Seven Oaks Apartments

I lived here 3 years. I moved after an emergency call to maintenance meant nothing, even though the circuit box was buzzing and popping and smoking !!! OMG!!! I shut the main off and went without electricity all nite. Their BARNEY FIFE maintenance man showed up next day and had to replace 3 breakers that were burnt and like carbon !!! We are lucky we didnt burn that nite. AVOID THIS SHITHOLE!!! Plus the pool rarely is accessible. Poor maintenance everywhere!

Don’t waste your or money here. The new management is bad. Go find somewhere else to live.

I have lived here the last almost six years and it only gets worse every year. I have had no cold water all week after a water main break doc days ago. The first two days was no water at all and then no cold water going in to today where I have no water again… Six days after the original water main bust.
I understand that plumbing problems happen, especially in cold Central Illinois, but I am more frustrated because I have been calling the main office over the last 36 hours with no response or return call even though I saw the assistant manager go into the office earlier in the day. I hate being ignored, especially when all I want to know is an ETA on when we have water back.
This has happened the last three years in November. The last two Thanksgivings I have spent in my apartment have been under a boil order.
The parking lot is all beat up from every time they have to break up the pavement to get to the pipes. There are no updated appliances, the swimming pool is never taken care of unless I buy a net and clean it myself before I go swimming.
There is a $ 25 per pet rent on top of your already expensive rent. The paint inside and outside is crumbling and outdated.
Save yourself the time and hassle and find somewhere else to live. After signing six leases I can’t wait to leave.
