In my role as IT Manager for the City of Sausalito, I have been using Resolution Laser to service the printers in our offices for nearly 10 years with great success. I’ve purchased printers from them at competitive prices as well. Occasionally it will take longer to get a tech out to service the units than I want but I do understand they are busy. I have never had a negative experience with them and trust that when I call them, they will know what to do to make the problem go away.

Resolution was referred to me by a Marin computer store. I had a bad paper jam that I couldn’t fix myself, since the paper wrapped around an inaccessible part.(I stupidly tried to print a shipping label with half of it removed, such that half of the paper was like waxed paper). So I brought printer in, paid a very reasonable $ 60 for diagnosis, which involved taking the printer apart, and would have been charged a reasonable $ 125 for repair. Service was fast, friendly, and Scott researched the pros and cons of fixing versus buying a new printer, since the replacement part was more expensive than buying new.

Would not use again. The tech had no clue on how to test and find out what was wrong with our fax. Said it was a crossed phone line when clearly that was not the problem

Called and they came out same day. Our(work) printer had a broken hinge. I was quoted $ 60 over the phone to have them come out and they would apply that to the cost of the repair(if it would cost more). A guy showed up and fixed the issue by just snapping off the plastic piece in the way of the printer closing and tried to charge us $ 185. Ridiculous. I said there was no way I was paying that so he left, got on his phone for 5 mins, came back and said«ok $ 60» I don’t think I would use them again. The only plus was they were local and came out same day. :Updated 7÷10÷2013: The fact that this issue/review was addressed 4 years later by the company is a directly reflection of their incompetence and poor customer services skills. I have nothing more to say and have since found a much better mobile printer repair vendor.
