The Beer Depot

Love this place and wish there were more like them nowadays. They have a good beers and booze selection given the size of the place and offer great sausage and smoke meats as well. Always people wanting to help and friendly!

What I expected walking into the Beer Depot was a small liquor store that gets its business from locals that like its convenient location. That is only part of what I came to discover the BD really is.
Since the first time I stopped in, I have been hooked on this little joint. The best way I can summarize what they offer is to say that they sell everything you could need for a beautiful summer day, whether you’re grilling, boating or just hanging out. They have a decent selection of the standard beer, wine and liquor, but they also have some fun and quirky summer drinks to try as well.
What I love even more than the drink selection is their little cold case full of deli items. They smoke their own pulled pork, which makes the best BBQ north of Kansas City. They also have these baked beans, man, I don’t know what they do… So flippin good.
Oh and get this: amazing steaks! They have fork-​tender ribeye steaks, hand cut to order, for an insanely low price!!! They also have great brats from The Sausage Haus in Oconomowoc (represent the Dirty O!).
Look, if you live in the Pewaukee area and don’t know the magic of this small town, family-​run mini grocery where you might find a 12-​year-​old exchanging your propane tank or swiping your credit card, then you need to get over to the Beer Depot and stop throwing your money at Pick N Save!
