I wish I could review what it was like to rent from these people but I couldn’t even get that far. I am planning a family trip to Wisconsin. I emailed this place questions about a 1 day rental for a pontoon boat and they informed me that I would need to be charged for a 3DAYMINIMUM rental for 750 $ because the lake we are staying at was farther away from their office than most. That’s more money than the house we are renting costed us for the entire weekend! They said its listed on their site, well I have looked over it a few times and saw nothing about that so I assume its in the«fine print» if its even there. I don’t know if they are taking advantage of an out of towner or if they are just bad at running their business. Either way, renter beware. Read the Fine Print.

These are some nice boats. I rented a boat from another place last year but it was a little dirty and seemed like it might break. This is place is a little more money but I won’t get stranded, I don’t swim well at all. We had a boat for memorial day last year and planning again.

We rented a jet ski via credit card in advance of our rental date. DONOTPROVIDETHISCOMPANYWITHYOURCREDITCARD. After we used the jet ski, we waited on the owner for over a half hour. We he arrived, he was rude, yelled and told me to back up the jet ski as he had to move his trailer onto the cement ramp. I moved back per his directive, he yelled again and told me I was too shallow and probably ruining the jet ski. He pulled it out, looked at it and told me the jet ski was fine. He then explained he was late as one of his other jet ski’s sunk in another lake. During this ordeal, I had 3 other people witness this situation. One week later I received a bill in the mail with an additional $ 600 charge applied to my credit card. I immediately called to find out why and was told rocks had ruined the propeller when I backed up into the shallow water. Recall, this was the owners demand. I explained the situation, but they insisted it was my fault. I called the credit card company to dispute charges. Good Time Rentals informed the credit card company that we did not pay for ‘their insurance,’ therefore, we were liable. I spoke to Good Time Rentals and asked for an itemized repair bill. At first, they told me they sent it out for repair. Now, they claim, they fixed it in-house and do not have an itemized bill. If they really a repair, they would have a bill or a bill for parts used. Again, I’ve called the credit card company with a fraud complaint. I’ve also issued a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Beware, DONOTRENT equipment from Good Time Rentals. You will have a ‘horrible time’ in dealing with their dishonest business practices.

We rented a jet ski in July 2010 and have experienced significant issues with a dis honest owner and operator. Please move on unless you wish to have a horrible experience.
