Elliott’s Ace Hardware Stores

I have been here three times. Each time I have been asked if I would like assistance (sometimes by 2 – 3 people). They were friendly and not annoying about it. I think the store is kept orderly, though the aisles feel a bit tight. I like that there is plenty of parking and that it can be a fast trip compared to other stores.

In comparison to other Ace locations, this one is lacking in the «can I help you find something» customer service. That is usually why I choose Ace over larger department stores, because I’m not sure what I’m looking for. This location has never been terrible, but for sure noticeable. Would have given it 2.5 to 3 stars, but today (11÷17÷14 around noon) two gentlemen stood doing nothing in the paint department and watched 4 customers waiting for one young woman to check them all out. These men were chit chatting and just standing there. I felt bad for the woman who was nice. Management needs to get people to help out when they’ve got nothing to do and register lines are full. Even in the big wig jobs these days you’ve got to be a man/​woman of more than one hat.
