Tastee Freez

This place has a nostalgic factor working for it but the food and ice cream are really outdated. I do like their fried burritos. Those are hard to find. The other food is relatively cheap but not very good. For instance I got a pastrami and fries for around $ 7. As I was eating it on the road I just kept thinking that I wish I had waited and gotten a sandwich somewhere else. Tasted cheap, no flavor, fries were acceptable. Similarly the ice cream is soft serve and just doesn’t measure up with the modern era of dessert shops.
I would put it on par with ballpark food. The place reminds me of Foster Freeze in Long Beach growing up and that warms the cockles of my heart slightly. But realistically it’s not a place I would go out of the way for too often. Did I mention I love the fried burritos?

Being from Perris, it’s more of the memories its brings back rather than the taste. the ice cream is good and they carry a variety typical fast food. The fries and onion rings are always fried to order.

This place sucks no taste or flavor in the food everything is frozen so the food gose from the freezer straight to the grill or deep fryer the ice cream is good tho

Grew up coming to this place since i was little chocolate dipped ice cream my fav love there food great staff nothing has changed

Iv been going here since I was little my mom always took me on Sundays for there ice cream and I still go it’s GREAT

I lived in this area as a child and my dad brought me here every weekend. I love the cheesy fries and the ice cream Sunday’s. I recently moved back to the area and I was surprised and excited to see that the place is still up and running.

I’ve been going here for years absolutely love this place i have so memories of walking here with my grandmother for a root beer float.

Based on all the reviews I thought too highly of it. It was such a disappointment. I will not come back, I ordered chilli burger & a regular hamburger & some pastrami fries. It was bad.

I’m horrified that this place has so many good reviews I’ve lived in perris for a bit over a year now and I happen to live close to Tastee So one day I decided to come here expecting it to be nothing like back home (LA) And I was right It was terrible the meat was dry as well as the buns the fries are obviously pre frozen I guess that’s why it’s called Tastee Freeze cuz everything comes from a freezer the problem is that nothing is tastee sorry bad joke but getting back on track ok so I told my self well maybe it’s not always like this maybe I went to late at night and they gave me the leftovers so I went back again a few times making excuses for them each time I went and I even tried different things but no everything was TERRIBLE! Why people like it I will never know maybe they just haven’t tried a well done burger but I’ve learned my lesson and next time I’m craving a burger I’ll just drive to Temecula for that place in Old Town or I’ll go to Five Guys instead… Oh and I would have given it one star not just cuz they have bad food but because it’s filthy looking and it has a weird bum smell but I added two stars cuz the food is cheap and well I guess you get what you paid for

I absolutely love this place. I grew up with their chocolate dipped ice cream cones, and they’re as good today as they were when I was growing up! Their hamburgers are basic, but so tasty. I recommend their corn dogs and their chili burgers. Their banana shakes are also really good. A great place to get a quick bite to eat.
P. S. Bring cashn because they don’t accept cards.

This place brings back so many child hood memories. I love the ice cream cone here in the summertime or in the winter. I come here at least a few times a month!

So I’ve seen this place a lot, so I thought I’d stop at try it. It’s small old school look is nice. It’s cash only. Basic burger joint stuff. Only a few tables to sit. There was a lot of street walkers /​bums /​homeless hanging around. My wife and I ordered a double cheese burger meal, and pastrami meal with zucchini. Burger was good fresh the fries were crispy and yummy. The pastrami was small and thin on the meat :/​zucchini was not good and the ranch packet was not good. I would stay to simple burger and fries! Question is how long will they last when the new Gus jr open across the street.

Ok so this review is from my visit in the winter of 2010, me and a friend went to check out the junk yards in the area, along with the OERM which is pretty rad. Anyways after we left the OERM we were pretty hungry, and along the way we saw Tastee Burger. so we stop in and we get a burger, chili cheese dog and soda, we eat there and are pretty impressed. So we finish up and head back to LA… about 10 miles later we both decided that we NEED another hot dog, so we trek back and get 4 chili cheese dogs… they were just great. I’m sure our burgers were fine but the chili cheese dogs for a buck fifty is where its at! Next time im out that way i will for sure go again!

Only had the shakes here… which were amazing. I’d recommend the strawberry shake

I have been going here since I was a child. I love the food and prices. It’s my go to place for a strawberry shortcake try it out!

A million stars for this place… My childhood favorite and it still continues to be. Its a shame they got rid of all the ones in my area… Now i have to travel 2 hours just to see «my dad». My favorite is the burrito fiesta… mmmmm DERicious.

While waiting for my vehicle to be repaired down the street at Dad’s Automotive, my sons and I went here for lunch, since there are no other fast food burger type establishments within walking distance of downtown Perris.
We ordered a corn dog combo meal, a jr. cheeseburger combo meal and ½ pound cheeseburger combo meal. A combo meal included a soft drink and fries.
We sat at the side of the restaurant which had several tables with umbrellas over them. Pretty much all of the tables were falling apart and not secured to the middle pole, allowing almost all of the tables to slant precariously to one side. We found a table that was stable enough for us to eat at.
We received our food. The burgers were ok, nothing spectacular. My hamburger bun was dry and stale as well.
Not sure why other reviewers rave about the fries. They were nasty! The fries reminded me of the institutional fries made out of a liquid potato batter that are extruded through a die, frozen and bagged then fried by the restaurant upon demand.
The sodas did not come with free refills, and depending on the size you purchased, a refill could cost .50 to $ 1.
Our total bill was about $ 12.50. They only accept cash.

Finally a Good Joint to have a Fresh Burger!!! Not only fresh but so Great the fries are fresh and taste Great!!! Way better than a meal at McDonald’s or jack in the box! The ice cream choices are Great!!! Perfect spot to just grab ice cream
I will definitely be back!

The burger combo went up a buck but the tastiness went up as well.
Gone are the stale fries, now the fries are fried TO ORDER.
The burger is still delicious. Coupled with the fries and a medium Coca-​Cola and this place takes large… masSIVE…GARGANTUAN dumps on Five Guys.
