This is probably the only Spanish bakery I’ve been to in the area. My mom has been here more than I have, but when I came with her around Thanksgiving, we got plenty of pastries and bread. We bought bread, tembleque, flan, guava pastries, and a pineapple-filled cake for my mom’s birthday. Everything was delicious. The tembleque was my favorite & I definitely wish I had bought more. The bread was great, especially when you warm it up. They’ll do it for you, but I wouldn’t recommend that unless you plan on eating it right away. I’ll definitely be back here next time I’m up there.

This place is so charming. I took the NJ Transit from NY Penn Station to Perth Amboy Station at 7AM one September morning, Hungry and tired, I wandered around town before settling on this quaint bakery. While I only ordered a small coffee, it was perfectly roasted and a definite pick-me-up at $ 1 for a cup. The bakery treats looked delectable and fresh too. Although this place is not perfect(I noticed a cockroach roaming the floor), the restaurant makes up for its imperfection in its character and spirit. I noticed bakery workers chatting happily with community patrons, many of whom looked like they visit the bakery on a regular basis. The bakery was buzzing in activity even early in the morning, which is a good indication of the quality.
