A lot of people have commented about «attitude» they have experienced in various gun stores. I have seen it too and got none of it here. I am not a «local» and yet I was treated with courtesy and respect. These are things you kind of have to give to get. I got a great price and the owner of the store of his own volition added a couple of nice extras without charge. I look forward to continued patronage.

Great service. I was truly surprised. Sure I am a returning customer but I doubted they noticed that and being a city kid doesn’t help me in a country gun shop. However the people behind the counter treat me as one of their own. I especially appreciate the honesty they keep with their products. No bull shit. Greatly recommend this place. Just be respectful and know your shit before you go in or talk… No one likes opinionated assholes who don’t base they’re saying on facts…

I went in to take a look around. Nice selection of firearms a gear. Pretty much the only local place for any reloading supplies.

I go in there occasionally to sniff out any bargains. I’ve bought several handguns there and actually consigned my M1 Garand too. Service has always been good to me. Prices are within normal limits. Sometime there are some pretty good deals and hard to find pistols. I’d shop there again if they have what I want.

Went in today to get some hard-​to-​find ammo for my new 12 gauge shotgun. The guy behind the counter was extremely friendly — even taking the time to ask what I was looking for and to say he’d be right with me as soon as he finished with his current customer. Showed me what I was looking for and even offered some welcome advice. Prices were very competitive. They had more inventory of guns and ammo than any other shop I’ve seen in this area. I will definitely come back. Very friendly and helpful.

Went in today because I have been researching a lot about getting a .22lr. After going to the three top rated gun shops on Unilocal in Petaluma and Cotati I came here looking for a Ruger ¹⁰⁄₂₂. They were extremely nice and even though other customers were at the counter they made a point to ask us what we were looking for and they had a bunch of different configs of the ¹⁰⁄₂₂ as well as some used rifles. Definitely would go back here for future purchases. Good prices and friendly, helpful staff. Now it is just a matter of 8 more days and actually finding .22 ammo so I can go to the range…
I was at first turned off by the low rating on Unilocal,but I found the other stores that were rated higher to be not as helpful or friendly and two of the other stores in Petaluma had no Rugers at all and were more expensive in general.

I was in the market for something durable, easy to carry and basically foolproof. I wanted a handgun for fishing trips in the mountains and possibly to carry while horseback riding. I was looking for something that would have plenty of stopping power for any thing that walks or crawls here in California. Blued steel and inclement weather don’t work well together, and I wanted something with more firepower and less weight than a 6″ L frame S&W stainless revolver. I also wanted something a little less pricy than a 4 or 6″ .44 mag. I was kinda figuring I’d have to compromise between weight, stopping power, price etc. They just happened to have a Glock 20, 10 mm in stock. 10 rounds of a rather powerful autoloading cartridge in a gun significantly smaller and lighter than either the medium or large frame revolver. I’ve been coming into this shop for nearly 30 years now, I used to buy his reloaded ammo back in the day, this was my first gun purchase here, but I was pleased with customer service and price. When I’ve been in the store, clerks have been fine as far as I’m concerned. Like many gun shop owners, Darryl is rather dry and not trying to practice his skills as a comedian, but I didn’t go here for comedy, I was looking for a gun. I frequently wear a cowboy hat, but when I haven’t I get the same level of service, courtesy, and professionalism. Kudos to a guy whose managed to stay in this business in an admittedly anti gun Bay Area for as long as he has

Went here today to find some rare scope mounts and some rings. Not only did Darryl have what I needed but he took the time to install it on my rifle for no charge. He was very knowledgeable and helpful.

They’ve got a great selection of reloading stuff and a nice counter of guns. The weird looks they give you when you walk in or ask a simple question, though, make other gun store people seem quite normal.
Why does it have to be like this? Is there any wonder most Americans don’t know anything about firearms when gun store clerks act, for the most part, like dicks and dickettes?
I’ll probably be back because I like the setup and the prices are fine. But I kinda wish it were staffed by a robot or something.

They overcharge for everything. $ 100 for a plastic Plano 10 586 double gun case??? WTF. I don’t recommend anyone buy anything from this place. Very rude if your not wearing skin tight wranglers and a 10 gallon hat. Garbage attitudes, very much like the jerks at Marin Firearms.

I went here during a day full of visiting many different gun stores.
Thank god we found this place, especially after coming from the rude and awkward, not to mention tiny, Marin Firearms.
I talked to the very knowledgeable staff for a while and they gave me advice and answered all of my questions. They are very friendly and personable. It is owned by an older couple. Though their mossbergs were a bit pricey, I didn’t check their other items. They have a large selection and a catalog they can order from. I highly recommend the 20 minutes drive to have a good experience.
