Everything I’ve ever had from here has been really good, especially the pasta dishes. The delivery is always fast. Not sure why so many negative reviews but I order from here a lot and have never been disappointed or had a problem.

I tried a gluten free pie and didn’t enjoy it at all, very nice staff but I prob won’t be back. A little pricy for the quality in a neighborhood with tons of pizza.

My girlfriend brought home wings and fries from here. It was okay but not great. The fries were thick steak cut fries, but it was obvious they were overlooked. It left a sort of lingering burnt aftertaste. The wings had a good sauce on them but it seemed like the sauce was added too late in the cooking process. It was thin and didn’t really stick to the wings themselves. It was mostly in the bottom of the container. My girlfriend ended up using the sauce to dip her fries in. The wings themselves seemed to be cooked well but without the sauce actually being on most of the wing you really only got maybe one bite that actually tasted like buffalo. It wasn’t bad but I can’t say I’m impressed.

No matter how many times I give this place another try, I’m always disappointed. The pepperoni pizza has never been consistent. We have had thick slices of pepperoni, cut up chunks of pepperoni, 1 piece of pepperoni per slice, undercooked and over cooked. All of those times have been mixed in a with times the pizza was good, which is why I’ve given them so many chances. It seems they have made upgrades since the owner texted me for feedback and I told him his ingredients taste cheap, but you can tell they’re still cutting corners in other places. For example, there’s now a «2 pieces of pepperoni per slice» theme going on. The wings are also inconsistent– really small, slimy, just wings/no drumsticks, or just plain okay. I’m not a fan of their house wing sauce, because sometimes it takes like a marinara sauce. The blue cheese is gross and you can tell they cheap out on quality there. The sandwiches are fairly decent but also inconsistent. But why bother when Peasano’s is not even half a mile away. Overall: One star for the sandwiches, one star for the delivery guy. Save your money and order from Rustica. It might cost more but it’s worth it.

Running errands around 3, realizing I forgot to eat today. Had the chef here whip me up a delicious chicken parm. It had a substantial amount of chicken and the crust on the sammich was nice and crispy. Just what I needed on a day like today.

Decent price and delivery times. Pizza sauce is tasty, a bit on the garlic’y side if you like that.

The pizza I have had hear is decent. I ordered the pasta bolognese and I really enjoyed it. The garlic knots that come with it were really tasty too. I have not eaten at the restaurant but their delivery is quick and easy.

Ran into this quaint lil place by accident 1 evening .It is almost un noticeable, good music and friendly atmosphere. any who I was mesmerized by the picture perfect pizza’s on display lol. So I finally decided on the buffalo chicken pizza slice. To my surprise it was just as awesome as it looked mmm! So I ordered a whole pie to go. The cook was very knowledgable to the menu which is rare ., told several friends about this spot and we’ve ordered several times again, each time was better then before .my new pizza go to ! Kudos to the cook, the food is on point.(Ps) a pop of colors on the store front would help draw more attention especially when driving pass

Ordered from here the other night, the lady working the register was nice but the guy making the pizza was extremely cocky and gave me a bad vibe. The pizza itself was ok but the sauce is very bland. Their garlic knots were trash… no taste to them whatsoever. All in all I definitely won’t eat here again. There are plenty other pizza shops on Girard ave that’d I recommend. To add, the owner also texted me asking for my feedback. This was extremely weird to me. I know it isn’t that serious but it was just awkward.

Bottom line… So disgusting. We got a pizza and wings. The pizza was undercooked and just not good. The wings still looked pink. We threw them both out and won’t order here ever again. Also, the sign outside said a large pizza was 8.49 and wings were 8.00. Somehow our total was $ 24 dollars. Just yuck. The name and storefront really fooled us. Plenty of other good places within a 3 minute walk to order from. Thanks but no thanks art of pizza.

This pizza place is horrible. I haven’t been to them all but this is the first one I’ve ever had a bad experience about. I ordered my food(chicken parm sandwich and 12″ pizza with«brisket» and red peppers) from Grubhub. When we got our food it was horrible. The chicken parm was burnt the breaded chicken was soo over cook and barely eatible. As for the pizza according to management cheesestake meat is now brisket and dough is made from cardboard. I went into Art of Pizza to let them know what the situation was. the reponse that i recieved is that the food was good and nothing was wrong with it. Instead of calling it what is the staff just carried on and said that it is their best quality and they never have a complaint. I had them call the owner and thats where it got worse. Instead of offering a solution he procceed to question me as if i did something. After a short nasty conversation nothing was resolved. THISIS A WARNINGNEVEREATHERE!!!

First time I ordered from here the chicken cheese steak was one of the best sandwiches I’d had in a long time. Also, my sandwich came with fries and was very large. Pizza was edible at best. Second time I ordered a chicken cheese steak again because I was craving that wonderful sandwich I’d had the first time. Sandwich was ½ to ¾ the size of the first and did not come with fries. I didn’t want them anyway, but my comment is based on consistency. I also ordered chicken parmesan which was burnt pieces mixed in a watery sauce that tasted more like olives than tomatoes. Overall is it edible? Yes. Just not a place I’d recommend to someone. I will try the chicken sandwich one more time at some point in hopes my most recent experience was a fluke.

The pizza was DELICIOUS! We waited quite a while for it, but it was definitely worth it. Also– BYOB. Come here with a bottle of wine for a nice dinner.

[This review is for the garlic knots only; and originally appeared on JoPincushion.com] Less than a year old, Art of Pizza is a BYOB brick-oven pizzeria that offers a variety of gourmet pizzas in addition to the standard pizza shop fare such as sandwiches and… knots! While the scent is definitively garlic, it was not overpowering. The appearance of AOP’s knots is appealing: the«perfect» knot size that I prefer and a nice color; the biggest difference being the red pepper flakes that intermingled with the dried parsley and parmesan. A nice crispy outside was matched with a doughy inside and the kick of the red pepper flakes made these knots outside of the norm but in a good way! It was a welcome change and complimented the decent garlic flavor that was present. The marinara accompaniment was a tasty addition to the already savory knots. Consider me a fan!

We stumbled in here late one night during a snowy icy sleet storm that was rocking Philly for the third time in a week. We wanted to go to another restaurant down the street, which had closed due to the weather, but the fine folks at Art of Pizza were still cooking and serving the fine people of Philadelphia. We tried the margherita, the white pizza with broccoli and the final slice(a massive piece bigger than my head) the PIZZAZPIE. It had American cheese sauce, tomatoes and spices. The pizza was brought out quickly and piping hot and they even brought us free garlic knots to keep us warm while we waited. I must admit, it was just nice to be able to strip off our wet outer layers and sit somewhere warm, but the food was just great! My boyfriend is convinced we need to bring people there to try the Pizzaz Pie, and I just might take him up on it. Service, food, charming ambiance in a snowstorm… check! We’ll be back.

Definitely not trying Art of Pizza for a third time. First time. Pizza was big and fairly priced, but not a style I prefer. The dough is fluffier and not crispy, while the center was soft. The sauce had a very heavy raw onion flavor or something that I just couldn’t quite figure out. Either way, those things are merely personal taste so I figured that I’d try them again and get something different. 2nd time. I only live 4 blocks away. It somehow took one hour and 50 minutes to get my food! Ok, fine. It happens. It was obvious that my food was sitting around for a while. It was lukewarm and I had to peel it off the containers. The ‘hand cut’ cheese fries looked shriveled as if they were sitting around for days. The bottom was burnt while some fries were still slightly raw on top, yet even the burnt ones were somehow flavorless. Opened the brisket sandwich called the Rembrandt, which is an obvious knockoff of Paesano’s signature sandwich down the street. Once again, I had to peel off the foil and paper as if it were a slim jim, and then had to pull out bits of paper glued to the sandwich since it was obviously sitting around. The brisket had an odd taste and was so fatty that at one point I spit out a bite that was nothing but a blob of fat in a bun. F that noise. Figured it would at least be ok as cat food, but they wanted nothing to do with it. Onto the drink. Hey, at least they have Stewart’s Root Beer, right?! That’ll at least make everything somewhat better since I rarely drink soda but will always be a sucker for an occasional Stewart’s Root Beer! Nope. Nada. They couldn’t even get this right. Their grub hub menu plainly says«Stewart’s Root Beer», which is what I was expecting. Instead, they send me diet root beer which is sweetened with aspartame-and it tastes exactly like the first syllable of the sweetener. It ended up in the trash like everything else, and I ended up running over to Palm Tree market for a turkey on rye and calling it a $ 20(with tip) lesson to not order from this place again.

This is pretty good stuff. My roommate and I were in the mood for some pizza delivery. so when it comes to that keep in mind there’s a sliding scale. We both knew about this place and their«unique» pies, so we got the Da Vinci. Guy on the phone was quick and to the point, and the delivery guy came to my door literally on the dot. 30 – 35 minutes. He was a nice fellow, we had brief banter. Gave him a good tip(it’s always nice to have a friendly delivery driver) The pizza itself would be above average for sure. Don’t expect mind blowing, but for the price and speed at which it came to my house it’s a fantastic deal. The toppings DO taste pretty fresh, not processed stodge like those other places. The bottom of the pizza was a little burnt, but not unbearably. My roommate’s girlfriend proclaimed«I like it like that!» so. different strokes. I can’t vouch for what the dine-in experience is like, but I definitely think I will order from here again. Pizza, yay!
