This is a very nice establishments. For starters, they made me reconsider tomatoes. I normally dislike them, and yet their fried green tomatoes were divine. The mini biscuits are solid, Lima beans pretty good, and meatloaf is a sweet sauce delight. The baked chicken falls off the bone and is seasoned to perfection. The bread pudding is a touch above average, and the cornbread pudding is a touch below. The service was painfully slow, but even this couldn’t greatly harm a fine time at a fine establishment.

I could have made the food myself. But it was nice to not have to.

Good food but don’t stop here if you are in a hurry. Took 38 minutes to get our food.

We were there last night and it was awesome. We got there about 8:15 and they close at 9. We received great service from our phenomenal waiter Thomas and the food was amazing. We are from the Charlotte NC area and this was the best restaurant we found on our visit. When in Perry you must check it out.

Wow southern cooking and hospitality to the max. I had the pot roast and my wife had the fried chicken. Everything was fantastic including our server a well mannered young man named Will. I would go back any time.

I really like the atmosphere. It’s a beautiful old house converted into a restaurant. We each had the fried shrimp and oysters($ 15.95). My sides were squash casserole and collards, he had fried okra and slaw. They brought me fried okra by mistake so I got an extra side. We thought everything was good except the squash casserole(too salty) and the slaw(too old, probably fine if fresh). There are cheaper items on the menu. I wish I had tried the fried chicken instead

Found this little southern gem thanks to Unilocal.Typical southern food probably not healthy for the heart but definitely for the soul. Service was excellent, immediately greeted by this very polite southern boy who gave us his recommendation and took our order. Soon followed the BEST little sweet biscuits(I think it might have had a little corn bread mixed in the batter). They were out of control good. Of course I had to order sweet tea too. Started out with some deviled eggs which were good but nothing out of this world. Being in the South I had to try the fried chicken accompanied by sweet potato soufflé and squash casserole. YUM!!! My wife ordered the fried chicken breast with gravy which was also very good. We ordered a side of Mac n cheese which was also very good. Unfortunately we did not order dessert because they had no pecan pie. That was confusing! How can any GA restaurant not serve pecan pie??? All in all it was a great find in a beautiful old southern style house, would definitely stop by again when in the GA area.

This Historical Georgia gem serves up some of the finest Southern food you can find in Perry Georgia. We started with the devil eggs appetizer. I had traditional fried chicken with gravy, sweet potato soufflé and coleslaw. My husband had fried chicken, squash casserole and sweet potato soufflé and the kids had the grilled chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese They also bring out these delicious little biscuits I could of made a meal out of. Everything was excellent. Staff was very friendly. Prices are extremely reasonable.

It’s was raining so we pulled off of 75 in search of somewhere to eat. Pulled out Unilocal and couldn’t help but notice all the great reviews for this place… It didn’t let us down. Great food, great service and great price. We ended up on the front porch which was very nice. I had baked chicken, sweet potato soufflé and collards— husband had the fried chicken! YUMMY

Really good fried chicken. Insanely good sweet potato soufflé. Only downside was that I couldn’t log onto a wifi to do some work on. Really just wanted to applaud the owner for coming and apologizing. Guy is a class act. I made sure to tell him that it shouldn’t be the wifi that people come for anyways… You can feel the love not only in the food, but in the overall vibe and ambiance. I will be sure to swing through if I am working in the area again!

We were up in Perry for a recent robotics tournament and found the place through Unilocal. All the reviews I read were very positive so we decided to try it. We are very pleased that we went. The food was wonderful and the price is very reasonable. I had the pot roast and it was better than mom’s, but don’t tell her. My wife had the country fried steak and loved it too. All of the side were also delicious. It was so good we went back on Sun.

The food is as excellent as this place is cozy. It’s just a great little restaurant. My shrimp were cooked perfectly as well as the blackened Tilapia. Sweet tea was fantastic. And the little bread bites were very delicious. The pretty and timely waitresses really add to the atmosphere and its a amazing little restaurant. The owners should be proud :)

Stopped in for lunch today, passing through in route from Florida to North Georgia. Beautiful restaurant and great service. The food was wonderful. I started with the collard soup and it was very tasty seasoned with ham and sausage. Then I had the baked chicken and corn bread stuffing with the squash casserole and cole slaw and my husband had the fried oyster plate. Everything was cooked perfectly and we enjoyed our meal completely.

Great little restaurant in a surprisingly nice downtown Perry. I got the southern fried chicken, and it was so good I came back two days later and got the exact same thing. It’s a unique fried chicken. The crispy, fried outside layer is much thinner than most other fried chickens. So what you’re left with is a juicy, tender piece of chicken with just a light coating of fried flavoring. It’s a much lighter and refreshing take than what you usually find elsewhere. And the must have side: sweet potato soufflé. So incredible. Prices are great, portions are generous, service is on point, atmosphere is unique, and the food is delicious. What’s not to love? Definitely a must visit little gem in Perry.
