Petaluma Pete is AMAZING! He plays his piano on streetcorners downtown, and freely entertainis all. He tirelessly volunteers as emcee and musican for non-profits all over town. He produces great videos for kids to discover their town. He’s just about the coolest personality in Petaluma, right up there with John Crowley of Aqus Café and Aqus Community. both larger than life with generous hearts. Thanks petaluma Pete!

Petaluma Pete. Dude played music in the outdoors on Friday night when it was cold as frozen meatballs out there. Windy and a bit moist, props to you Mr. Musician!

Petaluma Pete played for our son’s 5th birthday party in McNear Park, and was extremely inviting to the kids, letting them play the piano, and making up lyrics to include all the guests… We had a great time, and were really happy we asked him to perform. We love seeing him downtown and love his«For Kids Only» segment on . He’s got the pulse of Petaluma’s eccentricity down pat, and has a kid’s eye view that’s adult-friendly too. Go Petaluma Pete!

After looking at the title to this review, one might say, «Ohes noes! Another crazy Unilocal review!» Have no fear my friends, as issue 629 is dedicated to one of the eccentricities of Petaluma. So, who is this Petaluma Pete? A very simple answer is on its way. You see, Petaluma tries to keep its small town character and its historical monuments. There are many street performers that keep with the theme, and here is where Petaluma Pete comes in. Just last night on the corner of Western Avenue and Petaluma Boulevard sat a jovial man pounding away at a ragtime beat on his rollaway piano. His piano is literally on a cart and he rolls it around town and settles into a good spot to entertain the crowds downtown. He also will also make himself at home in the various stores that have pianos. To each their own, but it certainly think that it makes your day a bit more lively when you have some merry music tickling your ears as you’re walking around downtown. Thanks for the good old fashioned fun!
