Valerie did a great job on my hair! She got me in and out quickly, she was friendly and efficient. I also loved the bumble and bumble products, everything was top notch. Very happy, if I’m ever back in peteluma I will definitely be stopping in!

I recently used Heidi and Megan from Lauthr salon for my wedding hair and makeup for myself and bridesmaids and it was such a great decision as I loved the hair and make up they did on us all, they are so good at what they do and were really good with communication and super reliable– I throughly recommend them to anyone wanting amazing wedding hair and makeup!

LOVE my Stylist, Daragh, She rocks. Never liked my hair until I met Daragh, now I love my hair. The best part is becoming friends with Daragh, although we only see each other every couple months, I just love her, The salon is upbeat, but friendly and comfortable.
I always enjoy my time at Lauthr, Best salon in Sonoma County!!!

I hired Megan and Heidi for hair and makeup for my wedding and they were absolutely amazing. When I went to the hair and makeup trial, I wasn’t sure of the look I wanted. They were able to help me develop the perfect hair and makeup that worked for me and my personality. They also did a wonderful job with my bridesmaids — all 4 of them loved their look. I am so thrilled I was able to work with them and would highly recommend them to any bride!

I rarely go to get my hair done (cut and color), I just let it grow out pretty long before I decide to do something fun with it: P
I was really really nervous about coloring my hair. I searched on Unilocal which salon had the best ratings, and Lauthr caught my eye!
Valerie is so friendly, I enjoyed talking to her a lot.
She was quick but didn’t make me feel rushed at all!
Excellent communication. We talked about what I wanted — full head of highlights, not too blonde/​light, and a trim with long layers.
The whole process was about 2hr 30min. Originally my hair turned out way lighter/​yellower during the lightening process, but she corrected that with the toner. I wasn’t scared because she knows her stuff. She took the color down a bit to what it is now, which is a lighter brown. It wasn’t what I was expecting (but in the best sense) because I never thought I’d like myself in a lighter shade of brown! I’m so ready for summer now!
She also explained to me what she was doing every step of the way. I seriously couldn’t have been more happy with her doing my hair. I’ve been getting a lot of compliments! :) :)

Seriously — I could NOT be happier with the service and style that Lena provides me at Lauthr! When I used to go to another (ahem) salon that used to be in town, I always thought Lena looked cool… so when that salon closed and moved, and I had a disastrous experience — I came calling and she has welcomed me (and my BFF) with open arms! She is responsible, a perfectionist, an amazing colorist and a true artist when it comes to hair cuts. She doesn’t do what SHE wants, she does what you want. And you don’t have to be there for hours and hours — she’s efficient. I am a huge fan — and she fixed my hair (well, I’ve been going to her for a year now, let’s say she’s still working on it, it was messsssed up) and I love my hair these days. Thank you Lena!

Lena is the best! Professional, kind, and an über talented color specialist. I’ve been going to see her now for about 6 months and have left happy every time.
I just went into today to make a big change to my hair (ombré) and was a little nervous! She worked her magic however, and seriously it came out better than I could have ever imagined.

Savonna is amazing! I’ve been going to her for a few years now and she is truly skilled! It’s nice to find a hair stylist I really trust! I will show her a picture of what I want and she makes it happen sometimes even better than the picture! The salon also has great products too my only suggestion would be if they got an AC unit or something I’ve been there several times and it has been uncomfortably warm. Other than that it’s amazing!

This is the first time I am writing a review on Unilocal.I recently colored my hair from a box and ended up getting hot roots, it was a disaster to say the least and not something I could fix on my own. Hot roots are when the shade of your roots are a different color then the rest of your hair, usually lighter and it looks really bad because everyone knows you’ve used a box! As I don’t have a large income to be going to the salon on a consistent basis, I tend to use box color dye to dye my hair but after going to Lauthr, I’ve decided that they do it best and it’s worth every penny to save up in order to get it done professionally no matter what. I called Kelly a few days after my mishap and she fit me right into her schedule on a weekend. She was super nice and gave me several options to choose from in fixing my hair color. The process went very smoothly from there and within an hour and a half I had radiant, shiny, beautifully colored hair. I’ve been getting amazing compliments on my hair from so many people since then (friends, co-​workers and strangers) and it’s really because Kelly has a great eye for style and superb technique. I happened to learn about this salon from a woman shopping in a store I currently work at and asked her where she had gotten her hair done. Her hair looked so amazing that I took notice and put Lauthr down in my phone for future reference. The proof for me was in her results and then of course mine– that is what made me walk into Lauthr and receive a great hair treatment. Thank you so much Kelly!

Lauthr Salon did hair and make up for my wedding and everything turned out perfect!!! Very nice, on time and gave me the look I wanted. I will add a pic from the wedding to the pictures.

Ashley B is AMAZING! I’ve been going to her for a while now but she always cuts and colors my hair just the way I like it! I came in yesterday needing to remove color for a new job and Ashley got it all out in one try! Plus she gave me an edgier cut since I can’t have the color, and it’s AWESOME! I have never loved a cut more! She is always friendly and funny and professional! I love going to get my hair done by Ashley! Go to her!!!

Heidi Reeser is so amazing. She takes her time, is so creative with color and highlight/​lowlight patterns. Super easy to explain things to and the salon is so darling! I had to bring my newborn in (with my husband of course for help), because she’s not quite old enough to be on a predictable eating schedule yet, everyone was so welcoming. They offered my husband and I a beer or wine, lemon water or soda.
It was just an all around great experience and all of the stylists were super sweet and welcoming.
Ps you’ll love their bathroom. It reminded me of Alice in wonderland!

Just got my hair done today with Heidi Reeser, and I have to say that I’m really happy with the outcome! I haven’t had my hair done in so long so it felt awesome to be pampered again. I got highlights and a haircut. One of the best cuts I’ve ever gotten! I have fine hair so I’ve had my share of bad haircuts, but this cut is perfect for me. She layered my hair giving it more body but still kept the length which I love! Also on the plus side, the salon has a high end look and everyone is super friendly. I’ll definitely be back!

I am in LOVE with Lauthr! I followed my stylist, Heidi R., when she moved to Lauthr from a Novato salon in January. This place is top-​notch! It’s clean, hip, and fun. The music is good and the available beverages make hair appointments more enjoyable than they already are!
Heidi R. has been styling my hair for 5 years now. I have had to see other stylists once or twice over the years for the quick bang trim, etc. when Heidi has been out, and the quality is never the same. She is a genius when it comes to color; no one has ever given me such natural looking highlights and lowlights! Thanks to Heidi R., I ALWAYS have beautiful AND healthy hair! I’m happy that she has moved a few miles closer to my home, but I’d follow her anywhere!

Very happy with my experiences at Lauthr Salon. Heidi did my wedding hair, and she was able to create the exact style I wanted from a combination of photos I took from bridal magazines. She was very friendly and warm, and I was distracted from my nervousness as we chatted while she did my hair.
My hair is very thick and she had to put in 80+ bobby pins (I counted afterwards!) and probably half a can of hairspray to keep the whole thing together. But my hair stayed in place all night, despite many hours of dancing and partying.
Two other girls also did my bridesmaids’ hair based on photos they had on their cellphones. The styles were totally different, but looked fantastic! The bridesmaids didn’t get trials, but were thankfully very happy with how the their hair turned out!

Had my hair cut by Heidi. She was very informative, descriptive and professional. After having a bad experience over at Muse with a crass and inattentive hairdresser, Heidi was a breath of fresh air!
She did a great job with my cut and brought my friend ends back to life! Friendly, easy to talk to and a great style at the end as well.
The salon is really well put together and their décor is smart, clean and exciting. I would definitely recommend it!

Its been a while since I wrote a review about Lauthr. But I was there yesterday and felt compelled to write since their move to new digs in downtown Petaluma.
The new place is a little smaller but much more personable. The main stylists that make the place stand out are still there and Megan did my hair as usual and she is excellent with men’s haircuts — I love this place and have been going there for years.
