Brian was a breath of fresh air. He came in, did his job, shared information and left the decision up to us. He suggested spray insulating our basement, without knowing that my husband had always wanted to do that. Our whole experience has been pleasant. I would recommend Halco to anyone.

When NY state offered a tax incentive to get a house energy audit, we hired Halco. Their professionals were very thorough and sold us on redoing our attic insulation. They did a good job — with one exception. Heat loss around a bathroom fan they installed was causing excessive ice buildup on our roof. Even though the job was done years ago, when we called to ask what they would do for us, they sent a technician who saw the problem and agreed to send a crew — at company expense — to improve the insulation around the fan. This is the second time Halco has stood by its work (we previously had a complaint about work they did on our furnace, and they made it right). We’ve used them for a number of plumbing jobs, as well, and have always been impressed by their experienced workers and honest practices. This is a good, honest company.

Called with no heat, showed up a day later than promised. Given a bill for $ 633.47 to inspect system that is 1 year old. Remedy was to buy a new system for over $ 6400. to replace a system that is only $ 1881.95 Save your time, and most importantly save your $$$$. They just plain rip you off!!!

If I could give this company ZERO stars, I would. Twice, I have made an appointment for them to come and do an annual service on our furnace. Twice, they have given me a window of many hours to wait for them to arrive. Twice, they have not been there in that window and have left us having to cancel because they have come too late in the day and we made plans that should have reasonably been met if they could arrive on time.
I do not understand this business model or how they even stay in business. Don’t waste your time.
