A great store. But why can’t I also get beer and snacks here? Like, why cannot here and sev-elev just merge? Then it would be like, problem Solved, beech. Maybe our money hangry leaders should think about THAT!

A much needed oasis(for booze) in a dry desolate stretch of South Philadelphia. A bit tough to get to from any sort of public transportation(trolley tracks run adjacent to this establishment, unfortunately the trolley no longer runs). However, if you manage to make the 5 – 7 block walk due east from Broad Street, you’ll find this comfy little liquor shop(or you can bike, because that’s mad quicker). At first glance, this place seems to give the most love and attention to it’s whiskey collection. Esoteric off brands, limited edition bottles(Kentucky Derby Edition?!), and your standard fare of Jack/Johnnie/Jim can be found. This doesn’t really come as a surprise… after all, Philly is a whiskey and beer kinda City. Every other kind of booze is well represented, but nowhere close to the kind of liquor mentioned in the preceding paragraph. If you got love for your gins(I do), tequilas, rums, vodkas, brandies, etc… you’ll find some selection here… but this joint does whiskey, and it does it hard.

Local and convenient, can usually find parking even though the lot is a bit compact and sometimes busy. Selection and prices are what you expect at a state store which is ok but not great on both counts. Wish this one was open on Sundays though.

A great place. I like this store a lot. The counter girls are fly as hell. I am very disappointed that there are no airplane bottles. What kind of «liquor» store is this? Obviously one that thinks it/he/she does not exIST in AmERICA! Thats AmericUH? for yah. Yeaa I am protesting the short and feeble hours of all liquor stores in the state of PennsylvanUh? on this website here. Also, why can’t I also get beer and snacks here? Like, why cannot here and sev-elev just merge? Then it would be like, problem Solved, beech. Maybe our money hongry leaders should think about THAT!

Most people forget that this liquor store exists because it is not located on a major street. The store has a private parking lot, a rare find below Washington Ave! It’s well stocked and very clean. There is usually a good deal on just about every time of booze in this place! I love when the cashiers tell me that I don’t look a day over seventeen; I hope this happens for at least the next thirty-some-odd years.

I’ve shopped in bodegas in downtown San Francisco with better stock and more knowledge of the product. The staff can be nice some days, grumpy others. It’s the closest to me and I go occasionally, but I don’t like it.
