Called Sherman’s to repair(what we realized) a 17 year old fridge/freezer, that we believed was 8 years old @ our home in East Peoria. They repaired it, $ 185 service charge later, all good. It failed 3 more times in the next 6 weeks, and they came out, NO charge, before finally getting GE involved, and realizing there are no more parts available. Scott, the Service Manager was 100% honest on the last fix, and said the casing is cracked, no parts available, and it could last a week, a month, or 10 years. We decided as this was our primary fridge in the kitchen, to replace. We met with Steve Mackey, sales,(awesome patience, as we have an old house with an odd ball size for the fridge to go in to) and he nailed it down to about 3 options in our price range. The guy was sending us specs at 9pm for the fridge that would work in the opening. Heck, they even offered to take the original service call off the price of the new fridge! I declined that, as they were out an additional 3 times trying to get it right. New fridge delivered today, and Kenny, the Lead Deliverer was great. Understood the old house, and all doors needed to be taken off to get in narrow doorways, and reinstalled. I had a very positive experience with them from the service side to the new purchase side. Would definitely recommend for service & new sales.

Will not shop there anymore. Claim to price match competitors pricing, however when asked to match a price on a refrigerator from Home Depot they stated that since it was at their warehouse and not in the store they would not match. So I asked am I buying it here or at Home Depot and was told to buy it at Home Depot. So I did!

I’m rating this a 1 star based on working there and my experience as an employee not as a customer. As a customer I’d give it a 5 star. The furniture store salesmen, delivery drivers, and install techs are fantastic!!! I worked here for over a year from September 2014 to November 2015 as an appliance installer and absolutely loved my job and the guys I worked with. On September 26th2015 I got married and on that following Monday the 28th I was three minutes late for work. Then on the 27th of October I was two minutes late for work. Now in November of 2015 I received a mark sheet to sign for being late two months later for those dates listed above. I said to the receiving warehouse manager who name is Quinn I thinks it’s a little ridiculous that I have to sign a mark sheet for being three minutes late two times. He then continues to say to me well if you think it’s so f***ing ridiculous then you can find yourself another f***ing job, and walked away from me. I then proceeded to say wow are you kidding me right now and he yelled back at me no and I’m sick of your f***ing attitude and then walked into his office. Dumb founded I walked up to HR and told them exactly what happened and they went down to talk to him. About 15 minutes later I was asked to go into the conference room and then was rudely handed a piece of paper and was told they decided to split ways with me and that was it. I never told why I got fired and after I applied for unemployment they fought it and said I was being insobordenant to a manager and argued with him about signing a mark sheet. No where did I say I wouldn’t sign it and there is no excuse for a manager to talk to their employees that way. If your going there to buy furniture and have it delivered or installed you will have an awesome experience but as far as working there under Quinn it’s a horrendous experience.

Why would you shop anywhere else for appliances or a TV??? First and foremost, they will never be more expensive because they price match WITHOUTYOUASKING. Seriously, it happened to me. At the payment desk and the sales guy literally says«Let me just see if any other sites have this for less than we do.» I immediately looked around for the Candid Camera. When I looked back, he had found it somewhere else for $ 10 less and so deducted that right off the total without the least fanfare.(Compared to price matching at a big box store where you must bring in a notarized, laminated version of the latest ad plus sit through a phone call to that store while they verify that the item is «in-stock» because they only price match in-stock items. Oh they only have black in stock and you want white, no price matching for you!) Other benefits include zero pressure sales people who have worked there for possibly decades, no bored teens leaning against the washers like you get at Lowe’s who don’t even know how to wash their own clothes, let alone a benefits and features comparison between 2 machines. My last visit to Home Depot concluded with me stomping out to my car in a huff after wandering around looking for someone… anyone who worked there, let alone in appliances. Shermans sales people actually want to know about you and how you will be using the machine you are looking for. I know, sounds like I’m making this up but just try it, I swear you too will be looking for the camera.

My apartment complex ordered a dryer from Sherman’s and it was gas instead of electric. I then received an electric dryer the next day… That is three times in 30 days that Sherman’s delivered an appliance to my apartment and all three times they were very professional and did a great job with installation!

We were SUPPOSED to have an upright freezer delivered; instead a refrigerator was. I took the door off my basement to facilitate delivery and put it back on before we were informed of the error. VERY inconvenient. The sales staff at Sherman’s are fine, the delivery people are not. We will not be ordering from here again.

Needed bedroom furniture for my kids and wanted to shop local. We weren’t disapointed. Great, attentive service and the price was just right. Delivery was little pokey but it was to be expected. Would shop here again.

I bought my first HDTV from Sherman’s years ago. I was shopping for a new one not long ago and had another very good experience with Sherman’s. The TV I chose ended up not having the features I was looking for, but they were willing to take it back(same day) with no restocking fee. I felt kind of bad about having to return it, but I will definitely look at Sherman’s again the next time I need a new mattress or major kitchen appliance.

We bought our appliances 2 years ago from Shermans. Great family owned business. Very helpful sales staff. Seamless transaction from start to finish and quick, efficient delivery. Highly recommended.
