Terrible service, too many people at customer service. Not helpful! Poor job of keeping the shelves stocked. Store extremely dirty. Parking lot full of trash.

As far as Walmart goes I like this location. They have a wide variety of products as Walmart often does, and have the usual fairly decent prices. The employees I have encountered have been very nice and helpful. My main issue with this Walmart is the cleanliness. Some things are in disarray and they could certainly use better lighting. The bathroom was the worst I have ever been in to. I find this extremely surprising given that the cleaning lady was in there. She didn’t even have any cleaning supplies with her except a broom. There was no cleaning cart in sight. The bathroom was a major problem for me. I had slightly better luck in the back bathroom.

Consistently the worst Walmart I have ever been to. I agree when others say the employees make it feel like you are inconveniencing them. I have never had an employee offer help to find anything. Just today I politely asked the cashier where I could place the basket as she was ringing me up. She told me you need to put it back by the door yourself. Normally I don’t mind doing this, but I had quite a few heavy items that were not even offered to be placed in bags or any assistance. I cannot wait to move so hopefully the next local Walmart encounter will not make their customers feel like they are the problem. Avoid it if you can

This is the closest Walmart to my residence so I am forced to shop their pretty regularly. They usually have what I’m looking for and it’s usually cheaper than anywhere else like they advertise. That I’m fine with. What I’m not fine with is the store management and employees. There is usually a greater at the entrance where the groceries are and he is friendly and says hello. That’s where it stops… you will never find an associate in a department who will ask you if you’re finding everything ok or if you need help. In fact associates often walk right by you as if you weren’t even there. The cashier’s are even worse. No one says hello and they often don’t even make eye contact. They give you the feeling that you are inconveniencing them bc you are forcing them to work. They are down right rude most of the time. Often you will be in line to check out and they are conversing with other cashiers or employees and often the conversations are inappropriate… like where they were over the weekend, what they did, who’s man they saw out with some else. Really can I just pay and get out of here!!! They do not express a need of urgency to do their job at all. Why do I keep going back you ask??? I have a family of 7 and they take manufacturer coupons. You honestly can’t beat the pricing so I tolerate it. Between this and Sam’s Club, which is owned by the same company I’m forced economically to shop there. I wish they would implement some employee policies for better customer service.

Rude and unprofessional. Heard a flamboyant male manager yelling in front of the store that he wasn’t going to do this or that and he was so loud that other shoppers stopped to see what was the commotion. The cashier said he is always like that and berates the staff. Infact, twice I have been there since November and other cashiers said the same thing. I asked if it would help if I complained and the cashier said no, that they don’t care. This Walmart is much smaller than the others so the selection of items isnt that good. I also have had instances where the Deli attendants were less than courteous or professional. I had bought a bike here at Christmas and it was put together horribly and unsafely. Had to bring it back and it was put together properly by «Mr. James.» I wouldn’t recommend anyone else to put together a bike you purchase from here. Also the lighting in the parking lot needs to be fixed. Its very dark after sundown.

Yes, I am writing a review for Walmart. I ventured to this location when I first moved to the area. It was scary. The place was wrecked and the parking lot a mess. I don’t attribute this to much to Walmart rather how some shoppers act. It isn’t necessary to throw trash in the parking lot or dishevel merchandise. I haven’t been back! I now drive a little farther to the Walmart next to the Southpark Mall(across from Target).

Despite the fact that it’s in Petersburg, I actually prefer this locations over the one in colonial heights, which is in 15 mins away. The people here are, for the most part, helpful and actually nice. But you do have a few bad apples. Other than that I love this location and will def. recommend it to anyone.

This is one of the nicer walmarts I’ve been to(I try to avoid them in general) the cashier was friendly(thats not the norm for walmart). Produce was fresh so that was a plus. And they had all I was looking for It says something about the town when walmart is classier than the other grocery stores.

this walmart ‘s clearance section was awesome! its near the. Garden department. And they had tons of stuff on clearance from toys to craft items. The person working at the deli seemed like he was genuinly happy to be helping us. And our cashier was super nice not just with small talk but friendly all around… will shop here again.

Ok, I’ve been to some Wal-Marts that were in interesting locations. This one — well, it’s literally built at the end of Crater Road’s city zones. If you bother to drive out one minute east, you’re back into Deliverance — I mean, it’s seriously that bad. Now the store is your typical Wal-Mart — large, with a huge variety, and full of customers who look like peanut M&Ms on legs. The handy thing is that you can purchase guns and ammo here — a staple for the great commonwealth of Virginia. You’ll need it too — Petersburg isn’t a nice place.
