I went into this beautiful shop for the first time last week and found it utterly refreshing and filled with reasonably priced very, very special Asian antiques. I didn’t get to meet Lou yet; he was on a buying trip in China as I understand it. I’m going back as soon as I can. What a GREAT experience this was.

I wandered into this store after having breakfast down the street on a Sunday. The vibe is excellent. Mellow, serene, pleasant. The owner is very nice and so is his dog. We hung around for a while as it is such a welcoming place. On our way towards the door to leave I spotted an Asian lacquered box that drew me right in. It isn’t made for a mah jongg set, however my mah jongg tiles fit perfectly in there. The price was reasonable, and I am now a happy patron of the store.

San Francisco, CA
This is my favorite place — formerly in Graton, now in Petalulma. I bring friends here from San Francisco to buy beautiful mostly antique but refurbished Chinese furniture pieces: armoires, cupboards, nightstands, buffets pieces, small carved boxes, etc. They are very well priced, especially the pieces on sale. I buy amazing tea there (now I am obsessed with Kukicha… as good as the tea I drank when I travelled in Japan) to take home… and I just love to hang out there and make jokes with Lou and talk about life and admire the beautiful furniture and sample the unbelieveable variety of tea at the high counter and eat poco dolce chocolates. The world goes away …

I love this store and the man who runs it! He does all his own shopping and has amazing taste. The furniture is beautiful and very reasonable, the tea is great! And the spicy chocolate is my favorite! Check it our next time you are in Graton.

Words cannot describe this place. If you like tea then you’ve never been to the Tea Bar. Because after being here you will love tea! They are knowledgeable and VERY well stocked. I recently found a few bags stocked away in my pantry from a trip to wine country before my son was born. They were as fresh and wonderful as the day I bought them. I love this store!
