So sad… Just went to their website to get info to order cookies for an upcoming birthday party only to find they will be closing at the end of the month. Cookie Haus, you will be missed.

Mmmm Mmmm Macaroooonss… First, I am a self taught good cook that never leaves my friends or family with a hungry appetite and secondly, I am NOT a baker. Knowing the second rule the best(assuming that instructions are not on a box) I go to where the pro’s are! I love supporting local places and niche finds, using you(my friends on *Yelp) I located the Cookie Haus. My goal was simple, get my wife some macaroons(she mentioned in passing) without her thinking that I actually heard her say that(I played the oblivious dork husband they portray in commercials. though I am far from it). Contacted the Cookie Haus with their Online Order form from the website… which is greatly filled with prices and the sort. Next, contacted them to ensure that the order was placed(I submitted it with less than 24 hours from the pick up time). They had the form and were looking at getting what I needed. The ladies offered 2 choices, regular or chocolate. Though I never thought about the chocolate, I stayed with the standard Macaroon. Being I called them when they first opened at 10 a.m. and submitted my online order before that… I was able to pick up my dozen of Macaroons all on my lunch break around 12:45… how awesome is that?! As a chance to try more cookies, I printed out their coupon from their website that entitled me to 3FREE cookies when I picked up my order; good choice on my part, I tried the Key Lime cookies… I think I will be going back for them. Overall, the shop was cute with a nice location and the ladies were cuter in their effort to please customers and bake sweet and tasty treats. I thank you very much. I do not bake, and I do not eat Macaroons… but after this visit, things have changed… — I still DONOTBAKE — I NOW eat Macaroons!

I love me some cookies and consider myself somewhat of a cookie connoisseur. These cookies don’t disappoint. The brownie cookies are delish… soft, chewy, a texture that holds together well, and excellent flavor. I like this place much better than Tiff’s Treats… I tried their cookies and they taste(and look) mass produced. This is a small little place where everything tastes fresh and homemade. I know they don’t bake the bread here, but I also have to recommend the Honey Wheat bread that they have(or had? it’s been a while…) in bags on the front counter… delicious, thick, soft homemade bread, just like my mom used to make… ahhhh…

Ditto that. My wife gifted a Cookie bouquet for some co-worker’s occasion. My wife and I ducked in on a cold, overcast Saturday afternoon in January and it’s worth making the stop and dropping in for a bag of fresh baked And it’s around the corner from Dazzle so you’ve got the perfect combination in this little corner of Pflugerville.

The Cookie Haus is one of the best kept secrets in Pflugerville(but that won’t last long, I know). I discovered this place at its former location and have been coming back ever since. It’s owned by a school teacher who bakes some of the world’s tastiest cookies. My favorites are the coconut macaroon. The new location has a little sitting area to enjoy cookies and refreshments. This is a great place to take the family for a nice treat or for a quick grab-and-go for fresh cookies.
