Saddle Up

They have a rude door man who won’t let people in without paying the cover charge even if you tell them that you’re part of a bachelor party and you’re the designated driver who doesn’t have any cash. He let me stand outside forever because my phone had died and I couldn’t get a hold of my friends to let me in. I told him that I was going to offer people drinks as part of the party but he was being a jerk over $ 5. Incompetent servers who let you sit there with an empty beer for 20 minutes and just keep walking past you when you’re holding out an empty bottle and trying to wave them down with only 15 people in the bar. Not worth a $ 5 cover charge and it’s sad because they lost out on so much money since I was with a BACHELOR PARTY. I reviewed the place on Facebook and the owner has since blocked me, made fun of my home town, and disabled my ability to defend myself from other reviewers commenting on my post.

Great place. Big town feel in Peoria. Drinks are reasonably priced. Great crowd. I was there on Saturday night next to the couple that just gave a one star review so I felt compelled to tell the truth. We were all sitting on the saddle stools. The couple wanted free drinks or they were going to give a one star review. They told the bartender that they worked for Unilocal.The bar was busy. I waited too for drinks. But maybe a few minutes. I order my shots chilled all the time. Chilled shots mean shaken over ice so I expect a little ice in it. I think the owner/​manager runs the bull. He doesn’t ride the bull. I had a great time. I will be back. Always two sides to every story.

Love this bar!!! By far my favorite place! They have a mechanical bull, stage to dance on with your friends, a dance pole for when you’re feeling brave and PORCH SWINGS! The bathroom is good size so you don’t have to stand in line forever.
The service has always been great. I read another review complaining that they chill the shots with ice, personally I like my fireball cold and appreciate the fact that they chill it. The bartenders are all good looking and friendly!
If you like country music and fun atmosphere you should definitely check it out!

Terrible service hands down. Every drink is watered down with ice or a chaser (order a shot and it has ice in it). We were told the manager on duty was riding the mechanical bull when we asked for him… this place is easy to miss (it’s in an alley), and there are better options to have a good night at.

Bull riding! Very nice set up with an impressive bull. Even though it was not very busy, that ring was the main attraction. The operator takes it easy on the riders so it’s a lot of fun without much risk of getting hurt. Country music was on for about an hour but then it changed over to some old school dance tunes. The bar has limited selections of alcohol so keep your orders basic. Otherwise, a good time!

Great Bar especially if you like Country Music and are looking for something different than the same old Bars, Nightclubs and Music that downtown Peoria has always had before Saddle Up opened.
