Good phở, ordered takeout and it was ready fast. One bowl of phở and some spring rolls was 16 $ I thought it was a little expensive. Got home and noticed they didn’t pack many veggies with the soup. The broth tasted good, tender meat. I would like to try it again… on the north side of town near 101.

Came here on the way to Tahoe. Order phở ga(chicken phở). the broth was really good. Didn’t taste any msg. The chicken was tender and wasn’t dried up. Service was good. A pleasant visit.

Really solid phở. Not the greatest I’ve ever had — I think the beef phở at Thang Long in Petaluma is a bit more flavorful — but it did the trick on a deary, cool day. I also thought the portion size was plentiful for the price. Went there with a friend at 5pm on a Tuesday and we had the place to ourselves.

Excellent Vietnamese Barbeque sandwiches which I’ve had a few times now, priced perfectly, and I even asked for chickenXbeef double meat for not much more. Thai iced tea with pearl is awesome as well, will have to come back and try the phở itself!

One of the best Vietnamese restaurants I’ve eaten at. Their Phở Ga is my hubby’s & son’s favorite, my personal favorite is their Papaya Salad, Fresh Spring Eggrolls & the Shrimp over rice with egg AND their Watermelon Smoothies with Tapioca balls is YUMMYLICIOUS!!! A must eatery spot!!!

Petaluma isn’t really known for phở, but this place was pretty legit. The soup was flavorful and hot and most importantly, taste pretty authentic. I know Petaluma is full of people who think they know phở, but you don’t know phở until you have had the real stuff. This place is pretty close! The servings were pretty legit and the meat was pretty much on point. I also got the spring rolls and they were your typical rolls like at any other phở restaurant, no complaints. If I am around the area, I’d definitely stop by if I had a phở craving.

Bahn Mi and Vietnamese coffee were good but you can’t eat the bahn mi sandwich in the restaurant, must be «to go» …why?

I have eaten here since it is close to my office. I am vegetarian, and usually get their vegetarian dishes, which they have a decent amount. My usual is the VD3 Ch Gio, and Thai iced tea. After the last visit, unless I am in a lunch bind, I probably will not be compelled come back. They take awhile to greet you when you come in, when they do they just give you the menu and walk away. You usually have to signal them to come back to let them you are ready to order, they don’t usually check on you. The food comes out in an ok time, but the food itself isn’t that great. I have had alot better. They never really check on you while you are eating either, at the most they come by when they see you are almost done eating and bring you the bill. You have to go to the counter to pay, and that is it. For the price, I am certainly not impressed, way overpriced for what it is worth, again, have had better. Bottom line, there are alot of good Vietnamese places in the area, this just happens to be close to my office. I rather go to some of the places if I have more time in my work day… bottom line, please don’t try waste your time here, search Unilocal for others nearby.

This place is always busy during the lunch hour because of all the businesses surrounding it so I would expect a wait. The first time I came I wanted a Bahn Mi as they are inexpensive and one of my favorites. I ordered the chicken and to be honest it wasn’t that great. The chicken was chewy with an odd flavor, the cucumber was limp and slightly slimy and the sandwich took about 20 minutes to get to me. I decided to come back and try the pork. I walk in and order the combination pork sandwhich and I brought cash as last time they charged me to use my card which I understand. The lady who was very polite then tells me that it will take 30 minutes… for a sandwhich. I said that’s fine. I would like to know the number of chefs they have in the back where it takes 30 minutes to make my sandhwich. I understand there are people sitting down but this will cause me to second guess coming here a third time. I guess if they only have one chef in the back it can cause delays but this is the lunch rush. Lesson learned: Always order to go ahead of time. WAY ahead of time.

Okay, I don’t know why anyone complains about the service here, the hosts are very attentive, and super nice(at this point I’ve probably eaten here over 20 times). Get over it, you’re not royalty by any means. Being from Orange County and eating Vietnamese food since I was um. around 13(I’m 39 now) I knew it would be tough to find a good Vietnamese spot in Northern Califonia with the exception of San Jose. With this being said, I tried this joint and actually liked it. Their Bún bò Hu is by far the best I’ve had in the bay, the ph đc bit is spot on, and the Bánh mì is made actually how it’s suppose to be made.

The service was good(not great) — by that I mean that the lady was accommodating when I requested she turn off one of the TVs(we came with kids), but then it took a little while for them to come back for our order. Good came quite quickly after that, which is great. The food was a little below average. Here is a summary: — imperial rolls: perfectly fine — papaya salad with beef jerky: very yummy — shaking beef: really terrible. Each and every piece of beef was grizzly and chewy(the texture was worse than the worst stew meat I’ve ever had). — shrimp over rice: was pretty good — wonton noodle soup: the soup lacked flavor. It was cloudy water with a faint hint of flavor. I’m a bit extreme in my ratings(because otherwise everything becomes a 3 star place…). Overall, this place is inexpensive and the food is average, with some dishes that were very disappointing. That’s why I gave it a 2.

Unfortunatly there isn’t a minus star. Sorry to have to rain on their parade BUT… Ngoc Thanh takes Vietnamese food to another level. Ngoc Thanh is for sure the«Dennys of Vietnamese» food. Poor quality products and lack of care to the integrity of a truly wonderful cuisine. Making it is overpriced for what you get. Dishes that include«Grilled Shrimp»(it is not grilled) are served in a dubious tasting jarred red sauce. Trash With all of the authentic Vietnamese restaurants in Sonoma Co., don’t waste your time and money here.

Service here is great, I’ve never had to wait for a meal. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is priced right. The place is big enough for large parties of people. Surprisingly they are open on Labor Day.

THISISMYFAVORITEPLACEEVER. My boyfriend and I were driving around looking for a place to eat. We were going to go to the Indian place next door but it was closed. I was so hungry so we just went here. What an amazing place. I am currently obsessed with this place. We are both vegan and was happily surprised that they offered vegan chicken and non-fish fish sauce. We tried two dishes and an appetizer. They were all very delicious. At first, we thought that the prices were too much but when you get your food, you realize that you get a lot for what you pay for. Service was just okay. The woman kept looking at me weirdly. And the guy just kept watching the football game that was on the large tv. It took us a while to get the bill and boxes but the amazing food takes over from the cons. We’ll be trying all of their veggie options so I can’t really say much about the other dishes. Love this place, we will be going more often. So happy that the Indian place was closed that day because we would have never gone here!

Can I find a cheaper bowl of phở in Petaluma? it doesn’t look like it! These are expensive bowls of phở, prices are $ 8.50 and above! Skip the imperial roll, it tasted like a regular Chinese egg roll. I actually didn’t want phở, so I had their wonton soup with egg noodle.(a Chinese dish at a Viet resto? blasphemous!) Pricey for what it is, but clean surroundings.
