream sandwiches, chocolate decadence cake, carrot cake, and a few others. I decided to go with the key lime pie. The key lime was just the right amount of tart. All in all this was a good meal for a late dinner.

This is third time eating here, and third time I’m told that they ran out of entrée that we ordered. Shouldn’t the waitress know what’s in stock before taking orders??? Though food is usually good, they could definitely work on their service.

Visiting from out of town and found this farm to table restaurant and loved it. Charred Brussel sprouts and cauliflower were out of this world! Heirloom tomato salad was good could def taste the freshness. Pretty simple salad though Didn’t have time to eat a whole meal but I am sure to be back next time I’m in Peoria! Love farm to table and you can taste the freshness! Also eat mostly vegetarian diet and found many options here!

Table 19 is one of the very few ethical and sustainable focused restaurants in Peoria. The menu has a wide selection with seasonal entrees and a range of prices. Love the Brussels Sprouts and the Burger is totally solid. Bonus points for having Stone Brewing Co. IPA on tap! This Craft Beer girl loves to see a major chain hotel offer a true«craft» beer. The prices are reasonable, especially for a hotel restaurant. There are multiple entrees under $ 20 and some higher if you are in the mood for a good steak. Last but not least I find the staff to be very friendly and attentive. Kudos to Amanda, one of bartenders. I appreciate a server that offers menu suggestions and she had some great feedback when I asked for her opinion.

I previously posted an excellent review. Have since visited twice only to have horrible meals each time. Ordered burger and it was raw, chicken sandwich tasted like fish. Couldn’t eat the burger and sent the chicken back. Hopefully they get their act together. I’ve stopped eating here after two failed meals.

Seems like it could be a great place. Dinner and appetizer choices one the menu sounded good. Even had a few unique items. Unfortunately they seemed to fail in overall execution. We tried to make a reservation on line, but the site said they were booked the whole month. When we called they said they had plenty of openings, somthing was wrong with the web site. How does something like that go un noticed? That will cost you a lot of buisness. So we made a reservation by phone. We arrive a week later to find out they did not have our reservation. Fortunately that was not a problem since we were the only ones there. Seems odd they were empty at 6pm on a Saturday, but then again their web page said they were booked all month and the lady taking reservations by phone seems to loose them. Even though all other tables were empty, it still took 20 min for them to get a table ready and figure out where to seat us. After being seated we got to meet our server. She was very nice and did a wonderful job. We odered some cocktails that were awesome. Then we placed our orders. 1hr later we finally got our food. Place was still empty, so not sure why the wait? I ordered the duck, which was overcooked and dry. But it did looked good, and the glaze was very good. If they cooked it right I’m sure it would have been great. Also had a side of pickled rhubarb that was really good. Excluding drinks, our bill still seemed high for what we got. We definitely won’t be coming back. For that price I could go to many other restaurants who have better food and service. Overall The place looks great. Great drinks. Good dinner and appetizer option They need to work on : Making and keeping reservation Speeding up service Cook food properly Lower the prices

The initial impression was not great. The hostess’ demeanor did not match restaurant’s reputation. She was gruff and messy. The ambiance of the place is no different than any of the dozens of hotel restaurants I have dined in during my travels. Our server was Jessica. She is awesome. I appreciate that she was honest about what she had tried and didn’t just recommend something because the chef said to. Apps: Calamari. Light breading. Mild dipping sauce. Our only complaint was that they fried lemons instead of letting us squeeze the juice onto the dish. Dinner: We both had steaks. I had the NY strip and she had the skirt steak. Our 4 sides were the Mac n cheese, yucca fries, asparagus, and Brussel sprouts. The only one we were disappointed in was the yucca. It really didn’t have any flavor. Then other three were great with the sprouts being our favorite. The kitchen messed up our steak orders. My wife ordered medium and I ordered medium rare. Her steak was defiantly medium rare. They brought her a new steak in less than 10 minutes and boxed up the«mistake» for us to take home. The char crust is excellent. Cost: $ 114. Not too bad for a bottle of wine, appetizer, and 2 steaks. We had $ 50 certificate which brought the bill down to $ 64. Overall: Good. We will come back. As far as downtown Peoria restaurants, this wasn’t as good as Two25 but the food and the service(Jessica) were very good. The chef came out twice. He even gave us the recipe for the lavash which we loved.

We are here in a hurry during our stay in the Pere Marquette Hotel for lunch. It seemed to be staffed lightly, which is fine but we had to wait for a few minutes to be noticed and then ask to be seated. I have a gluten allergy and when I asked if a few things were safe, the server’s answer was an abrupt no. I’m not sure she knew or wanted to bother asking. Fine, I’m used to it. My husband ordered a salad and I got a burger with no bun. The food was ok, and that’s being kind. Then the bill was almost $ 50. We only had tea and coffee with our meal. Way overpriced. They’ve completely redone the place and it’s very modern and upscale feeling. I enjoyed that but the service felt like I was at Denny’s.

Table 19 is an oasis. Located downtown in the newly reopened Pere Marquette, it is more than just a hotel restaurant. The décor is upscale without being ostentatious or gaudy. It is just past the hotel bar, which in itself looks like a destination(and will be soon). The servers were attentive and polite. The menu is small, so hopefully they will change it seasonally. Their signature cocktails were good, just slight variations on established drinks. The calamari app was good, just a little small(not enough rings). Our entrees were delicious. Desert was also worth eating after being full. Too much too drink, too much to eat? Stay at the Marquette. Valet parking will make the dinner truly feel first class. Eat at Table 19. Stay at PM. Maybe enjoy the bar for drinks and small plates.
