I did not stay but went to this place yesterday and they are no longer serving food. They also were out of some of the draft beers. I was disappointed bc the reviews seemed to rave and I am new to the neighborhood and am still looking for a go to spot

My husband and I like give our business to the local community. We go to Dooey’s about once or twice a month. Meals are always exceptional. Also Billy always takes the time to say hi and thank us for coming in. I always wait in anticipation each week for the weekly specials. The best had to be the lasagna. Also, I have to add, Amy is a great waitress! Thanks Billy for the great meals and Amy for the great service!

Despite my major anxiety of the Packers/Seahawks game this place is excellent. I just had the most amazing cheeseburger. The Cambria with Gorgonzola cheese. The service was excellent. The gave us a complimentary mint chocolate bread pudding dessert. I highly reccomend this place to everyone!

My boyfriend and I like to visit local establishments to support small businesses. I have to say, the food at Dooey’s Road was nothing short of amazing. I read up on the weekly specials on their facebook page prior to our visit so I knew exactly what I wanted. We both had the Crab Bisque, it was so good! There was even a small round piece of crusted crab which made the presentation perfect. We weren’t planning on ordering the Mussels in red sauce, but since it was on the Happy Hour menu, we decided to try them. WOW! The flavor was amazing! The bowl was huge, it also was filled with Italian Sausage Balls, broccoli rabbe, onions, basil & thyme. So now, of course we are stuffed. But what I really wanted to try was the Bourbon NY strip steak. It is served over a bed of mashed potatoes & sautéed spinach. The portion was huge. Now again, the flavors were amazing. I really wish I had more space in my belly, I didn’t want to stop eating but I was full. But it made for awesome leftovers later last night. My boyfriend had the salmon in a lemon butter sauce served over Risotto and topped with feta cheese. He absolutely loved it. I know he was also full, but he nearly cleaned his plate. Now the chef, William, comes out to thank us for coming in. I explained that I’ve been following them on Facebook and could not wait to come in & try them out. He offers to make us one of his specialty desserts. Oh my, those photos also looked amazing on their Fb page. As much as I would have loved to try them out also, I know it would have put me in a food coma :) Dooey’s Road is definitely a place I plan on visiting over and over.

I kept hearing great things about the new chef and menu, so my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try. SO glad we did! Everything was so fresh and delicious, and the staff could not have been nicer. I had the crabcake sandwich, which was nicely served with a black bean and corn salsa, and avocado. My boyfriend’s burger was topped with a placki(potato pancake), pickled cabbage and probably the best kielbasa I’ve ever tasted. One tip: it’s cash only, so come prepared for that!

We went to Dooey’s Road after my son’s confirmation for dinner. The food was delicious. There was a group of us so we ordered a few appetizers. We ordered garlic parmesan wings, sweet chili wings, pierogies with kielbasa, regular pierogies macaroni and cheese and crab sticks. For entrees we had breaded chicken sandwiches, burgers, pizza, lobster ravioli and the grilled mahi mahi. There was not 1 person at our table that didn’t like something. The food tastes delicious and you get nice size portions for a great price. The chef came out and chatted with us surprising all of us with dessert. For dessert we had bread pudding. I am not a fan of bread pudding but tasted it anyway and couldn’t stop eating it! Soo good! The chef is a nice guy with a great personality! You can tell this guy truly enjoys what he does for a living. We will definitely be going back!

I went into Dooey’s Road Pub and to my surprise the kitchen is up and running again! The kitchen is owned by two area Chefs. From the time I walked into the pub you can smell the magic in the air! The menu was a very calective mix of culinary genius! They offered eveything from the iconic cheese burgers to pierogies with cheddar and crumbled bacon! I couldn’t help ordering a burger and side of sweet potatoe fries, it was one of the best ive hade in a long time! The Chef(owners) came out to greet me, witch is hospitality you can’t find anymore! Thank you Chef Bonnie and Will for great experience! !! «I will be back!»

This place has gone to hell and causes nothing but trouble at night. It went from being a potential great asset to the neighborhood and has turned into nothing but loud drunks out on the street until after close. Police are called repeatedly for noise and fights. It’s a real shame.

Ordered 2 burgers(Dooey’s burger), cooked medium and an order of buffalo shrimp. Food arrived super promptly and was hot. The downside, sadly, is that the burgers lack flavor and are a frozen patty. The bacon was just fatty pieces and limp(not even crispy). Upon further inspection of the burger, it was drown in cheese whiz, and mostly just raw in the middle. The fries were at least edible. The buffalo shrimp, which I had assumed would be at least large shrimp were just tiny little shrimp(9 pcs for 9 $) thrown in your average buffalo sauce. Just save your dollars, and grab something delicious that you can enjoy.

This has, improbably, gotten worse. The«Philadelphia Pretzels» I ordered were hot pretzel bites you can get frozen from Acme with a bowl of squirted mustard from the back of someone’s refrigerator. Long gone are the warm cheese-and-mustard dipping sauces. I also ordered the selection of sliders — please. There were 2 «sliders» in rolls(not buns) with what tasted like a pulled-something-sandwich and a pile of sad beef jerky in a half-roll. Thinking four? Oh no. Just those two. This place started amazing and, a year later, is a deserved miss. Go elsewhere. I feel like I just wasted $ 15 for what I could have gotten for $ 5 and 5 minutes in front of a mircrowave.

Dooey’s Road is a relatively new establishment in Port Richmond and it’s a very welcome addition. My wife and I finally got a chance to check it out and we will be going back again in the near future. March Madness is going on so the place was lively watching the K State/LaSalle game so it was good to see a group of people in there watching the game and having a few drinks for happy hour. Happy Hour is pretty decent including $ 2 specials on domestic bottles. I only wish they had a special on drafts but I may have missed it. I guess my only complaint is that I wish there were some better draft options like some Philadelphia Brewing Company beers. They do pour a fine Guinness draft so I enjoyed one of those instead. Gazing over the menu, we noticed they had many options from salads to simple pub fare to a decent entrée selection. Starting things off, we ordered the Bloomin Onion and it was tasty, lightly breaded, fried snack and it’s highly recommended. We kept it simple this time and ordered burgers. I had the fries and my wife had a house salad for a side which she really loved. It was a mixed greens salad with cranberries and lightly dressed. I was eyeing up the Buttermilk Fried Chicken so I’ll have to try that next time. Overall first impression, we really enjoyed our visit and it’s nice to have a place only a few blocks from home where we can enjoy a decent meal and a few drinks. If you haven’t been there yet, check it out.

So let me start by saying that I found this place by accident and it is kind of a hole in the wall corner bar. I wasn’t expecting much food wise but boy was I surprised! Everything that we ordered was super fresh and delicious. I ordered the veggie quesadilla which came with a salsa fresca and HOMEMADE awesome guacamole. I could have eaten an entire bowl that delicious guacamole. Then I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken and was sincerely surprised at the professional quality and portion size for $ 18. I felt like I was eating at a center city restaurant not a Port Richmond corner bar. I will definitely be returning and recommending Dooey’s road. Oh yeah, they also deliver!!!

Food is good but not amazing. The interior needs cleaned up some more, good for a corner bar tho. The worst part is the lack of management or courteous patrons on weekend late nights. I live on Ann st and can here these fools screaming and yelling outside the bar at 2 am like they are in Old City. This is a neighborhood, not a club scene. Not sure why management(owners) have a DJ at such a small place and highly doubt that have the permit to do so. Hopefully they clean their shit up soon.

Solidly in Port Richmond, this place rocks. An awesome sports bar, casual and a great place to hang out with friends that is very laid back but fun. It really is pretty impressive, and you feel like you enter a different world when you walk in — two levels, great shiny wood, great drinks/beers on tap, tons of tv’s and the food is great. It’s somewhere you’d be proud to bring anyone. I’d come to have lunch or watch a game on Sunday — either way, it’s got a great vibe. The crowd is very welcoming, friendly, and everyone seemed so happy there. It’s not common in Philly to find that, and very cool. I also liked the fact that there were a lot of other women there along with guys — and they seemed to be having a blast too. The reason I was so impressed is that this bar has amazing food. I guess a chef from a northern liberties place came here and the menu is really fantastic. All your favorites here — and something for everyone. From Blooming Onions, Wings(cooked perfectly), homemade guacamole, and nachos… to more upscale dishes like arugula and pumpkin seed salad with apples, cranberries, walnuts, blue cheese, and shaved fennel. I don’t drink beer — but they had some beers on tap that my friends loved… like Sam Adam’s Cherry Wheat, Guinness, etc… It has a long bar to just have a drink and watch the game or chat… and tables to sit, have some apps and hang out… either way, they’ve got 4 big tv’s on the first floor alone. I walked past there while walking my dog(it’s close to the park), and after stopping in, it was just the best — try it once, and I’m betting you’ll be back with friends again. A great anchor for this up & coming neighborhood. It’s got tons of buzz… and I’m already sending friends for tomorrow’s game.
