JT’s Shaved Ice

In a word: inconsistent. The first time I went one of the owners was working alone. It was a weekday afternoon, so we were the only ones there. He was really nice and churned out a couple awesome snow cones. Subsequent visits were always hit or miss. Sometimes the ice is so chunky it’s like I’m using my little countertop snow cone machine at home. If there are other people ahead of you, settle in for a LONG wait. They’re very slow. Every surface is sticky, so find a corner to stand in. And hope you get some good syrup — the owner said they mix them themselves. As a creature of habit who only gets banana, that sets me up for each visit being unpredictable. This creature of habit goes elsewhere now. (I’m actually writing this with a better snow cone in the other hand.)

Went in today after I picked up my daughter up from school and we loved it. She enjoyed the toy basket while we waited. I got mango shaved ice with fresh mango chunks and my daughter got a cotton candy shaved ice. Both were good and you get healthy portions. Nex time I will try the «JT 3» (shaved ice, icecream and fresh fruit.) Space was clean and cool.

Never have I had a snow cone with fresh fruit, chili and chamoya, which apparently is a Mexican chili mix delicious! Perfect snack for a hot august afternoon

The best shaved ice in P-​ville. So many flavors and choices, couldn’t find anything really wrong with the place, its kinda small, but at least you can enjoy the shaved ice in the air conditioning instead of melting in the Texas sun, the high school kids who usually run the place are usually nice and polite, but sometimes a little slow, but no big deal, your getting shaved ice not French food.

So I feel like the only one who didn’t have a great experience.
I walk in and get confused about where the menu board in, but the dude up front was nice about it and showed me.
I ordered a small mango cone with chili powder. It wasn’t as good as others said. I found it icy and lacking flavor (the syrup).
I also asked for more chili powder and the guy just like gave it to me to put it on myself; which was strange.
I do like that it’s a building with air conditioning, the take cards, and have a lot of parking, but nothing to rant and rave about otherwise.

My family and I came to this place on Saturday. We enjoyed our snow cones and even a bag of popcorn. They have all kinds of goodies for snacks here. It’s almost like being at a carnival without the rides. LOL. I will have to say it needed some cleaning on the tables and floors. You definitely get your money’s worth here. Its not expensive at all. Definitely come by here and check it out if you are in the area.

JT’s shaved ice is our favorite place to go for raspas! There are so many flavors/​options, everyone ends up happy!
They also have just ice cream, fruit cups, candy, chips, popcorn, floats… I can go on and on
Staff has always been very friendly and accommodating with any request. Their prices are very fair for the serving size.
Also, ask for a punch card to keep track of your purchases and once filled, you get a free shaved ice! Sweet!

We went to JT’s for an after-​dinner light dessert a few weeks back and were really happy with our snowcones! The kids who are working were really friendly, even offered to let us sample flavors (I tend to be indecisive). I’m not sure how much we spent on our two snowcones, but it couldn’t have been much. They even gave us a little cup of snowcone ice for our dog who we had brought with us.
The ice is really good here. It’s very, very soft. Sounds silly writing that, but they’re a snowcone place after all, lol. They have tables inside to sit at and an area outside to sit at a couple of picnic tables.
We’ll definitely be back as the summer really hits us. It’ll be a nice treat on the hellishly hot days that are headed our way.

Do you like pickles? Do you like snow cones? Get the Pickadilly (see my pic). My wife was a doubter.

JT’s Shaved Ice is what would happen if your Little League concession stand had a seemingly endless number of available snow cone flavors and combinations.
And was air-​conditioned.
There’s also the usual suspects of random candy (though the cotton candy is in a tub, not freshly spun), as well as drinks, etc. The snow cones are that slightly crunchier variety I remember from my youth. And I will admit that sometimes sitting indoors with a/​c and a TV beats the heck out of sitting on a plastic chair on a roadside. Especially when the roadside is 102 degrees.
Friendly gals running the place. They do seem concerned about putting out a good product, and seem excited about talking about it. And they do load them up. My wife found that the heaping small was plenty. And with regular syrup it’s dirt cheap at like 2 bucks, Though you can add on an ice cream scoop, pickle juice, chambor… errr chamoya, and probably a ton of other things I’m forgetting.

I went to JT’s for a mommy– son date. This place is in a great, easy to find location. It’s super laid back with several chairs, tables, a couch and a TV. They have lots of flavors and add ons like ice cream, fruit, candy, or weird stuff like pickles. This place is super kid friendly and the guy making the snow cones was nice. I got there at 3:30 and right when I sat down to eat about 6 groups/​families came in and this place isn’t big but there are also tables outside and not everyone stays to eat there so it works out. Anyway this place is yummy and there are still many flavors to try so we will be back.

What an awesome little place for a treat! Tucked in the corner of an older strip mall, this little shaved ice gem, has all of your favorite flavors, and some. My favorite is the pickadilly. Pickle chunks, suspended in your choice of flavored shave ice with Kool Aid powder on top! Lil bit of sweet, and a lil bit of sour! They also have many concoctions like Gummy Bear Blast, Chongo etc.
What I like about this place is that they will make it any way you order it, the weirder the better! And I like weird stuff!
Open until 9 pm on weekdays, an 10pm on weekends, how convenient! I guess I better renew, and upgrade my CrossFit membership!

Holy schnikes!!! This my my new GO TO place for a shaved ice! My friend put me on this place, and all I know is that they are going to have to move out and move up soon, because this place stays pretty packed, and I see why.
Delicious flavors. Not TOO sweet, like super sugar syrup overkill, but definitely not bland or blah. Great, GREAT ice, and totally affordable. I think the small was $ 2 or something cheap. And the small, AINT.
They are small, but when its not packed, they have a nice (sticky, Im sure) leather sofa, in front of the TV, with games, legos, toys and quite a few tables and chairs to just chill & eat on.
Apparently the place is PACKED after school, havent been there yet. But they seem to always have an «open» sign on, so go check em out.

Love this place. We were looking for a great snow cone place when we moved to Round Rock. We went to Kawaii and was disappointed so went to JT’s based on the reviews. The snow cones are full of juice and quickly made. The 2 girls working there were very friendly. Our family loves snow cones and have had them all over Texas. This our new favorite spot.

I love this place! It’s 2 minutes from my house and they’re completely affordable! You could eat here every day of summer and still not try every flavor combination!

This place is crazy convenient, original, and affordable!
For years, businesses have been in and out of this location, but I really hope this one stays! If you live in the area you owe it to yourself and your little ones to give this place a visit. There is so much more than Snow cones available and it’s all very moderately prices. Sometimes it gets packed so be patient! It’s worth it!

Amazing assortment of flavors including awesome fresh fruit combos! Great for the kids and very friendly service! This place is good no matter what the season! Can’t wait for summer!
